This unforgettable #houseofthesun home is perfectly suited for a relaxing escape, with grapefruit and orange trees dotting the property and plenty of space to unwind in one of the many lounging areas by the large pool and jacuzzi.
A covered cabana makes for the perfect reading nook if you need to get out of the sun, and the custom-built fire pit is the ideal space to watch the sunset behind the mountains or gaze up at the stars at night. Inside the home, a spacious living room, connected dining space, and open kitchen come together to create a central gathering spot for family or friends. The large sliding doors create a seamless experience between the indoors and outdoors. Step out each morning into the private lawn. Each bedroom is equipped with a full size TV, closet space, and unique local art. House of the Sun rests in the prestigious Racquet Club Estates, a charming enclave of Alexander homes, built in the mid-1950s. The house is 5 minutes drive from downtown Palm Springs and walking distance to a variety of restaurants, bars, and Victoria Park.
As of January 2024, we're thrilled to announce the addition of an above-ground jacuzzi in our beautiful backyard, exclusively for guest use. This fantastic addition is designed to elevate your stay and provide a perfect spot for relaxation. Please note that additional fees for heating apply for both the pool & hot tub.
Guests will have access to the entire home and the driveway to park (2 spots). There will be no one else on the property, other than the occasional gardener and pool man, unless otherwise discussed with you in advance. Guests will be given a code to enter the home

The Palm Springs community is a vibrant place to enjoy all that the area has to offer. There is a great downtown area, full of restaurants and shopping, and the city of Palm Springs is investing heavily to become a top tier destination for travelers.
The Racquet Club East neighborhood within Palm Springs is known for its style. Featuring post-and-beam construction, soaring rooflines, clerestory windows, open floor plans and blurred lines separating outdoors and in, the vast majority of the 500-plus single-family homes are iconic midcentury designs by architects William Krisel, Jack Meiselman, and Donald Wexler. Wexler pioneered the strikingly original ‘steel homes’ that introduced prefabricated, steel-and-glass construction of affordable housing created specifically for the desert and is seen prolifically in this neighborhood.
PLEASE NOTE:
Per city regulations, all guests are required to sign the Palm Springs Statement of Rules and Regulations and Good Neighbor Brochure prior to their stay. Compliance with these rules is mandatory throughout your visit. Failure to adhere to these regulations will result in fines, with a minimum penalty of $500, which your party will be fully responsible for. Repeated violations may lead to additional fines and immediate eviction. These rules are strictly enforced by the City of Palm Springs, and by booking this property, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

Pool Heating only (82 degrees): $100 per day
Hot Tub Heating only (102 degrees): $75 per day
Combo (Pool + Hot Tub) Heating: $150 per day
Pool is heated and controlled by staff/pool tech. This is billed separately and must be confirmed and paid before arrival. Please let us know at the time of booking if you choose this option. Minimum 2-days of heat required

Please note that in the State of CA, guests staying over 30 nights are legally required to sign a legal CAR form with the DRE. Our Broker of Record will send you this CAR form for signature once payment is made. Your reservation will be considered ready to go once the form is signed!
All 30+ day stays require mid stay cleaning by our professional housekeeping team. This is a full clean of the house and change of linens. We pay our cleaners a fair, livable wage and we always strive to hire the best, most reliable and honest cleaners in the business. This team is the backbone of our company, and they work tirelessly to ensure every stay is a clean one!
PET FEES: For stays under 30 days, there is a non-refundable fee of $150 per pet. For month+ stays, there is a non-refundable fee of $300 per pet. Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to booking. Failure to comply with this will result in additional charge up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company.
Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 fine.

- The AC cannot be set lower that 75 degrees when the outdoor temperature exceeds 100s. If tampering with the HVAC equipment causes any issues which require a service call and/or repairs, this will be billable to your party

- Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a $250 fine.
- Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay. Any damages must be reported immediately to the host to ensure proper documentation.
- Please dispose of all trash in the designated bins provided. If the trash bins are full, please notify the host for further instructions.
- Any unregistered guests are not allowed to stay overnight without prior written approval from the host. Additional guests may result in an additional charge.
PALM SPRINGS RULES & REGULATIONS
- Do not create excessive noise, disturbances or traffic, or engage in disorderly conduct (including parties).
- Amplified music is not allowed outside AT ANY TIME (including mobile phones on "speakerphone"). Music may not be heard at the property lines at any time of the day (that includes music coming from inside the home). IF YOUR NEIGHBORS CAN HEAR MUSIC, YOU ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE CITY ORDINANCE. The minimum citation is $1,000.
- Please keep voices and pool activities to a reasonable level. Continued and ongoing screaming for an extended period is one way to get a citation.
- Night time hours are between 10 pm and 10 am. Please consider moving indoors after 10 pm. If you choose to be outside, please be considerate of the neighbors and use indoor voices. Please remember PS neighborhoods are quiet, surrounded by mountains and voices can easily carry.
- Only one vehicle per bedroom is allowed at any given time. Utilize the driveway and/or garage when parking your vehicle before using street parking. And never block any driveway or street access.
- Palm Springs requires that all dogs be on a leash whenever they are outside, except in the City’s Dog Park. Also, we expect everyone to pick up after their pet, failure to do so will incur additional costs at check out.
- Please do not store trash and refuse within public view except in proper containers for collection. Please do not leave trash or recycling at the curb.
A call from the neighbors to the City will bring the Vacation Rental Compliance Officers to your door. City code enforcement officers may issue you a $1,000+ citation if you exceed the allowed noise levels or if another violation is observed. Please keep in mind that you may be cited and/or fined by the City, or even evicted by the owner, for creating a disturbance or for violating other provisions of the City’s Vacation Rental Ordinance. The surrounding neighbors have been given a 24-hour number to CALL should they need to file a complaint.
