Great family getaway!

Took trips to near by parks and attractions. The house was very cozy & The hosts were very kind. Highly recommended for your northern Michigan trips!

East Jordan Home

The house was great for a bigger group. There are a few things (grocery store, coffee shop, hiking trail) within walking distance. The water was great for kayaking but a little cold for swimming. I would recommend this property.

Amazing Views

The views from this house were absolutely fantastic. Every morning we would sit on the deck and watch a bald eagle fly the shoreline looking for the next meal. We hope to make this an annual vacation staying at this home because it fills every need and is conveniently located so that you can make a trip to Petosky, Boyne City, Charlevoix, or Traverse City

Amazing

There was a little hiccup a few days before. Blake was right on it and all was well when we got there. Lots of space, beautiful view. Worked out perfectly. We were busy with a wedding wish we had more time there.

Great place on the lake

We loved the whole package and thought it was a good value. Amenities were awesome and we really enjoyed the yard by playing yard games and using the firepit. The house was a little dated in some ways (as you could see in the on-line listing), but it was very clean and had lots of room to accomodate our party of 7. We would definitely reccomend it to others!

The best of everything

The location, the house, the yard... all exactly what we needed. Located right in the middle of East Jordan you might think this wouldn't as remote but it does. The massive yard and beautiful fire pit give perfect views of the South Arm. We made great use of the massive pier and boat lift. Our 4 year old caught perch off the dock every night. Being in town it's so convenient to go grab groceries and other needs. Brand new appliances and grill are everything you would need to cook a feast. Well stocked with glasses, plates, silverware, and necessities. The great room is massive and has perfect views with floor to ceiling windows. If you go on vacation to spend 3 hours a day in fancy bathroom, this may not be the place for you. If you need a big, beautiful, comfortable space, look no further. Had one small issue while we were there and Blake was immediately responsive and had the issue taken care of almost immediately. Communication is top notch. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic Get Away!

Upon arriving, the home appeared to be clean and in good shape. Once my 18 month old started playing around she found some toys, wrappers and crumbs between the couch cushions and pack n play. I had a small blue spot under pillow part in the bedroom with the King size bed. The sliding door is tough to open/close, but very doable. All garbage in rooms were not changed, including garbage on back deck which blew over. Owners were prompt on grabbing bags from bins by road to make room for our garbage! The view from the huge picture window overlooking the yard & Lake were very pretty! Super spacious home for the 11 of us! Ping Pong was a hit in the garage and long dinner table for family games when it was rainy. We walked a couple of times downtown for dinner at The Factory and ice cream! Charlevoix shopping is only 20 Mi it’s away, as well as Mt. Mcsauba beach! Overall, we had a great time and experience and will most definitely rent again in the near future!

Not worth the high price

We rented this location even though the rate was twice, even three times, the average in the area. Our main reason for choosing it was because of it's large yard for outdoor activities and that it has it's own swimming area. Unfortunately we weren't able to swim or use much of the yard due to goose droppings. It was absolutely disgusting, geese were there from dawn til dusk walking around pooping in the grass, on the sand, on the dock and near the water's edge. I noticed the houses on each side were using their yards and kids swimming in the lake there. They evidently have something in place to discourage the geese from congregating in their yards. The house was comfortable but needs some major updating. The kitchen does have new appliances, no dishwasher, but it has had no updates since it was built. Same with the bathrooms. It was like staying at my grandma's house in 1960. The furniture is new and very nice. It is on a very busy street. The one thing we truly loved about this place was that it's got the best view of East Jordan's Freedom Festival fireworks over Lake Charlevoix.

Great location

One of the best yards on the south arm of Lake Charlevoix. Lots of room, quick commute to Charlevoix or Boyne city. A little outdated but that is accurately depicted in the photos/listing. Would 100% recommend this property.

Excellent place to stay!

Our stay was excellent! House was clean and the lake views were beautiful even though it wasn’t the spring weather we had hoped for. We will definitely stay here again next time we are up north. We highly recommend this place!

My wife Rachel and I grew up going "up north". For Rachel that was Land O Lakes, WI and for me it was Petoskey, MI where i was born. We have 3 kiddos ages 8, 6, 4 and we love taking them on adventures up north!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property, but knew the house needed some work. We spent months buying all new beds and appliances and painting/decorating to get it ready for Summer '22.

We renovated the full bathroom, installed new plank flooring and added a lot of extra toys for the lake!

What makes this property unique

The views and the lot are unmatched! All you see is beautiful lake views and a huge grassy yard to run around and play. We are walking distance to so many great restaurants, parks, wedding venues, that you get the privacy of the lot and the convenience of town.
