The bunkhouse was exactly as described- small, quaint and has beautiful views. It was close to the Madison River so my husband could fly fish in several places that Terra recommended . It’s located on a gravel road so be prepared for dust covered vehicles. It was fine for the two of us for just a couple of days.
Our family enjoyed the quiet location, fun gym to play in, clean bunkhouse, and fresh eggs. The owners were very kind to us after we had a surprise ER visit and offered the use of the gym so the kids could play. We would definitely come back.
The property is on a ranch outside of Bozeman. Quiet, beautiful vistas, well maintained - comfortable furniture with lovely accents. It is nice when you stay in a place where the owners really feel like they are sharing their special place with you. I would definitely stay there again if I am back in the area. It felt like a little ranch retreat.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the bunkhouse! The place was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts (and furry family) were all so friendly and welcoming. The location was also perfect and so peaceful... absolutely beautiful sunsets! We can't wait to come back and visit again!!
We always have an amazing time here. Folks on the property are awesome and the country setting makes us feel right at home.
Plus they allow our pack of dogs which is hard to find and a big plus to me.
We'll stay there again.
Brought my daughter up to MSU for student orientation and stayed in the bunkhouse while she was on campus. Had my dog Rylee as well. Wi-Fi was great for remote work, bunkhouse was very clean and nicely appointed. Property is in a beautiful location with access to Bozeman itself as well as surrounding outdoor activities. Sunsets off the bunkhouse patio were spectacular.
Host was fantastic - very friendly and responsive. Will stay again my next time through the area.
I love this property! Near enough to Bozeman for ample city adventures while still feeling secluded and tucked away. Do not be deterred by the size, as it is extremely cleverly appointed.
Everything was great, we had a wonderful time. The host went above and beyond making us feel welcome and helping us with anything we needed. Would love to return!!
Jarod and Terra are very nice people and very helpful. They have a very nice place in an excellent location. We were thrilled with our stay and look forward to going back.
This was a clean, lovely property and quiet location! I definitely enjoyed my stay!

About the host
Hosted by Terra Posthumus
Hello, I'm Terra and will be hosting your stay with us in Montana! We moved here last year from Phoenix, AZ for 14 years, and previous to that grew up in North Dakota. I am a fitness enthusiast and owned a gym for over 5 years. We moved to Montana seeking a rural life like my husband, Jarod and I grew up with. We wanted our kids to experience life in a farm setting with animals and chores! We live on property in the Main House and rent out 2 of our other living quarters which consist of The Bunkhouse and The Guesthouse. Both places represent rural life in Montana. We have fire pits, outdoor seating, and encourage you to explore all of the beauty and adventures Montana has to offer!
Why they chose this property
This Property is located about 25 minutes from town so the only sounds you will hear come from our animals. We have 23 chickens on property which give us fresh eggs daily, a dog (soon to be 2 dogs), we are hoping to soon get goats, cats, and down the road cows and pigs. In addition you can enjoy hikes, fly fishing, and tubing the Madison River which is just a mile down the road.
What makes this property unique
We have a garage gym onsite you are welcome to use as long as you request ahead of time. We also have river tubes for rent at $25/day for a double tube and $50/day for a 10 person tube. If you would like your fridge stocked ahead of time or any other special requests, please feel free to reach out!
