The picture on VRBO does not depict condition of property. I chose not to stay there due to the conditions. Very unkept, trash cans everywhere, very limited parking, siding rippled like there had been a fire or it melted. Attempted to get money back.

The fridge had old food in the draws, and the tv in the bedroom wouldn't turn on. The cottage did have a few spiderwebs. However itbwas in a great location!
This was a great find! Short walk to downtown, but far enough away to be away from the crowds. Perfect oasis for myself, my pregnant wife, and our dog. We would definitely stay again!

Very small
The cottage was easy to find. Parking was a little tricky but we were able to manage ok. The accommodations were tiny and a bit cramped for 4 adults. Housekeeping was average and several cobwebs were hanging from the ceiling. Since we were only staying one night and did not spend much time in the cottage, it was adequate.

Unclean
The tiny house was not clean. Dirty wash cloth still hanging on back of door in bathroom. Gnats in kitchen and the sheets on bed looked dirty. Smaller than it looked in pictures to me. Very disappointed.

Great location and very clean. There is definitely a very musty/ urine smell but it was very humid when we were there which probably made it worse. The outside area could use some work but for a one night stay it was totally fine. Very small cottage and would be very tight with more than 2 adults. Overall it was great for a quick one night stay and would stay again.
The house is in a great location. It is close enough to walk to the pier but far enough away that it is (mostly) quiet at night. If you will just be using the house for sleep, you can make it comfortable with a little prep.
The sheets are 100% polyester and slid off the bed constantly. Bringing your own sheets and blanket (our blanket was also 100% polyester) would make the beds much more comfortable.
There are no curtains. There are only vinyl blinds that have partial light blocking ability. It is very bright in every room very early. If you bring some dark sheets or something to put over the windows, you may be able to sleep past 7am.
The AC unit is in the living room, so the bedroom doors must stay open unless you want to bake.
There is no dining area as listed in the description.
The outside is muddy & cluttered. The inside looked very clean. We did smell cat urine. It wasn't very strong but it isn't a pleasant smell. I contacted the owner. She said there had been cats in the house, but not for weeks. She said no other occupant had mentioned it. She said that she would send her cleaning person the next day "to take care of the smell". That person asked us what we wanted her to do do and left us two bottles of cleaning solution that evening. She suggested that perhaps the high humidity caused the odor. We could never pinpoint the exact location. If it's true that other guests have not noticed the smell, perhaps we are just overly sensitive.
The location couldn’t have been better. Easy walk to the Pier and the Beach. The accommodations were tight and I forgot how uncomfortable it is to sit on a futon! Oh well, we didn’t go to OOB to stay in a cottage and sit. I think it was adequate and I have no complaints.
We enjoyed our stay and the location is good. A little more attention to detail may be needed. Well stocked with the essentials and clean. Need to replace the coffee maker, missing some light bulbs and the shower head needs some work (dribbled out). Quiet and off the main drag.

Ocean
Wasnt as close as.i wouldve liked to the boardwalk but still good.
I took my mom to Old Orchard beach for an overnight for her birthday. We went to see lighthouse in Portland and South Portland and met up with my brother for dinner. We checked out the beach even though most of it was closed for the season, some shops were open and we went back for some of the sunset. The 2 bedroom unit let us each have our own bedroom for a good nights sleep. We walked a couple of nearby trails the next morning and found a cute diner for breakfast before heading home.
