What a wonderful stay with this family! Quiet site (even when Caden is zipping around in the golf cart,) responsive hosts, and ... Jordan let us babysit Caden and Cam. Those two young men were self-assured, friendly, and helpful, especially on the miniature golf course. We played a round with them and had a great time. Thanks for loaning us some temporary grandchildren. And let it be known that Caden has a "fabulous" golf swing, as he is proud to tell you! And way to go Cam on your score of 200 plus 5 infinities! Our stay was a highlight of our time in Door County. Lots of memories.

Our room was very clean and as described on-line. Overall it worked well for our visit because we were out most of both days. The host (Eric) was very friendly and accommodating. However, even though it was early September, most of the on-site amenities were already shut down for the season, so that was a bit disappointing. Now having seen that most places have reduced hours right after Labor Day, I can understand why.
We had a great stay at Deer Run golf course. Our room was clean, air conditioning worked great for a hot day, beds were very comfortable, the location was convenient to anything we wanted to do, and the hosts were accommodating and pleasant to interact with. My husband, two daughters (4 and 2) and myself, enjoyed our entire stay, exploring the grounds (we were there in a day the golf course was closed) and sitting outside the little patio in front of our room enjoying the evening. We would recommend this location to anyone and hope our future brings us back again!
We stayed for a wedding we attended on Washington Island. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just a few additions to the room would be helpful though. Blackout curtains and somewhere (even just some hooks) to hang clothes from. The food in the clunhouse was excellent!
Property description was inaccurate. No golf available the days we were there and no indication it wouldn’t be available since it was listed.
Not greeted by owners; never even saw them.
Restaurant also not open and no indication it would not be available.
We really enjoyed our stay. The environment was quiet, comfortable, peaceful and laid-back. Property managers were excellent, so sweet and accommodating! Mini-golf was a fun little treat!
This motel is within walking distance of the town and is super easy to find. Everything was nice and clean and the beds were comfy too. It could use a few extra amenities (like coat hooks, coffee maker and shampoo/conditioner), but overall very nice.
The goal of my trip was to visit Rock Island, which I accomplished and walked the perimeter.
I arrived on a Monday. Much earlier than the 4 pm check-in. I was assigned a comfortable room on the 9th hole. Traveling alone, I felt totally safe. Access to the Deer Run Golf Course & Resort is located just off Main Road on Michiganiet

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was decent stayed in the double queen. The room looks outdated with a shabby old couch and outdated artwork. It looked like a half done remodel job. Our mini blinds were broken, no curtains and no outdoor lighting at night. The front door needs to be replaced there was no deadbolt and seemed more like an interior door. There is no coffee maker or microwave. Overall it was basic and a little overpriced. Golf carts are parked in front of the patio so it ruined the view of the golf course. Pros: Good for one night on the island, convenient location.
My husband and I stayed here for our 2nd wedding anniversary. The location was so nice, they had free mini golf and yard games, and we had an amazing dinner inside the main golf course building. Would stay again!
The room was very clean and had pleasant art work and bed coverings.. However, the air condition unit was so high up on the wall that I could not reach the controls. Also, the celling fan/light combination had only one wall switch. When I arrived, only the fan was set to work. I had to have the bar help come in, who had to stand on a chair to pull the short chain to turn on the lights. Then they operated together, so, when I turned off the light at night the fan also went off. No one of average height would be able to pull those chairs to control the fan and lights there should be separate wall switches for each feature. Also, the windows were covered with a very cheap mini binds whose cords have been removed so they could not be raised or lowered. They provided not protection against the light of the morning sun. If I wanted to get up at 5:50 am I would stay home and set an alarm. The tub had a safety bar but only on the shower head end. There is nothing to hold on to if you want to enter the shower at the far end (and not get your head wet). Also, there are no hooks anywhere - not in the room or the bathroom to hang clothes, jackets, etc. Plan on living out of you suitcase with wrinkled clothes if you stay here. I guess there is a restaurant with food service, but there was no mention of it nor was there a menu in the room. Luckily I brought the standard Washington Island information pamphlet from home. There was not one in the room and I was not offered one.
Jordan and her family were very welcoming. The check-in/out process was simple. Our room was tastefully decorated and very clean. The towels smelled amazing! We enjoyed a light dinner and drinks at the Biergarten - Danette and the Chef were awesome hosts!!! Smoked whitefish dip is a must here! The location was ideal, too, as we could walk to some shops and restaurants - and just a short drive to Schoolhouse Beach and Fragrant Isle. We really appreciated a place that allowed just a one-night stay on the island as well. Thank you!
