The house setup was perfect for connecting with the family. The location overlooks a lake from way up high, but we had to drive a mile for the public access which was disappointing. (It involved crossing a main road.) We enjoyed the view and took a day trip to Step Falls. I appreciated the view, the fun stuff to do at the house, but felt misled with calling it a “Lake house.” The lake view was beautiful but it should be more clear to the reader that they are not on the lake.
We had a great weekend in Bryant Pond Maine, despite the wet weather. It's only a short drive (15 minutes) to Bethel. Sunday River had festivities all weekend. Hiking trails are right around the corner. I highly recommend "The Local Hub" cafe/bakery very close by, and Breau's gas station and market had all of the essentials needed.
Thanks again Mary for sharing your home!
