Beautiful location

Beautiful stay on the mountain! Perfect for our family of 4 in town to ski. Very quit. A little trouble connecting to wifi in home and VRBO messages weren’t quickly responsive. But still give it 5 stars!

Perfect Winter Haven!

While we were disappointed we missed the snow, this modern cozy cabin was a perfect winter haven. The views are expansive and vast, while snuggled up by the fireplace with a nice hot tea. The King bed in the master was also very comfortable with a nice firm mattress. We really enjoyed our stay.

Weekend ski trip

Beautiful cabin in an upscale community. Very close drive to Beech Mountain Resort. Recommend 4x4 vehicle if taking the Beech Mountain Parkway gate out of the community as the road is not paved or graded.

Disappointed

Bombarded with emails and texts from Blue Ridge rental mgmt … most of which were worthless spam. The House itself is very nice and on a nice lot. The ad is very accurate in this respect.Once inside… it’s a very average property at best. Nice gas stove. Otherwise. Kitchen was very poorly equipped given the rental price point of this property. I’ve rented over 50 properties via VRBO and other websites… this kitchen was in the bottom 5 in terms of all the properties I’ve rented. I love to cook… doing so in this kitchen was a huge challenge… minimal utensils and they were very much low end quality. And the Keurig coffee make required maintenance EVERY time I tried to make a cup of coffee. I will give big credit to the Eagles Nest road crew… they did a very good job at keeping the roads passable during a minor winter storm. But DO NOT rent this property in winter if you don’t have 4WD… they aren’t kidding when they say this.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I had a nice, relaxing weekend with with our dog. Our dog was able to enjoy the outside with us while being off leash thanks to the fenced in back deck and small backyard. We cooked and grilled and had everything there that we needed. It was a beautiful house that felt comfy cozy and allowed us to kick back, relax, and unwind!

Banner Elk review

Overall the house is very nice. Quite a difficult drive to it at night. Lots of construction going on nearby. Needs some nonstick cookware. The roof needs gutters, as the melting snow falls right on top of you as you leave/enter the home. The screened in area for pets was very nice, needs some mulch, as it got very muddy with melting snow

Beautiful Cabin but difficult to get to

We loved everything about the cabin except for its location. It was very clean, well stocked, and met all our needs. My family of four including our two dogs were very comfortable and happy with the cabin itself. As far as the location, it was so taxing on my 4 wheel drive SUV that we had to put it in the shop during our stay. The inclines to get to the cabin were unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It takes about 20 min to get to the cabin once you enter the subdivision. We limited our trips to one a day once our SUV was fixed. We found an easier route to leave the subdivision, but we could not enter the subdivision that same way. You have to climb the monstrous inclines to get to the cabin. If you could uproot the cabin and put it closer to the subdivision’s entrance then it would be perfect!

HEAVY CONSTRUCTION - Listing Photos Not Accurate

I booked this property based on the experience we had with another property in Eagles Nest last year. The photos of the home (old photos) appeared to be what we were looking for (an escape from a busy, hectic, stressful life). We were mislead as this is not the property for this experience. We arrived and found that there were 2 homes directly in front of it under construction with a team of construction works busy and noisy. Once we entered the home we found that directly behind the home was another home under construction with the same circumstances. M-Sat 7 am - 7 pm The curtains had to be closed as to not be "watched" as we tried ot enjoy our vacation. The hot tub was on the back & side of the home with no privacy. (front of house construction and behind the home) I was being watched by a group of construction workers as I entered the hot tub in my bathingsuit. NOT at all what I expected or desired. I contacted Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals, shared my concerns & desire to be moved to another home. Joanie attemped to help me & said she had been working on getting me moved as it was a slow weekend & they had numerous properties they could have moved me to. However the Manager denied my request stating that the listing said there was "construction in the community" NOT that there was 3 HOMES surrounding the cabin, but "in the community" and since they had it in the listing it "covered their butts." So our "quiet" vacation never happened thanks to Management.
