Location, location, location!

Spectacular setting with gorgeous sunset views. Perfect setup for a large group, with an array of comfortable seating areas. Biggest negative issue was an unusable master suite that had some large critter overhead making so much noise that sleep was impossible.

Beautiful House

The house was very well provisioned for cooking and house and view were beautiful. The master bedroom was really loud and tough to sleep but the rest of the rooms were quiet, comfortable and cozy!

Beautiful home

This home, perched at the top of a gorge, has breathtaking views and is a fantastic spot far enough away from the city to be noise and light pollution free, yet 10 minutes to the city for groceries or what ever you’d want to do. Perfectly central;y located to get to any golf course in any direction. We had 6 folks and had a fantastic time, dining alfresco overlooking the valley at night or eating at the huge dining table inside if it was raining.. great house at a reasonable price!

Fantastic for large families

Everything was perfect and as advertised. Highly recommend for large families visiting Santa Fe - the view was amazing and outdoor dining was extremely pleasant ( actually has a table that fits all guests)

6 Couples Golf Trip

We had six couples stay at Casa del Encanto. There was plenty of space to socialize and to retreat for alone time. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of glasses, plates, cooking utensils, and flatware. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was adequate. We had a marvelous view of the mountains and valley from the main house decks. Yes, decks, an upper level and a lower level. We grilled steaks on the gas grill provided with the property and there was plenty of propane as well as an extra bottle. Everyone said they enjoyed their stay.

Terrific place for family to gather.

We stayed in both the main house and the casita. Between them, we very comfortably accommodated 11 people for a family vacation. The main house was a great place to gather. There are many comfortable spaces to sit and visit, both inside and outside. The living area is very spacious, and the seating is comfortable. The kitchen is large, with plenty of counter space. The six-burner stove made cooking large meals easy. We very much enjoyed the views over Tesuque and west toward the Jemez Mountains. The point of land off the back of the house has a 360-degree view and made for terrific sunset watching. The area is also very quiet, and we enjoyed the peaceful retreat. The casita made a good place for those wanting additional privacy. We did not find it difficult to walk between the two houses; the driveway is steep, yes, but the pavement is not slippery, at least not in summer. The property gave us easy access to downtown Santa Fe (fifteen minutes) and put us closer to the Jemez Mountains sites we visited. It’s under an hour to Bandelier, the Valles Caldera, and Abiquiu. There are a few things to note. As previous guests have mentioned, there are some odd things missing from the kitchen (for example, a can opener), and some things were understocked (ex., dishwasher pods). Watch your step on the main stairs as there are some bricks in the steps that need to be reattached. There are also mice: we repeatedly found droppings on the kitchen counter and saw a mouse run across the living room floor. Last, two things related to Vacasa itself: - Check the entry codes that you receive. The email we received gave different information from the information in the text. (The email was correct; the text was not.) - Vacasa can be slow to deal with. When we arrived, a kitchen item was broken. We replaced it and requested reimbursement from Vacasa. It took two weeks, many texts and a phone call to get a final answer Those things aside, we had a wonderful stay in Tesuque.

Extended family vacation

The house and property are even more gorgeous than in the photos. It was clean and beautifully furnished. It was closer to town than I had anticipated, and there was so much to do in the area. However, we did not have a good experience with the managing company.

Beautiful home but some maintenance issues.

This house was beautiful and in a great location but had some maintenance issues. Air conditioning units in a few rooms and the dishwasher didn’t work. Sink and shower water pressure was also very low. We called and reported some of the issues but didn’t hear back during our stay. Overall we still loved the home and had a great time.

wonderful place away from the maddening crowd.

We had a great reunion with old friends here. Beautiful view, quiet, easy enough travel to Santa Fe proper. The check in was a bit of a problem as the codes had been changed but our host responded quickly. The kitchen lacked a few essentials imho like cooking oil, a good variety of pots and pans, and the correct size coffee filters but overall it was superb and we would stay here again.

Beautiful, spacious house in the mountains

The house is great for large groups. The view was beautiful and located in a very peaceful area. Just be mindful if bringing small children as there are steps in the middle of the house and a fenced in patio outdoors where the kids will need to be monitored.

Incredible Family Trip to Tesuque

We have been to Tesuque before and wanted this area and type of home with views and privacy. The home was perfect for our group of 12, ranging in ages 4-74! We had ample room with the additional casita and enjoyed cooking and all of the fireplaces. Fully equipped kitchen allowed us to stay in and enjoy the home. There was a blizzard! And the driveway is sloped and slippery however the kids loved sledding down the driveway. Only positive things to say about this property. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this beautiful home.

Girls Weekend Getaway

This location is not only stunning but was perfectly set up for our girls weekend crew. The large kitchen and multiple seating areas were perfect for all of our catching up and gossiping. We loved the outdoor fireplace and taking photos off the picturesque deck and the Casita was great addition to the bed and bathroom count to spread out for sleeping and getting ready. We had a surprise snow storm which prevented us from parking at the main house the last night (the driveway is very steep), but it was easy enough to park at the Casita and walk up the hill. The management company was very responsive to all questions we had. This house is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Santa Fe so easy access to shopping and restaurants.

Family trip to Santa Fe

We loved the two separate living quarters. We had two teenagers and a nine year old that stayed in the guest house and it was great, except they didn’t have Wi-Fi or TV. The sunrises and sunsets were exceptional and the views from the back porch were perfect!

Great house!!

I brought a group to Santa Fe and we stayed in this beautiful home! We were pleasantly surprised at how much room the houses have. The only issue we had was the steep hill down to the private guest house - but we got our exercise for the week! If you are thinking of renting a home near Santa Fe - this house checks all the boxes!!

Very nice

Great house, lots of rooms, beautiful view. Might offer some more kitchen ware. Early checkout was a bit too early; we had to rush about. Maybe make it noon. Wi-Fi a bit weak, and propane tank was empty. All the same, terrific gathering areas, very comfortable beds, and a hoot of a time!

Great getaway

The house is very nice. The kitchen, living room area flowed very well for our group of 10. House is very spacious and has almost everything you will need. The only downside for us was the casita. It is located down the hill and about 150 feet away from the main house. It has no televisions or entertainment. It is only a place to sleep. The view from the house is amazing and enjoyed by all. Not sure how the heater actually works but half the house was comfortable but the other side complained of being hot always. Overall the house had more than enough room and served our needs as expected. We skied Santa Fe and did not realize the drive would be about 45 minutes one way. The house was roughly ten minutes from town with a fairly easy drive.

We were in bliss our whole stay! The views are etched into our memories that’ll last a lifetime! The home was very accommodating and cozy for our family. Close to shopping in Santa Fe, last minute runs to the store and Ski Santa Fe. We will be back next year!

Work Retreat

The property was perfect for our needs. It was a crew of event planners in town to help organize a week long event. The space was a fantastic retreat. Everyone had comfortable and clean beds and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our downtime. The views were stunning and there was plenty of parking and easy accessibility to the houses.

Very nice accommodations for our family of 14. The outside patios and views made this home.

The patios and outside views were impressive and the interior easily accommodated our group of 14 in style and comfort. Air conditioning would have been nice but wasn’t really missed but for about two or three hours one afternoon. Nice quiet location about 12 minutes from town.
