Beautiful Mountain Getaway

The cabin is gorgeous and we enjoyed our time here! The only issue we had was that the trash was full when we arrived so we were unsure if the home had been cleaned, but after inspecting we could tell it had been cleaned, the trash was just missed. Taking it out was no biggie and there were plenty of extra bags. If we are ever in the area again we would absolutely come back. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful cabin with a few surprises

This is a difficult review to write because, overall, this is the second best appointed cabin we have stayed in during our annual trek to the mountains. With a 16 day stay, we had plenty of time to realize if we needed something we did not have. Outside of a box of tissues, there was not one thing missing...all the way down to glass and plastic bowls for leftovers. Comfortable beds, nice bed linens, ample counter space in bathrooms, empty kitchen cabinet space for people like us who prefer to mostly cook in and who bring supplies to do so. An available vacuum and some cleaning supplies were extra nice for a long stay. A couple of things did surprise us: 1) This cabin is in a growing cabin community. There are several cabins very nearby. The lack of privacy was disappointing at first, but we found very friendly year 'round neighbors who we enjoyed very much. There are very reasonable "quiet hours" that were well observed by other renters. 2) Due to NC building codes (and the fact that this is a new cabin), the fireplace is a government regulated failure if you look for a cozy fireplace to provide warmth and ambiance. I couldn't figure out what we were doing wrong because it kept going off quickly. When I texted Elise, she told me that it was a requirement to have a thermostat IN THE LOGS. So, I timed it just to be sure I am reviewing accurately. The first light to cold logs will give you about 11 minutes of fire. It decreases the fire and increases the cycle until, pretty quickly, you have 5 minutes of fire and 10 minutes off. A fireplace in the mountains in October is a HUGE part of why we rent what we rent so this was our biggest disappointment. Moving forward, I will know to ask if the fireplace listed actually works as you would expect a fireplace to work. And this is why this is a difficult review to write. I wish we had been warned. Such a beautiful spot to vacation. The leaves in NC are a week or two ahead of the leaves in N Georgia. It was gorgeous. And Elise was easy to work with and so quick to respond. For space, the cabin was everything we needed. If I could give a 4.7, I would. Since I cannot, rounding up is the right thing to do.

Awesome Time

This cabin is awesome- so beautifully decorated- amazed at the location. So many added extras not normally found in a VRBO. Kitchen was fully stocked- everything you would need and more. Dishwasher is a little tricky- beds were great. We will definitely be back. You will not be disappointed in this rental.

Tidy and well appointed cabin

The cabin was lovely. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with needed amenities. The host was very generous and communication was excellent. Definitely follow the extra directions given by the host because GPS only gets you part of the way. We came in very late at night and wouldn’t have found our way without the directions that were sent ahead of time. Cell signal was very impaired in the general area, so it wouldn’t have been easy to get help if I hadn’t have screenshot the directions sent by the host in advance. The location didn’t quite meet our unique needs, but that was on me. It was pretty remote, so we had to drive more than intended.
