This home is newly built (2019) in the fun/funky Irish Channel. It is 1,100 sq. ft, has high ceilings, is welcoming, airy, and bright. It has easy access to all of the city. Only 0.7 miles to parade routes!

The space
The Toledano Cottage is a single-family dwelling. You have the entire house to yourself and do not share any walls with anyone.

You'll love this fun, comfortable space! The cottage has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with memory foam mattress and brand new comfy linens and pillows. It has a large, walk-in closet and a luxury bathroom, modern shower, and double vanity. There is a Roku TV with remote and a desk/chair as well.

The second bedroom has two full sized beds, memory foam mattresses, and new, crisp linens and pillows. A Roku TV and remote are on the dresser.

There is a full sized washer and dryer available for guest use. There is also a sleeper sofa for those who want to escape any snoring.

The cottage has free street parking right in front. You'll get access to the house from a code I send you for the electronic keycode lock.

Grocery stores, bars, amazing restaurants, banks, dry cleaners, pharmacies, all kinds of local/retail shopping, and fashion/costume stores are all very close by/walkable.

Other things to note
Staying here you'll be centrally located to many parts of the city. The heart of Magazine St and its funky boutiques, bars, restaurants, and people watching are a short walk away. St. Charles Ave, the streetcar line, and major Mardi Gras parades are a few blocks further, through some of the most scenic and picturesque neighborhoods in the city.

Uptown, Broadmoor, the Garden District, Central City, and the Warehouse District are accessible by rental bike or a 5 minute drive. A 10 minute Uber can get you to the French Quarter, Universities, and Carrollton neighborhood. Mid-City, the Marigny, Lakefront, and Bywater are just a bit further. You just need to decide which direction you want to explore and start moving!

The Perfect Place to Stay while in NOLA

Absolutely fabulous! Location, location, location!! We were so close to everywhere we needed to go. Our host was exceptional! He responded to all of my questions immediately. They provided a nice guide book for the home and touring. Beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed plus a washer and dryer for our weeks stay! Thank you we can’t wait to come back and stay in NOLA again!

Great place

A great base for those visiting the city who prefer staying close to the Garden District. Perfectly appointed, washer/dryer convenience, spacious yet cozy. Owner was attentive but hands-off. We called the place “perfect” many times during our week-long visit. We look forward to our return!

Irish Channel

House was near perfect! Our host was very attentive to our needs. Because I’m not tech savvy, I found communicating through vrbo app impossible so Andrew accommodated me and made it all easy. Would definitely stay there again as the location makes walking to a variety of restaurants and shops simple and fun.

Mardi Gras in The Irish Channel

Lovely newer house within walking distance to shops on Magazine, Tipitina's, even up to St. Charles. We'd just walk to the parades in the afternoons. Also easy shot down Tchoupitoulas into the business district then the French Quarter.

Great Stay!

Everything was absolutely perfect!! The house is located on a street off the beaten path…which is nice! Street parking directly in front of the house. It’s well stocked with bathroom amenities, and kitchen supplies. It’s very open & spacious. The owners are extremely friendly, and had communication with them! We stay at VRBO’s several times a year, and if you’re in New Orleans, I highly recommend this property!!

Great Place/Location in NOLA

Andrew’s place worked out great for us. We were in town to visit our daughter at Tulane and see the parades (well everything NOLA has to offer). Andrew is a wonderful host and his place is cute, clean, roomy and in a location where it’s easy to walk to all the fun on Magazine street, Bluebikes and the Streetcar. Ubers were also easy to get. The local artwork in the place is an added bonus.

Fabulous Fun in New Orleans!

Our stay at Andrew’s place was amazing. It was emaculately clean. The beds were so comfy with extra fluffy pillows. The sheets were crisp. The living space was perfect for our family of four…2 boys ages 17 and 18. The decor is artsy, tasteful and fun. The kitchen had everything we needed. The best part about our stay at Andrew’s was Andrew. I never met him in person but he was so helpful. Also, the tone of his instructions ( beyond helpful and detailed) were so kind and inviting. I will always stay with Andrew in New Orleans!!!

Great escape

Mother daughter escape to New Orleans. Great location to get around. Clean and comfortable. Beds very good. Would point out both bathrooms upstairs with bedrooms if that bothers anyone. Train and wharf noise bothered some of my crew when sleeping. However, they used the ear plugs provided by the owner the next night and were fine..I would stay there again!

Location and layout

The Toledano cottage was conveniently located to shopping and dining on Magazine street. The access to Tchoupitoulas enables the easiest thoroughfare to drive to the warehouse district, convention center and the French Quarter. Parking was never an issue and the neighbors were very nice. Great lodging option in New Orleans. The 2 bed/2 bath layout was perfect for a family or a group of friends. The cottage was equipped with all of the essentials including laundry detergent. The art was fantastic, and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of pillows were provided. I will definitely book it again!

Great 2-story stay.

The owner is great to work with! Clean and bright... a great place to stay. Easy walk to Magazine St (yum!). Definite 5-star for us. This is my favorite area of NO, but there are a couple of things to consider: 1) Bedrooms are upstairs. This might be a consideration for much older folks. 2) A train yard is nearby. I'm part of a railroad family so I love trains. They put me to sleep at night. It's a rail yard so whistles are rare, but you can feel the slight vibration of a consist of cars as they are pulled out of the yard.

Excellent Home and great southern hospitality

The home was clean and comfortable and has everything you need; truly a home away from home. It is trendy, has comfortable beds and has all of the household supplies you need. The property owner, Andrew, is very personable and punctual in responding to your questions and emails. I asked for a broom and he ran to the store and got me one with a dust pan within 30 minutes and then got pastries for me and my family. What could be more Southern than that? We love the home. It was perfect for my family. If we must, my family’s only recommendation is for a half bath downstairs. It becomes a little difficult to have to go up 2 staircases every time to use the bathroom.
