this little cabin is just adorable with a lovely view on the backside. The owner and the property manager are very responsive to anything you need and we're very Needed help, which was seldom.
This was the perfect place to unwind and explore. We loved being on the "quiet side" and the view from the enclosed deck and backyard was the perfect way to start our mornings and end our day. We were five minutes from trails in Acadia on the quiet side and about a 25/30 minute drive from Bar Harbor. Everything was perfect!
The house is great for a small family and a good location on the west side of the island. The screened in porch and kayaks were a great bonus. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to our requests.
Screen porch is a huge plus and the two kayaks you can use to paddle out from the back yard are also amazing.
Tobey is a great host and the house had everything we needed.
An absolutely delightful property with an incredible view and all the amenities one needs. Tobey was the consummate host and was exceptional in every way. We highly recommend this property if you're looking for location, view and space to relax.
Had a great stay. Very close to Acadia National Park so was easy to get to every day. Enjoyed the 2 kayaks that were available with the house. House is in Bass Harbor which is away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but close enough to get there for shopping. Just down the road road from Southwest Harbor which is a very quant area for walking, food and shopping.
We like being away from busier parts of island. The outdoor screened in porch is the best feature !!! House worked well for us - 2 couples. The blue and white made it feel a happy place. Dining area in kitchen worked well.
The place was lovely and cozy with a beautiful view. We really enjoyed being on the 'quietside' of the island, as we usually stay in Bar Harbor. There were three of us, my wife, myself and my son, and we were very comfortable here. We highlyTobey was always quick to respond to any inquiries or requests. recommend!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. The screened-in back porch overlooking the yard was so nice. We used the kayaks during high tide which was so convenient. The home had everything we needed--towels, utensils, cookware, and fans. The washer/dryer unit did not work properly. The two of us would definitely stay here again.
This cottage has a great view of a tidal cove and wonderful screened in porch and deck to enjoy the view. Owner and caretaker were extremely responsive when 2 minor issues came up. Slight downside is some traffic noise but since the focus is on the back and the water it was not a problem. It is well equipped. Would highly recommend.
We picked this cottage because it looked so comfortable without being fussy. And it was exactly that! The quiet location was perfect…and the screen porch was a favorite spot to relax at the end of the day. Communication with Tobey was excellent…immediate response when a minor issue came up. The cottage is well stocked with fluffy towels and quality cookware. And the beds were very comfortable. At the end of the week, it felt like I was leaving home.
The cottage was easy to find and get in and out of. Except for the road traffic which wasn't excessive, our stay was peaceful and enjoyable. The kitchen was fully set up for us to cook some lobsters purchased at a variety of local pounds. The weather was a little damp, but we had several beautiful days to enjoy riding our bicycles on the carriage roads in ANP. The neighbors were sweet people and the yard flowers and landscaping made us feel right at home. We look forward to being able to return and enjoy another visit to the Tremont cottage in Bass Harbor, ME. We didn't need to communicate with the property manager that I am aware of.
We were very pleased with the house. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, teas and a variety of spices. A big plus was the large screened-in porch with a couch and large table with chairs, so if you visit in the summer, you can eat meals there and look out on the water.
The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels.
Tobey is an amazing host. Early in our stay a tree limb in the neighborhood fell on the power line serving the house. Tobey had the property manager at the house just a few minutes after I called her. He then coordinated with the power company, and when they arrived, he stayed on-site until they restored power. This was a totally uncontrollable event, yet Tobey took immediate action as soon as I contacted her.
We enjoyed our stay at the Tide's Reach. The property is equipped with everything you need for cooking, etc. We spent every morning on the back covered porch, it is a wonderful place to relax and read, and take in the gorgeous view! We had some rain the week we stayed, so having the porch was definitely a plus. Tobey was a pleasure to communicate with and responded quickly to any inquiry we had. The one challenge we had was the traffic on 102 that begins very early in the morning. There seemed to be a lot of construction-type trucks going back and forth. I was able to sleep through the noise for the most part, but it did wake my husband very early most mornings. Just an FYI for light sleepers. Otherwise, our time was most enjoyable and I would recommend a stay at the Tide's Reach for sure. BTW, Thurston's for lobster stew is a must!
