Nice place just a few hundred feet from the Trail Head.

We enjoyed our stay here. The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. When we arrived there were 2 trail passes and 2 maps on the kitchen table for us which was very nice! It sounds like the owners have some very nice plans for additional properties and had just opened up a bowling alley not 1/4 mile down the road from our place. I highly recommend staying with these folks.

Awesome location for Hatfield McCoy - Great property

I highly recommend Rosie's Roadhouse. We had a group of 4 visiting to ride motorcycles at Hatfield McCoy. The property location is terrific... right next to the trailhead. Gas, food, and groceries are pretty close too. The property is clean, nicely decorated, and has a great fire pit area too. The owner is fantastic. They communicated very well with us throughout the process. They also went above and beyond by having trail passes ready for us on the table when we arrived. Can't recommend this property and owner enough. Great place and owner! I'll be back.

Had a great time! Cabin was located right were we to be. This was an adult male group of 7 there to ride street motorcycles. Never had a cold shower, firewood was dry (and we burned some!). Oven worked great! Cabin was clean! What more can you say! Satisfied with our choice! Thank You!

great location, great amenities, great house

The title says it all. The house was perfect for the 4 people in my group and definitely wouldn't have an issue adding in another couple or a few kids. the Buffalo Mountain Trailhead is about 100 yards away so no crazy amounts of road riding to get on trails. The owner could not have been more accommodating. Answered every question we had in short order. 10/10, will be back again!!

Wonderful stay! Loved the 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, and full kitchen. Communication with our host was also prompt and helpful. A great place to stay. Beautiful front porch and fire pit. A very relaxed time of trail riding as the trailhead was so close.

Excellent Location

Perfect house location for hopping on The Buffalo Mountain trail system. Can spend your entire day on the trails and not getting to and from them. Road noise was a bit loud being right on US52, but liveable. Just don't have that quiet time around the bonfire in the evenings. The house was stocked fairly well. Will know for our next visit what to bring with us. Definitely not a deal breaker, we just cook most our meals, other than lunch out at neighboring towns. Would recommend more blankets for the beds on chilly nights, but the beds and pillows were very comfortable ! The house is decorated so cute and the firewood supplied was very nice! We try to get to the trails at least 2x/year, so will definitely be back to Rosie's Roadhouse! Thank you!

Great proximity to Buffalo Mountain Trail

We rented ATVs and did the Hatfield McCoy Buffalo Mountain Trail and were very pleased. Beds were comfortable, home was clean and had everything we needed. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful. Nearby town of Williamson has some good restaurants for dinners. Highly recommend!

Billy Goat Mountain Village is owned and operated by Hootie & Christine Smith. A vision of providing luxury lodging and life-long memories to trail riders has been in the works for many years and the excitement of seeing a dream become reality is so exciting. We look forward to hosting your next stay. We try not only to meet your expectations but to EXCEED them! Come visit us in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and make lasting memories with your family and friends!
We have lived on Buffalo Mountain for over 30 years. It was affectionally named Billy Goat Mountain in the past due to the extremely large herd of billy goats that populated the mountain stopping traffic and causing traffic to slow down just to get a look a them. Our girls thought that they owned them as pets especially since the goats would venture into the yard and eat the landscaping...we let them think that because they often provided entertainment for them. After many years, the goats have died off but the memory of the goats lives on here on the mountain. We love to ride the trails and look forward to hunting season every year.

Why they chose this property

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. We can say with 100% certainty that we can offer the closest accommodations to the Buffalo Mountain Trailhead. It is one of the most popular trailheads in the Hatfield-McCoy Trail system. So look no further, Billy Goat Mountain Village is right next door to the trailhead so you can park at your cabin and go! Buffalo Mountain Trailhead provides direct access to the most historic trail system in southern WV! It offers the most single track trails for ATVs and Dirt Bikes. From this trailhead that is next to us, you have access to the four towns of Matewan, Delbarton, Gilbert and Williamson. Each of these towns offer gas, restaurants and more.

What makes this property unique

At your cabin you will enjoy a beautiful mountain top area large enough to haul your trucks and trailers without having to worry about parking. There is AMPLE parking! Fire Pits, Corn Hole, Vintage Arcade, Giant Jenga...lots of other fun games. We also provide the first batch of fire wood free and a Smores Kit to enjoy by the campfire. We also have a photographer who can take your groups picture in true Hatfield-McCoy style complete with moonshine jugs, hats, beards etc. to preserve your Appalachian experience! Feudin', Four Wheelin' and Fun! Our goal is to cater to every need or want and make your vacation a memorable one. Trail riders love the close proximity to the trailhead and we live right next door to our cabins so we are always available to assist you during your stay. We look forward to your trip to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and Billy Goat Mountain Village...where luxury and location meet.
