Then it’s time to journey to the dock to catch that trophy fish.
The solar lit private secluded dock (for Rivercliff’s guests only) and the river are at the end of our long driveway. It is a refreshing walk anytime of the day. The river water stays a constant temperature of 47 degrees year round, so in the summer months you will be much cooler near the river so come in August to avoid the heat near your home.
The White River is home to the wintering bald eagle. Expect to see Canadian geese floating down river and deer on our property,
We supply everything you need for a fantastic experience except for your fishing gear, clothes, and consumables. You may rent our boats or kayaks (on property) OR bring your own. If fly fishing is your thing, we suggest using our private boat ramp where you can launch your own boat. Or you can just catch a trophy trout right off our secluded lighted private dock. Fishing is open year around, and the White River is a famous blue-ribbon trout fishing location written up in Field and Stream magazine and is noted for the world record brown trout of 34 lbs. We have an outstanding fishing guide at your request, simply pay a $100 non refundable deposit to book your trip. Then the rest can be paid upon arrive to the resort.
Enjoy the morning fog that quickly dissipates on the river and the crystal clear clean waters of the White River. There are so many things to do, such as, fishing, watching the wildlife, relaxing, renting a boat or kayak, going out with our river guide, going hiking, or just sitting on the deck, reading a good book.
Forget something? No problem. Bull Shoals is 1.5 miles away, and Walmart is 13 miles away.

Showing 16 yo son where I learned to fish

Lived in the area as a child and fished during summers after I moved away all up and down this part of the river. Learned the love of trout fishing here. We only had 1 night as we passed through, so I needed something close to the water with easy access. He caught a 21" Brown in less than 1 hour of fishing. Mission accomplished on all requirements!!!

Just what i needed

Very cool little cabin, it was well kept and clean. Just a short walk to the river and lots around the area to check out. Fishing was kinda rough on the dock but thats more my fault haha. We did catch some fish though, loved watching the Bald Eagles flying around! Cant wait to see what the new cabins are going to look like. Kurt

Location Location Location

A wonderfully quaint and intimate property. Property was as listed. Fishing at the dock was great in the morning. One could wade fish on the property! They offer a guided service and boat rentals, which we were pleasantly surprised with! Jusdon was a great guide and very knowledgeable and experienced and kept us on the fish! The owner and staff were very friendly. Great location. Would be happy to come back!

Lovely comfortable cabin near the river

If all the people in Arkansas are as nice as the people we interacted with during our stay, Arkansas must be the nicest state in our country! Lovely. All around

Great location, lots of flies

Stayed 2 nights in mid-November. Access to the White river and private boat ramp were the 2 biggest assets. The cabin was as advertised. The on-site property manager was very helpful and communicated well. We had a problem with house flies entering the cabin while we were there. It was a warm 2 days so maybe that contributed but there were dozens of house flies and more kept coming in. The cabin was clean so I don't think that was the problem, but they were getting in somehow. Fly swatters, fly tape, and fly spray all helped. I'd give it another chance because the positives outweighed the flies and may have been weather related.

Small but Mighty

Our family of 5 stayed here. I'll admit I was nervous sharing one bathroom, but it turned out just fine! The boys were only home to sleep and eat so it didn't matter that it's a small fishing house. They spent the rest of the time at the dock or on the river in our boat. They had a blast!

Perfect Trip

We had a great stay at Rivercliff -Little Blue. Perfect weather - 80s and partly cloudy. Perfect hospitality- Lindsey was our point of contact and resort manager. She communicated very well and was always quick to respond to any of my questions. Jusdon was our fishing guide and it was AMAZING. We caught some big browns and our limit of good size rainbows. He is a fountain of knowledge on river trout and a passionate advocate for Brown Trout conservation. My boys and I learned a lot about fishing techniques and made some unforgettable memories. A perfect trip - Thank you.

Everything you need

The wife and I love trout fishing the white river. We’ve stayed in cabins from Allison to Bull Shoals, and wether fishing from the bank or in a boat it’s always a welcome break from the busy city. This a our first stay in the little blue cabin and it did not disappoint. Host is excellent and the cabin was great!

Great Cabin On The White River

Great, budget friendly cabin on the White River with private access to a good fishing pool (caught a 3 lb brown trout from the boat ramp) plus access to a 24-7 dock. The Little Blue cabin was perfect for my family of 3. Huge deck where we ate all our meals and a good fenced yard to let the puppy play. Will definitely return.

The Getaway....

The Property carpet was not clean, we pointed that out to John the property manager, the morning after our checkin, because we didn't want to be blamed for the pee stains on the carpet, that were bigger than our dogs. Sure enough we received a bill for carpet cleaning. We blocked off that area to our dogs. We should have been more assertive regarding previous damage. We did enjoy our time away.

About the host

Fell in love with the white river in 1985 and have been drawn to God's beauty here every day since. Purchase Rivercliff Resort in 2004. Retired United Parcel Service in 2011 and Fedex Ground in 2021. Plan on taking my last breath on my deck at the river if the Lord tarries. I want to make each and everyone's spiritual experience here to be satisfying, relaxing, and peaceful.

Why they chose this property

Located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. We have lodging accommodations equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that will provide you with a spacious and comfortable stay.
Located downstream of the historic Bull Shoals Dam and its magnificent crystal-clear lake. Rivercliff is nestled on the banks of the White River once traveled by Lewis and Clark. The White River is home to schools of German brown trout, six other varieties of trout, and many other varieties of fish.
There are thousands of blooming redbuds and dogwood trees in spring and fall colors rivaling seasonal get-a-ways of other regions including New England.
Build lasting memories at Rivercliff, where America is still at its best. Book your party, anniversary, birthday, wedding, guy trip, or weekend get-a-away at Rivercliff and “return to what matters the most”.
Dip your toes in the cool clear water of the pristine White River. Watch an eagle glide lazily over the sparkling clear water. Sit by the campfire in moonlight counting fireflies with a blanket of stars above with nary a care in the world. The serenity of Rivercliff is truly unmatched.

What makes this property unique

We are located on the upper white near the dam considered white river's Gold Coast where the Big Browns like to "hang around".
Small Resort- Private and Secluded. Owner operated. Private boat launch. Private fishing dock. Upper White River location, first floating dock down stream of Bull Shoals White River State park.
