Fantastic place to spend the weekend! Close to Asheville, excellent restaurants and breweries, and wonderful hikes. Peter was quick to respond to any questions and had great recommendations for things to do in the area!
This is a great place for family to hang out in the mountains! We came to Asheville to visit the Biltmore and loved being just a short drive away. Nice and quiet getaway. Kids loved the hot tub and nights by the fire
Had a great time visiting the area. Had a booking issue that the host went above and beyond to fix. His communication was timely and professional. The hot tub was great especially on the rainy days or in the evenings.
Everything about this place was on point that I would give it a 10 star if I could! Owner was super responsive. The property was well kept, everything we needed was there, really everything...even an unexpected Christmas tree! We spent Christmas here with the family, my lil ones loved it too. Jaccuzzi was great! Location was perfect, minutes from grocery store. Highly recommend!!
This property was everything we needed for our family of 5. Here are a few things to know: What you see is what you get. The pictures are accurate. You don't see a separate seating area other than the basement, because there isn't one. The only places to sit are the basement theater style seating for five, the large kitchen table and outside. This was not a problem for us and our young adult children because we like each other. However, I would certainly suggest to the owner to add some additional seating in the main kitchen area. By reconfiguring the table, a small sectional or chairs and a loveseat could easily be added. This was the one complaint my family had, if any. The kitchen was well appointed and spacious, with plenty of cabinet pantry space. The appliances were top notch and appreciated greatly. However it could definitely use more bowls for meal prep, WINE GLASSES (there was only one), and a small rolling island would be perfect as there is little counter space for meal prep. Beds and bathrooms were all nice but the primary bathroom is snug and the smallest of the three. The outside of the cabin is wonderful! Steep drive but no AWD needed in summer. Both the gas grill and hot tub were the nicest we have come across. The adirondack chairs were also great for morning coffee and evening drinks. The location was also perfect! Close to Waynesville and Asheville, spectacular hiking, BRP, and Cattaloochee valley. Overall, a great place for a family of five + dog!
My family stayed a week in this lovely cabin. Very secluded, well stocked and clean. The skylights and large windows were so beautiful and the deck was perfect to sit and hang out. We loved the hot tub to unwind in after a busy day of sight seeing. Close to lots if cool attractions and the little town it is in has a cute little main street with shoppes and a nice restaurant called Southern Porch. The driveway is steep but my sons small car was able to make it no problem. You do have to back out of the driveway as there is no way to turn around at bottom. Our family had a lovely time and plan to go back hopefully in winter when it is snowing!
Great home, great location - convenient to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway. Kitchen was very well stocked as well as other necessities throughout the home. Hot tub was amazing. The TV room/couch is great! We cooked breakfast every morning out on the grill and enjoyed breakfast on the deck while watching the chipmunks and squirrels. Communication about check in and check out could be better but Peter answered our texts within an hour so everything worked out. There's no marker showing the house number so make sure you know what the house looks like :). The road up to the home has a lot of pot holes and steep so be careful in the winter. We loved our visit and look forward to staying in this home again!
