Nice little duplex with fenced yard. Our dog was happy having a space to get outside. There was a slight mixup on which unit we were in, but that was my fault. Host fixed it up nicely.
We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for 3 couples. The kitchen and dining rooms had plenty of space for us. The duplex is newly renovated and is beautiful. The rental was very clean.
The housekeeper was not finished cleaning from the last renter but they let us unload things in the garage and we went fishing.
Everything else was great.
Everything was great. The dogs enjoyed the back yard. It was nice for them to run around. My disabled aunt had used the toilet paper roll holder to get up and she broke it. They were great on how easy it was taken care of. Thank for you understanding. I appreciate you. I do recommend this property to stay at.
My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at The salty Duplex. Heather the owner was quick to respond to any questions and was very helpful. The rental was very clean and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised on the extra amenities provided in the kitchen and bathrooms. We will absolutely stay there again and look forward to our next vacation.
This is one of the best places and it is dog friendly. Great location!
Great for the dog too.

This May he be the most comfortable and best outfitted house we’ve ever stayed at. Everything about it was well thought out and executed. Absolutely everything you might need during your stay was there and easy to find. Good neighborhood too.
The Salty Duplex was immaculate and beautifully appointed. There was an abundance of anything we needed and great attention to details. It was very comfortable, as well. The frosting on the cake was that at dinner time the owner brought over a bucketful of fresh crab that they had just caught and boiled— talk about going the extra mile! It was the best we have ever eaten! We have stayed at some wonderful VRBO’S in the past, but this one absolutely tops the list!

The house was very cute! We asked for a toaster and never heard back from host😞. We also found the shower head somewhat lacking in flow, needs to be cleaned or replaced. We were only there one night but did have time to explore the neighborhood, loved that we were close to the highway to get back on the road!
This place was pristine clean. All new appliances, beautiful decorative touches like abalone backsplash and tasteful ocean accents everywhere. The beds are so comfortable, the fire ring on the patio perfect, just like the bbq grill.
We enjoyed this like-new modern home with two upstair bedrooms and two bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with spices, plenty of dishes, and coffee. Good location to go north or south along the coast. Washer and dryer are big pluses for vacationers. I would use it again.

Thank you for a beautiful place to stay. We will be back.
I reserved this property for my boyfriend’s birthday weekend because it is close to Winchester Bay’s large OHV area. We had a cargo trailer with us and there was plenty of parking. This duplex is beautiful, super clean, well stocked, washer and dryer available, very comfortable, great kitchen and back porch area. With extra touches like the coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar. Like many, we enjoyed the large shower with the rain shower head, and the built in Bluetooth speaker was great so we could listen to music while relaxing in a hot shower. This place was perfect and we will definitely stay here again. Heather, the owner is super sweet, very accommodating, and very quick with communication. 10/10 would recommend. I can’t say enough about this adorable place. Felt like home.
This was the best vacation rental we have ever been to! The rain shower, amenities, and big kitchen were wonderful. We had a great BBQ with family with plenty of space. Would 100% recommend!

Appreciated the well stocked kitchen and coffee bar, just bring your fresh food and cook. Beds were comfy and it had a nice shower. There was also a washer and dryer in the garage with laundry soap. We were not able to utilize the outdoor space due to the cool weather but it looked nice. Duplex was clean and bright and I would stay again. The only minor complaint was that it was cold outside and heat was off when we arrived so it took a little while to warm the duplex up.
We are working on rehabbing a house in Reedsport and the Salty Duplex is a joy to "come home to" after a hard, dirty day. It is spacious and extremely well furnished. The kitchen is a dream and has everything. There is a large table for puzzles/games when its too rainy to work. Heather is responsive and charming and helpful. Excellent place.

About the host
Hosted by Heather Hendricks
Ryan and I (Heather) travel with our German Shorthaired Pointers for his work. We have remodeled a few homes and sold them to work towards our dream of owning a place for a vacation spot for ourselves, friends, and family. October 2019 that dream came true with this duplex! We love to hunt and fish in Oregon and we are excited to have a place to land while doing what we love.
Why they chose this property
Ryan was born and raised in Reedsport, which is where his love for the area started. While traveling he always gravitates towards "home." When this property became available we weren't quite ready for a project this large, so we passed. A little over a year later it was available and we were able to seal the deal. It was a full remodel, inside and out, but now that its beautiful we can share it!
What makes this property unique
The duplex is located close to our family and friends. We have a lot of fun in the area when we are able to visit, but it also centrally located to so many amazing things for other travelers. Plus you cant beat the crabbing and fishing less than 5 minutes down the road in Winchester Bay!
