Nestled in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains this newly remodeled home is the perfect location for your stay in Albuquerque. Views of the mountain and city lights can be seen from both patios of the home. Located just off Tramway Blvd and Paseo Del Norte this home provides easy access to the many nearby sites. The 'World's Longest Tram' is basically in your backyard. Enjoy a spectacular ride to the top of the mountain where a day of skiing or hiking awaits you or just take a ride to enjoy a fine dining experience at High Finance Restaurant. If you are wanting a more casual dining experience, I recommend the Mexican restaurant at the base of the tram which offers a spectacular view from the patio. Enjoy a mango margarita while viewing a spectacular New Mexico sunset.
If you are feeling lucky only a few more minutes down the hill you will find Sandia Resort and Casino offers the largest gaming facility in the state. The resort features a top rated golf course, spa facilities, restaurants, live entertainment and dancing. Don't forget to check out the buffalo that you can see from the road on the way down.
If you are wanting to get some exercise mountain bikes are available upon request. The bike trail is only a minute away. Don't be surprised if you pass some quail or 'beep-beep' there goes a road runner.
Forgot some essentials? A new CVS pharmacy is two minutes away. Other close by shopping includes Alberston's, Trader Joes, Barnes and Nobles, Target, and Kohls.
Once your day is complete you can relax in contemporary southwestern flair. Our home provides a spacious living area with hardwood floors and high ceilings that feature famous New Mexico artist's work.
A 50'' flat screen LCD in both the master bedroom and living room with Direct TV. Wireless internet for your laptop is available also. The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances with a top quality kitchenware to prepare meals that can be enjoyed at the bar or at the gorgeous dining room table that can seat up to 6 people.
This home is the perfect retreat for two couples because each bedroom has it own bathroom and private patio area.

This condo is a gem. The host communicated with us throughout the process and our initial impression of the interior was warm and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the place was impeccably clean! My family was visiting from out-of-state so spent most of their daytime hours at my home, which is close by. Thus, they did little to no cooking nor used the home's amenities. There were a few issues, which the host either addressed or attempted to address, including a clogged toilet (no plunger on-site to start with), inconsistent wi-fi, and a sliding patio door that would not lock. The door issue was the result of an installed doggy-door panel (we did not have a pet) that was missing a latch so the door could not be locked, which we would have preferred. The condo uses radiant heat as the primary heat source. It also had infrared heaters in most rooms. My family was not familiar with radiant heat so found the house to be rather chilly the last night when the daytime temperatures had dropped. Overall, my family had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and found the location to be most desirable and scenic!
Family came in from Easter Coast. House is beautiful and accommodating with lots of gorgeous views of nature. Beds are comfortable and house was warm. Communication could have been better but overall I would highly recommend
This is a lovely property in a quiet neighborhood. Close enough to reach everywhere in the city but far enough a way from the hustle and bustle. The manager was quick to respond to questions and super helpful. We will stay again!
Property was ok but had a few issues - a bathroom plumbing leak, radiant heat didn't work, internet went out for a while. And had a long stretch (6 hours) of no response from the host.
We enjoyed our stay here. The property, located in the foothills, was clean and well-stocked. Our hostess, Christine, was friendly and accommodating! We hope to stay here again!
We needed a place to hold a 90th birthday party. The house was perfect for our family gathering. The property owner made sure we arrived safely and had everything we needed, and she always responded quickly to any questions or messages.
We were visiting family in town but love being in the mountains. Hiked every morning on nearby trails! Christine is a wonderful hostess and checked in often to see if we needed anything. Had my sisters over for lunch on the patio. Cooked my holiday bring-a-long dishes in the well-stocked kitchen. We loved it! We'll be back!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Decent place but we had some issues
While the property manager was responsive when items were brought to her attention (broken towel bar, garbage disposal not working), this property came up short for cleanliness and organization. For example, bugs in the light fixtures, pet hair on the patio furniture, coffee pot that was unusable until we cleaned it. The closets and pantry were full of "stuff" that appeared to be just thrown in there--no organization. Towels used for cleaning were in the same stack as the bath towels. Although these may seem like small things but they added up. With attention to these details, this property would be much more satisfactory.
Christina's ultimate hostess. She was there when I needed her but gave me privacy. Her home is beautiful and could accommodate at least six guest comfortably. It was clean, spacious and like home. The vaulted ceilings with the large windows
provided a view of the moon and the stars every evening. The home had everything that you could need to stay for an extended lenghth of time. The bike trails and the yard were perfect for me and my dogs. It provided a much needed respite. She was available anytime I needed her-
great communication, great contact. I will definitely be back. Thanks Christine, you're a rockstar!
thank you for making our stay in Albuquerque like home. Very comfortable for the humans as well as our canine family member. We will definitely stay again
We enjoyed our stay in this home and loved the location of the property. The property manager was very nice and tried to be of assistance at anytime. The home itself is a little tired but didn't stop us from enjoying our time.

Very clean and private. We would highly recommend!
Sandia Heights was perfect for the four of us! It was close to the field for the Balloon Fiesta. Easy in and out. We have nothing but good to say about Christine and her property! Thanks, Christine

Welcome to my casa! Originally from Louisiana, I came to the 'Land of Enchantment' on a tennis scholarship from the University of New Mexico. After graduation I decided to make Albuquerque my home. It is simply a wonderful place to live. In fact, I live right next door to my vacation home. So if there are any issues or help I can provide I am happy to help immediately. It is like having your own concierge at your disposal. Because I tennis allowed me to travel much of my life, I feel I have a good understanding what a traveler requires. I always preferred housing over hotels. The unique aspect of this house is that everything is brand new in it. From the flooring to the light fixtures, toilets, sinks, showers, furnishings, dinnerware, EVERYTHING! It is meticulously clean yet extremely comfortable with all modern amenities in an excellent location. I look forward to your stay!
Why they chose this property
I chose to purchase a vacation rental in Sandia Heights because of the location. The area is an upscale neighborhood in the Sandia foothills. There are very few homes in this area that are available to rent. It is extremely tranquil and the views are spectacular. The location is perfect because it is only 20 minutes to the Albuquerque airport and downtown and only 45 minutes to Santa Fe. Living next door makes it easy to manage and allows me to provide the upmost attention to any needs that need to be met. Because the home has been COMPLETELY remodeled allows me to just focus on the needs of each guest, sort of like a personal concierge service. Having lived here for over 20 years I am very familiar with the city and what it has to offer.
