This property is wonderful to relax and recharge. It is right on the Wabash river and it was perfect to lose yourself watching the rushing current. I would definitely recommend this place. We will be back.
This cozy cabin was a perfect place for our Christmas visit. The cabin is beautifully remodeled with little thoughtful touches throughout the home. The view of the river is beautiful and had easy access to the Heritage walking trail. We had such an enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back.
Such a cute house! They thought of everything! The 2 of us were very comfortable staying here. It was perfect for the first meeting of our daughters in-laws to be! It had everything we needed and was so clean.
This was such a great house and perfect for my husband and I to use as home base for a visit to see our daughter and the area. We drove a few miles north to Battle Ground and already have ideas for things to do on our next visit. We will definitely be staying at this house again!
Property was nice and convenient, yet secluded. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the birds on the river. Kitchen was appropriately equipped, which is not always the case with rentals. I will definitely book this property again.
While visiting our son at Purdue, we spent the weekend at this incredible property. The view overlooking the river is amazing! The home is very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. We will definitely be staying here again!
House was spotless. Nice to drink coffee on the deck. Quiet. 11 minute drive to campus. House is on a dead end street and right on the river. Will stay again 😀😀
My wife and I stayed for 5 nights while visiting our son, an undergrad at Purdue. The house was perfect - clean, well kept, quiet. The river view was so peaceful, especially in the mornings while we had our coffee. We were no more than 10 mins away from any place we wanted to go in Lafayette or West Lafayette, from restaurants to the campus. We'll definitely stay here again!
My adult son and I stayed in the cottage a second time recently. We enjoyed it as much as our first stay. The cottage was immaculately clean, comfortable, toasty and warm, and conveniently located. The kitchen is easy to cook in and has a range of pots/pans, spices, and condiments, which we appreciated. We liked the tasteful holiday decorations too!
Place was clean, comfortable, well stocked. Loved the Perdue things and the Christmas decorations. Owner so good to work with.
Something to consider in spring to work on the steps from road , they are soft under foot.
Would stay again.
The house was perfectly cozy, very well-appointed with lots of details and items provided, like toiletries, board games, etc. Though the kitchen is small, we had no problem making our Thanksgiving meal with all of the cooking and serving items supplied. The view of the Wabash was fantastic. We walked both sides of the Wabash Heritage trail several times as it is just a couple yards from the house. It's a few minutes down the road from Lafayette and 12 minutes to our Boilermaker's apartment next to campus, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of those areas. We loved everything about this cozy cottage, and would definitely stay there again!
We traveled from out of state to stay for a football weekend. This cute house was right on the river with gorgeous fall views. It was close to town and was a perfect spot for us!
We arrived to find an especially clean and comfortable accommodation. Everything possible was provided for the kitchen including condiments, pots, pan and coffee/maker. The deck looking out onto the River was very nice with gas grill provided along with table and comfortable/chairs. Parking is definitely for 2 cars only. Well cared for and very nice. Put it on the top of our "stay again" list of places. Beds were comfortable, although "high" off the floor and I had to leap to get in. Bedroom is fairly "tight" but giving up walking room for Queen size bed wasn't an issue. There were train noises but not close enough to be considered anything but "white noise" and there was some construction work being done in the street but was quiet during even hours.
The home was beautifully decorated, so warm and inviting. It had all the essentials to make our stay easy and comfortable. From the cozy beds to the inviting deck, the house has so much to offer. We look forward to renting again in the near future. Definitely a must stay!
Our second time at this lovely, riverside home. Sat out on the deck and just smiled! We will probably be back every year as we visit friends and relatives in the area.
Nicely redone river cottage. Everything was new and clean and of good quality. Beautiful river views. Property doesn’t lend itself to river access but the Wabash Heritage trail just across the footbridge does. Traffic noise during our stay was higher than normal due to area roadwork rerouting traffic past the cottage.
I am from MS, I booked this for a friend and myself to get away for the weekend. It was exactly as it is described and more. It’s clean, plenty of room inside and out. The Sycamore tree off the back deck is so beautiful along with the view of the river. The geese on the river are so beautiful to watch. You will not be sorry you booked this VRBO!! PEACEFUL!!
Overall, our experience was flawless to say the least. The property was clean, accommodating, easy to get to, and close to everything we experienced on and off campus. We took in some night life at Vault pool hall and bar, walked the hiking trail over the bridge and along the Wabash river which was right out the door and over the bridge. Experienced an incredible breakfast at The Northend Cafe. Visited the Indiana Veterans Home and Cemetery which was very interesting and just down the road a couple miles was the museum, battlegrounds, and park of The Battle of Tippecanoe. Ended the trip with some fine dining at Mountain Jacks Steakhouse then enjoyed a bottle of wine on the deck of the home overlooking the Wabash River. Fantastic two day getaway.
We were n town for a Purdue football game and found this spot very convent. Clean, cozy and thoughtfully decorated, we would stay here again next time we are in town. A great find.
