Not the best

The place and property was aesthetically great. However it did get pretty old and we ended up going and buying a space heater. The biggest issue was the upstairs bedroom was absolutely INFESTED with bees. There were multiple dead and laid in the floor & window seals. We killed 5 the first night. My daughter got stung in the middle of the night & woke up screaming. I was unable to go back to sleep because she has never been stung before and we were unsure if she was allergic. I was not sent an email with any type of information. I messaged the host asking for check in/out instructions and received no response so we reached out to VRBO and they gave us the code. However that code is not for the front door, it is for a lockbox on the side of the house which we were lucky to find when searching. The internet wouldn’t connect and we asked the host about it. Once again, no response! VRBO reached out to the host for us and we got the info on our second night

Great Reclusive Cabin

Overall, the cabin was excellent. It was very beautiful and everything the listing said it was. There was one problem with the wifi, but the owner was very quick to fix it. Then the oven and heating was off, but again, they were quick to respond. They said they'd contact maintenance. Our biggest concern was the no heating. There was no wood for the furnice, so if you're staying in fall or winter, bring your own! Otherwise, it was perfect.

Unresponsive Host to ongoing Issues

Very disappointed in our stay. The cabin and location had such great potential. When we arrived we quickly realized the solar power box was not working. The host was unresponsive after the first two messages. And the phone number provided at the cabin is disconnected. Our neighbors were also having on going issues. The solar box controlled all electrical outlets; which meant we had no A/C, no kitchen appliances, no TV, and no way to charge any electronics. After many attempts to reach the host; we reached out to customer service who was also unable to reach the host. Neither the host or customer service were able to help us fix the poor accommodations so we were stuck for 5 nights and 6 days in a very inconvenient rental. If you are wanting what you pay for, do not book this cabin!

We enjoyed our stay at the cozy cabin tucked away in the woods. Though the wifi didn't connect at all for the duration of the stay, it was peaceful and what we needed for our trip. It did us all good to disconnect for a while. Only a couple concerns to report: the wifi connection was non-existent (yes, we contacted the host who was very responsive, and we didn't mind after the first night), the oven wouldn't light (which may be due to the use of the space heater at the same time). There were cleaning supplies available, but more paper towels would be appreciated. Towels and bedding were provided, but we brought our own. Other than that, the location was warm, quiet, and charming for our family of five and our dog. We will stay again :) Thank you for being one of the few locations to allow our whole family to visit <3 It is a bit of a drive to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Cherokee. There is a long winding road that made us low-landers a bit carsick, but just stay out longer to avoid going back and forth :) There are a lot of off-leash dogs in the area, so be mindful on the road!

Perfect mountain getaway

The cabin was cute, cozy and relativity secluded. The little stream running under the back patio added just the perfect touch. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay, but had a few concerns!

Loved staying here! The property was just as advertised, but the location was a bit out there, we didn’t mind. We had plenty of room for 7 with two air mattresses. We had a great time and totally enjoyed the peaceful creek and nature. Just a few concerns- The smoke detectors were absent/unplugged. We ran out of toilet paper within a two days stay, as well as only a partial roll of paper towels was supplied. In addition to this, the kitchen lacked many vital utensils and dishes needed to make a single meal. (Including but not limited to pot holders, sheet pans, casserole dish, a larger mixing bowl, etc) The wifi cut in and out a lot, making us unsure of our safety if an emergency were to occur. There were no cleaning products supplied at all, and the house was a questionable level of cleanliness. One of the beds did not have a mattress pad. The tv was almost unusable due to having poor connection. An extension cord plugged into another extension cord to the outdoor lighting was not safe. Overall we had a great stay, just wanted to list our concerns so others would know and be able to judge whether this cabin was for them or not. Our host was so kind and reached out multiple times. She was available and responded quickly to any messages I sent so we were grateful for that!

Great Stay!

This cabin is in a very peaceful setting that is perfect for a family getaway with pets. The added addition of lights and other touches make the outdoor space so inviting, The host was quick to communicate when we had any questions and could not have been more gracious. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to any family with older children. The only reason I would advise not staying here with younger children is the lack of railing on the stairway up to the second bedroom. If you are looking for a sweet cabin out of the hustle and bustle, this is the place!

Peaceful place

The cabin was very secluded and peaceful. It was the perfect size for us. It had a beautiful outside seating area but it rained the entire time we were there so we didn't get to enjoy it. The only thing I would suggest is to bring your own DVD player and movies because the TV would not connect which we assume was due to the rain/storms. Other than that one little thing, we enjoyed our stay.

Rustic and private

If you’re looking for rustic, private, and cozy- for just a couple or a small family, this is a great place. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with the sounds of the creek that runs underneath! It was very easy to communicate with Anna and she was very helpful and ‘available’! The inability to make calls was actually a bonus…. No phone calls received either! But Wi-Fi worked great for emails, tv streaming, etc… and you can text anyway. We made s’mores at the fire pit by the creek.

Wasn’t what I expected

This cabin was Aesthetically nice but half of the lights didn’t work the cabin was extremely cold even with the small wood burning stove in the basement going.. the main door has been kicked in and poorly repaired, door wouldn’t latch to stay closed and for u to use the bead bolt to keep the door shut u had to finagle it. Very musty smell to where they leave multiple windows open. For the price I paid i wouldn’t recommend this rental to anyone

Great little hideaway spot!

We recently stayed at this property and absolutely enjoyed it. It was the perfect little hideaway spot if you’re looking for a private, quiet location. The property was very clean, Anna was super easy to communicate with and replied pretty quickly. There is no service in this area, but the wifi works pretty well, and is perfect for unplugging! We would absolutely stay here again!!
