Welcome! The Bungalow is celebrating its 7th year and I am thrilled to ensure your stay is nothing short of exceptional! Situated near the beach in a peaceful neighborhood yet convenient to eateries and shopping. Beach essentials like chairs, umbrella, towels, cooler, beach bag, and sun tan lotion are provided. The Bungalow also has bikes, grill, double hammock, full size sofa, and a kitchenette stocked with basic kitchen needs - including coffee! Chill at the neighborhood pool, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, or stargaze from the backyard around the fire pit. Relax in true Outer Banks fashion in the heart of Nags Head. We adhere to a strict no pet and non-smoking policy. Thank you for your understanding.

No henna, tanners, bronzers, and hair dyes on furniture, towels, bedding. Do not run AC/Heat with door/windows open. Pit fires must be preapproved.

Wonderful!

Wonderful stay. Kim was extremely helpful and accommodating. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Nice, comfortable, cozy cottage with a peaceful lovely environment. Her gardening efforts really made her property cheery and calming!

Ideal Getaway

My husband and I wanted a cozy studio type accommodation in Nags Head to celebrate our anniversary. An ideal vacation for us is to get out and about. The Bungalow's central location allowed us to take full advantage of so many places that the Outer Banks has to offer. Kim was most helpful with recommendations which did not disappoint- -from restaurants to the best sunset viewing places. Even walking the beautiful grounds around The Bungalow was a treat. The decor, amenities, and most of all, cleanliness all add up to a 5++ star rating.

Great stay at a great place!!

We had a weekend away in the OBX. The place we clean, well stocked, and lots of great info on TV AC/Heat, and what to do in the are. Kim, the host was friendly and very helpful when we had to cut our trip short. We would stay again and recommend to everyone!

Absolutely Perfect Bungalow

We totally enjoyed our stay in this charming bungalow! Kim was a pleasure to meet and she has created such an amazing place to stay at Nags Head. The decor is perfect, kitchen is well-stocked and the bed is so comfortable! It was so nice to return to this place after long days of exploring the area! We definitely hope to stay here again someday…and highly recommend The Bungalow to others!

Wonderfully wonderful

The hostess was extreamilty nice and helpful in assisting with anything needed. The cottage is fully equipped with everything one needs to enjoy your trip. Just in case you forgot something i’m sure it’s available in the cottage. It’s very close to everything being dead center to all.

Cozy peaceful anniversary getaway

This bungalow was everything as described, and more . Kim is an awesome host , and so friendly ! She had us a small bouquet on the table 🎉 Everything was so clean , her bed was very comfortable, and the sheets , crisp and clean !!! We will be back !! Phenomenal Couple Vacation Spot

Our stay at the Bungalow was absolutely wonderful. Kim is both a wonderful guest and person. The Bungalow was extremely clean and had everything you could need for a wonderful vacation in the Outer Banks. She provided towels, beach bikes, sun block, coolers and much more to make the trip as enjoyable as possible. This was my first vacation with my girlfriend and we felt right at home while staying in the Bungalow. We can't wait to visit again!

Kim was a great host! The bungalow was perfect for us. It is equipped with everything you need for a stay at the beach. I forgot a few things and sure enough, the house had what I needed! Got a great nights sleep in the cozy bed too!Will definitely come back!

Stay was great. Owner has a cat so make sure you latch the gate. Friendly owner gave us a ride to restaurant one nighf. Clean linens/2 bikes to ride as you wish-great backyard with a firepit-no smoking-plan tk retire at night early as walls are thin-nice neighbors-friendly atmosphere-read guest book its informative

Peaceful and quiet seaside bungalow

Kim’s bungalow is perfection. We showed up overworked and frazzled from the business of life and returned home renewed and refreshed. It’s quiet, tucked away, and has literally everything one could think to need for a seaside getaway. And the place is clean, sparkling clean!

Perfect Nags Head Getaway

This cottage is perfect. You only need to bring your clothes and a bathing suit. Everything else is provided and very accessible. Great location and view of the bay. Also pool access with a beautiful view of the bay.

"The Bungalow" in Nags Head

Everything about staying at The Bungalow felt like a vacation but had all the comforts of home. Kim has put such thought and time into all that she has created for those of us who choose to visit Nags Head and select her lovely property to stay at. She has thought of everything. There are 3 different types of pillows to choose from, everything you need for the beach, a lovely garden, and beautiful places to sit and just be. It's nice to know that Kim is there if you need any help with anything. She is so helpful with any questions you may have about your stay--from dining out, to day trips, to things you may find on the beach. The Bungalow is in a wonderful location--close to the ocean and offers a beautiful place to sit and watch the sunset over the Roanoke Sound. I hope to be able to visit again and would consider no other place to stay. I highly recommend this property and this host.

Nice apartment in a relaxing location

Nice apartment, plenty of room for our stay. Host was personable and made us feel welcome. Location in quiet neighborhood helped make this a relaxing vacation. Apartment furnished with some extras such as a dehumidifier and water dispenser. Please do watch out for the small step up into the bathroom.

Kim's place was spotless. She offered a comprehensive book of things to do/eat in the Outer Banks, as well as a map. The grounds and gardens around her house were amazing. You really do not need to bring anything with you. She has beach gear, bikes, sun tanning lotions, beach bags. She was friendly and helpful

Charming Little Bungalow

This bungalow was perfect for our 3-night stay in April. Host Kim offers a clean and comfortable room with queen bed, comfy couch and well-stocked kitchenette. Included are thoughtful touches to orient visitors to the area, set them up for a day's outing and generally make guests feel at home. And the location can't be beat, with easy access to points north, south and Roanoke Island. Highly recommend.

Beary nice place!

Owner was great and greeted us upon arrival. The bungalow was perfect for what we need during our stay. Loved the fire pit over looking the sound. The sounds of the wind chimes was soothing. We were able to check out lots OBX had to offer but need more. Look forward to coming back!

I am an Outer Banks local. My family owned and operated several restaurants, drive-ins, and a motel. I gained a passion for hospitality at a young age! I enjoy beachcombing, fishing, and walking the neighborhood. Being a host allows me to share my love for the beautiful Outer Banks and the place I’m lucky enough to call home!

Why they chose this property

Having grown up in Nags Head I am very partial to this town. I find the beaches to be wider and prettier. Also, Nags Head has tried to maintain the look and feel of what we call Old Nags Head Style. This refers to houses with cedar shakes, winding porches/decks, and shutters. I also find the town to be a little less congested and less commercialized. Old Nags Head Cove is in the heart of Nags Head. It is located along the water, close to Jockey’s Ridge State Park, and close to the beach. Our neighbors and the best! I served as a board member for our HOA.

What makes this property unique

The Bungalow is centrally located, nicely furnished, extremely clean, and packed with extra amenities! Convenient location if you want to go to the beach, visit Manteo for lunch and shopping, try watersports, head south to Hatteras to check out the lighthouses, or go north to check out the other towns. This is a GREAT starting point to venture out. Or, just stay put. The Bungalow is a very relaxing place. Trees, birds, sunshine, patio, back yard, hammock, bike riding - or just chillin!
