This home overlooking the Pacific Ocean has two private masters, king and queen beds, with an additional sleeping den with twin daybed. This is NOT grandma's house! Living room fireplace, master bedroom fireplace AND 2nd television. Cozy CLEAN bedding! NOTE: IF YOU ARE REQUESTING TO BRING A PET PLEASE SUBMIT DETAILS. Our spotless home has been newly updated with paint and flooring and newer furnishings. Come and experience the changing seasons of the Pacific. Stand on the grass and look south down the entire coast! A private beach and cove right on the Pacific Ocean with crashing surf, rocks to climb and afternoon tide pools to explore along with a secret beach cave! Spectacular views and ocean air from almost every window! Wake up to seals barking on the rocks! Take the nearby stairs (out the front door, turn right, walk to the fence/sign.)to the private beach to explore, swim, collect shells and driftwood, dig for clams, or watch whales. Lounge on the deck with a book and get full benefit of the view and ocean air or do the same in a rocking chair by the fire! Exterior of home is very outdated and needs cleaning and repairs. Inside had a mildew smell - There is no access from the garage into the home (the previous door that was there has been sealed off. Description says it has a garage, but you can’t drive a vehicle into it due to items being inside. There is a carport but it’s extremely narrow to get into. Location of home is ok, just a short walk down to the beach. Description says has portable baby crib, but we could not find it - also says there is a gym, but there is not one nor are there any items that can be used for exercise. Description says A/C and Heat and that is true on a small level - there is "1" Mitsubishi unit in the living area that is supposed to heat and cool the entire home, but it is not sufficient enough to do so. Overall, the home is very outdated and could use a lot of TLC. Best thing about it was the location.

A Slice of Heaven
What a wonderfully fabulous location to spend a family vacation ... and with our fur baby ♥ Thank you, Mike and Cathy, for inviting us to stay in your beautiful home. We loved it so much that we even extended our stay so that we could continue to enjoy the coastal views, the private beach, the cozy, comfy and fully stocked home, not to mention having the opportunity to start and end each day in the hot tub. There was really nothing more we could have wanted and this home is truly a little slice of heaven!

We really enjoyed this cutely decorated home and its quiet neighborhood. It had a good view of the ocean, although as the listing’s pictures show, it’s not a full panoramic view since the neighbor’s house is very close and to the side blocking a partial view. But you can still hear the ocean well from the deck and the beach access was great. The neighborhood is close to town and the harbor which was really nice. We enjoyed the games, puzzles, and ping pong table in the garage. We just weren’t sure how to turn on the garage lights. (I know we probably could have asked). The check in and checkout instructions were very clear. My children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A couple of things that could be improved were that the freezer was very loud when the motor ran on it, and the master bedroom bed was not great. (The other beds were just fine though). Overall a great experience.

This was a first time for grandkids to be at the ocean and have tome with their great grandmother. House was perfect for both. Only thing that may make stays easier would be an electric griddle and a propane bbq Had a great stay tho! Thank you!

Beautiful views and easy access to private beach
Loved the house and location. Only issue is the main bedroom bed was way too soft and did not support us. I’m only 5ft 3in and 120 lbs hubby is 6ft and 200lbs and we both had a rough 3 nights. Mattress really needs to be replaced. Other than the restless nights we had the best time. Home is adorable and clean. Enjoyed the hot tub and deck. And the private beach access was my favorite.

Nice proper but needs some TLC
We recently stayed at this Vrbo property and had a pleasant experience overall, but there are a few areas where improvements could enhance future stays: 1. The dehumidifier in the bathroom is quite effective but somewhat bulky and loud with tubing draining into the shower and was connected by an extension cord to an outlet in the kitchen. 2. The decor has a charming, vintage feel, though it might benefit from some modern updates. 3. There was lawn mower noise for about three hours one afternoon, which made it difficult to enjoy the patio during that time. 4. The hot tub maintenance occurred during another afternoon, which was a bit of a disruption. 5. The queen bed mattress seemed due for a replacement to ensure a more comfortable night's sleep. 6. While soap is provided, it is quite tiny, which seemed minimal for a listed perk. 7. The outdoor furniture showed signs of mold and wear, and some pieces cracked when sat upon. 8. Some of the photos did not fully reflect the property, with a few appearing to be taken from the nearby beach rather than the property itself. 8. The hot tub jets were quite gentle, more like bubbles than strong jets. 9. The deck had screws popping up, making it unsafe to walk on barefoot. Additionally, the “sleeping den” is directly accessible from the front door, which might not suit everyone's preference. 10. The entertainment options were limited, featu

Beautiful Home with Amazing View!
This property is wonderful! We really enjoyed our time in the house. The view is amazing! It was great having access to a private beach. We didn't have any issues going to/from the beach but if you struggle going up and down stairs, it would be difficult as that is how you get to the beach. Everything was clean in the home and the hot tub was nice to have on the back deck! We would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to take a vacation to the Oregon Coast!

This cute home was perfect for a beach getaway. Location is better in person than in photos and the photos are great! Comfortable, clean, private safe location with gorgeous views of the ocean. Hot tub was new and clean and serviced while we were there. Will book again!

Enjoyed our long weekend in this comfortable home with a view. The jacuzzi on the deck overlooking the ocean was the bonus. We were disappointed that the fireplace wasn’t useable since it was part of the listing that drew us in to choosing this home and this time of year still has some chilly mornings & evenings, so that was a bummer. Overall though, we all enjoyed our stay.

The picture windows were incredible, and hot tub overlooking the ocean as the storm came in was fantastic. Mike and Cathy were very responsive and ensured the hot tub was working while we were there.

Potentially Amazing !
This sweet double master bedroom with remarkable ocean views, and uplifting great room home could be such an amazing gem! A diaper type smell & deodorizer cover up attempt hit us upon entering. The source seemed to come from a bath with a sewage/gas smell. The rest of the house did not smell. The “den” is the entrance to the house with a trundle bed & bare window with no privacy covering. Thare are no window treatments for privacy in the great room. The kitchen back door flood lights did not work, the over sink lights were fussy to switch on and had a burned out light bulb.The switch at the master bedroom floodlight could be turned off in the kitchen leaving it dark for anyone who went out. The two lovely fireplaces blew out in the wind but no relighting instructions were available. There were 3 hot tub towels for 6 of us. The washer and dryer are in the garage with poor lighting accessible with a garage door opener. We had no information on accessing the garage until we contacted the owner/manager. The owner/manager made it very clear there would be no services stating it was a housekeeping oversight and “it all worked when I visited.“ The hot tub was glorious, beds & linens comfortable and clean and overall cleanliness was superior. I hope investigation of the stench happens before renting again. An electrician needs to study the defective switches. Manager/owner would not provide any support during our stay, it was an “as is” experience.

This is a great location. The ping pong table would be a good thing except that the garage needs cleaning. Heads up to future guests: Bring your own laundry soap and extra paper towels as these are not supplied by the host.

Mike is from Oregon and so we came to Medford 30 years ago to raise our sons. One of our favorite family outings as the boys grew up was to go to Brookings, camp at the beach and get up (very) early and go fishing. Our guys would get so seasick, but they would keep on fishing for those big salmon and red snapper! Sometimes we would camp in the Redwoods, drift down the Smith River in an inner tube, or get up early for more fishing! Some days we would take a picnic to Harris Beach and our hearty guys would surf, climb the rocks, talk to the seals and explore tide pools. In 2003 we were blessed with an opportunity to buy our awesome ocean front home which seemed too good to be true! Now our family, friends and visitors enjoy a MUCH more comfortable way to make wonderful memories!

Why they chose this property

Two words: "Chetco Effect"! Our home is not only right on the ocean, it enjoys balmy summer weather with warmer temperatures unlike ANY other on the Oregon coast (called 'the Chetco effect')! It is a wonderful escape from 'valley fog' in Medford, even when it is raining in Brookings! We have a beach that is accessed only by ourselves and our neighbors because it has two large rock outcroppings where folks cannot easily access. People are friendly and there is lots to do, which unfortunately keeps us out of the lawn chair! It is a safe, low crime community with clean air and lilly fields, and there is all that wonderful FISH and crab!

What makes this property unique

Laying on the deck watching the ocean is probably our favorite, but there is rock climbing, tide pools, beach bonfires, boating, biking, wading, golf ~ and did I mention fishing and crabbing??
