We truly enjoyed our stay on the west side of Molokai. The accommodations were great and the views were spectacular. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
We loved this condo! The location is excellent with a beautiful ocean view. Super close to the pool and to the little store, just steps away from the beach. It was clean and spacious, perfect for a family of four. We appreciated the king size bed and all the kitchen supplies! The kitchen and pantry was very well stocked. We especially enjoyed having meals outside on the lanai watching whales playing in the ocean. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

Ocean front rustic beach cottage
We stayed for more than a week and enjoyed staying there, it was very affordable, it is in very original condition, Its Molokai, so it is acceptable! it has great sunset views and plenty of ocean breezes! Owner is wonderful and easy to communicate with.
Unblocked view of the ocean, easy access to parking, west side beaches (if you dare), great wildlife viewing from the lanai. Go to Molokai to unwind and not have anything on the to-do list. This unit not only had great cooking facilities, but a lot of spices, sauces and basics to carry through any oversight at the grocery. Our host was quick to respond and provided info on a local car rental. Best experience in the three trips we've had to this island.
This is our 8th or 9th trip to Molokai all spent staying on the west end. We love the units, specially the cottages along the old golf course. The unit was clean, well equipped and provided incredible sunset views. It’s a great walking place and a great pool. What more could we ask for!! Molokai is not commercialized so if you want a true Hawaiian experience this is your island.
This was our second time to Molokai and the condo was excellent. Very nice sunsets from the lanai and quiet.
Everything worked perfectly and appliances have recently been upgraded and clean. Would definitely come back in the future.
This is one of our favorite vacations.
The cottage is beautifully situated with an extraordinary view of the beach and ocean. Miles of paths for walking or bicycle, Molokai is the perfect place to decompress and relax.
Recent upgrades with new appliances, furniture and floors enhanced an already perfect experience.
Highly recommended.
We will be back next year!
We’ll priced and fully stocked with all essentials you need to enjoy a stay in the paradise of Molokai.
This unit is roomy, has a wonderful shower, nice tropical themed furniture, and a lovely spacious patio that has a full on view of a vast slice of ocean. You will enjoy sunsets over the southern tip of Oahu.
The owner was very responsive to our inquiries.
We had an amazing time at this beautiful place in Molokai! Amazing, unobstructed sunset ocean views with all the amenities needed for a simple stay on an unbusy island. Multiple beaches and tide pool areas within walking distance. This was our 3rd time to Molokai and always stay on the West Side, but this was our first time in this unit. Mahalo for sharing your piece of paradise with us!
We had a nice relaxing stay. Unit had everything we needed, except the tv was not working, and was to be replaced. But being on Molokai did make things a little difficult, and we did not get the replacement durning our stay which would have been nice. Location as perfect. Hoping to return to Molokai in the future.

Molokai Getaway
Molokai is known for being Old Hawaii and this rental suits that perfectly. It's a little outdated and just sufficient. No extras and nothing really spectacular except the location. We were very close to all the best spots on the west end.
This cottage seemed big with a separate bedroom and the high ceilings adding to the spaciousness. The view to the beach and ocean is beautiful with great sunsets. Several beaches within walking distance. Washer and dryer in the unit is a nice feature. It’s 19 miles into town with the two grocery stores so plan your list and get groceries after arriving at the airport.
We would stay again.
Absolutely stunning little cottage On the beach with ocean views from the living room and bedroom. Watching a sunset on the ocean is absolutely spectacular. We drove around the entire island and decided this was definitely the most beautiful area to have booked. At least 30 deers ran through as we were sitting on the lanai.
this is the second time we stayed at this location. We just love it. I don't understand the bad reviews, OK, the lighting could be a bit brighter in the kitchen, but otherwise it was perfect. This is Molaki'i. If you are expecting fabulous accommodations i suggest you go to O'ahu or Maui.
the location is perfect for seeing the ocean and especially for watching the beautiful Hawai'ian sunsets. A totally unobstructed view. we would definitely stay here again.
This is our 4th stay at 6B. It keeps getting better! New floors, furniture, washer and dryer… it has probably the best location at Kephui Resort!
The beaches remain peaceful and mostly empty with the most amazing sunsets we’ve ever seen. Long walks on beaches with Monk Seals sunning and maybe a turtle are the norm.
People are friendly and helpful.
Be sure to go to Kumus for fresh fruit and veggies. It’s on your way to town. If you happen to arrive on Sunday, no grocery stores and all restaurants EXCEPT the wonderful Pizza shop are closed. Expect a line!
If you are looking for quiet, peace, rejuvenation and old Hawaii you will love Molokai. It has become our reset in a crazy world.

Never again at this unit
The inside of the unit was disappointing it appeared somewhat neglected. There were several major stains on the carpet, the main desk bureau had crooked drawers that did NOT close. The electric oven coil was broken. We could not use the oven but were able to use the broiler (thank goodness). The sofa bed was broken (Though the owner did give us $60.00 off on the total price)
The unit location was far from parking and the area to dump rubbish was far from the unit
I feel this unit was misrepresented. The photo listed had 2 hammocks on the lanai. But there were NO hammocks
The next door unit had active construction going on so the weekdays weren't quite a quiet as we would have liked it to be
I would NOT rent this unit again
Though admittedly the view was beautiful
The area was great and location in the complex was fantastic front row ocean views. We really liked that it had a great beach within a few hundred foot walk and that the very un-populated 3 mile beach was only a mile or so away. There were a couple of things inside of the unit though that were a little disappointing. The first impression when opening the door was a delaminated, dirty ceiling fan in the living room and the kitchen countertop was in poor condition. After that, noticed that there was spider webs, poop (from lizards/spiders? ) and just generally unclean at baseboards and floors along the walls & cabinets. There are also resident lizards that like to poop on the bedding. It's not really surprising because there are gaps at the doorways that the bugs can enter, so of course there would be geckos there too. Asking folks in the community, I understand that is the way a lot of older places are in Hawaii, I was just not really comfortable to wake up the first morning to poop in my hair and on my pillow😔I would go there again because the location was great, but would take a pop-up tent to sleep in. It didn't trouble my husband, he slept fine.
Everything else in the unit though was good and it was nice to have a full kitchen, washer/dryer, beach items to use, etc.
I don't want to discourage people from going to this one, just if you're a bit squeamish like me, be prepared to what you will find inside.
For those of you who don't know Moloka'i, it is not like any of the other islands in Hawaii. The locals do NOT want tourists, development of the island, or people moving there. If you go to Moloka'i, get your groceries and enjoy the peace and quiet at the cottage.
On this visit, no restaurant was opened for dining. This was fine because we expected it, but it may be an issue for anyone who isnt prepared. Additionally, groceries are incredibly expensive (bag of doritos, normal bag size, $10.95). The selections are slim at the stores, and they close VERY early. Plan ahead.
The cottage was very nice and is in an amazing location with an epic view from the lanai. There is a pool right on the ocean where you can swim, all while watching waves crash onto the rocks just yards away at sunset.
Remember you are on a remote island. There are geckos all over and the occasional roach. Not much you can do about these on the island. During our stay, the first thing we saw was that the microwave was not operational, neither was the wifi. Microwave was not an issue, but the wifi made remote work impossible (no cell service or land line available at the property). When I messaged the owner he said, "not sure what to tell you, keep trying." Wifi never worked.
We did very much enjoy the relaxation that comes with being completely unplugged. It was rejuvenating. I will definitely come back again, but I will be better prepared.
The property could be a fantastic place if adequately maintained. Unfortunately, we found the cottage dirty and worn. We never expected a luxury place, and we liked the vintage atmosphere. However, after a couple of days, we found that the home was deeply infested with cockroaches. I woke up with dark grains on my pillow and between my hair one morning. I searched on the internet and found that the black spots were roach droppings. Another day I found the feces accompanied by a cockroach's wing. It was the confirmation of the nature of the grains. My wife and I couldn't sleep from the trauma. We cleaned the bed several times but found it covered again and again with roach droppings. We killed a dozen roaches during our six-day stay, even in the pantry near the food. We moved our bed and found that the old carpet was covered with dead bugs and feces. I collected all the photos and sent them to VRBO. I talked with four different agents, and they fooled me by saying they were investigating and I would need to wait. I have contacted the owner but never got any reply. Besides the ruined holidays, we took a considerable health risk sleeping on a bed infested with cockroach feces. I found that roaches could carry bacteria that can cause severe sickness. We would have expected prompt and efficient handling of this bad situation from VRBO due to the health implications, but it didn't happen. The owner probably will reply that there is no infestation in the apartment. The photos we took during our stay prove the number of bugs killed and show their droppings on our pillows. There is also another fact that proves the infestation. One day my wife was alone in the house, and suddenly a man entered the apartment with his key. She was scared and surprised, and the man replied that he had come to disinfest the place from the cockroaches. This happened before we contacted the owner to explain our problem, and it is proof that the owner was already aware of the infestation. I waited three weeks to write this review. I tried in vain to get an answer from VRBO and the property manager. I was expecting an apology or, even better, partial reimbursement of our stay because our holidays in Molokai have been ruined. This never happened, so I want to make sure that other guests are aware of the apartment's conditions before they proceed with the booking. Unfortunately, I cannot attach photos here, but believe me…we felt like being in a horror movie!
This is an amazing place on the amazing Island of Moloka'i. We will be back.

Fair
I wish there had been a faucet or shower outside that worked ( no handle on the spigots) or instructions for how to get sand off our feet/shoes before coming in. The place would be much cleaner ( and drains in better shape) if one could easily rinse off sand before coming in. We felt sad to see such a once-lovely place slowly deteriorating. The nearby crumbling hotel and various buildings in disrepair are very sad to see. Too bad investors in the hotel project were not committed to long-term care of the land and place.

Why they chose this property
My wife and have both lived in Hawaii but missed what we thought of as the old Hawaii. Then we found Molokai! This is truly a great place to get away from it all. There are no stop lights on the island and no structure taller than a coconut palm. Molokai is called the 'Friendly Isle' for good reason as visitors soon find out. We look forward to every visit to Molokai.
