Nestled in the serene forest, this 5BR/4.5BA house offers a quiet retreat with treetop views. Highlights of this beautifully remodeled home include a chef's kitchen, a wraparound deck for alfresco dining, two fireplaces, and a family room for game nights.


LIVING AREA

Unwind in the main living area, complete with a smart TV and a gas fireplace. High ceilings enhance the lodge-like feel, and a large picture window perfectly frames the forest view.

The family room doubles as a game room with a pool table and a four-person game table. Relax on the full-size sleeper sofa and watch movies on the smart TV by the glow of the gas fireplace.

KITCHEN & DINING

Prepare delectable dishes in the chef's kitchen, fitted with gleaming countertops and a full suite of appliances.

Perch at the breakfast bar for one. When meals are served, the dining table seats six.

BED & BATH

Occupying the entire top floor, the primary suite has a queen bed, a TV, and a balcony. The en-suite bathroom has a jetted tub, a walk-in shower, and floor heating.

The second suite has a queen bed and an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower, while the third suite has a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combination.

The fourth and fifth bedrooms each have a queen bed. The adjacent guest bathroom has a walk-in shower.

A half bath adds convenience.

OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES

Light the gas grill and host a cookout on the big wraparound balcony. With seating for 10, your whole group can dine alfresco. A lower deck offers an additional outdoor social space.

Great house

Our family of 11 stayed at this home and we found it to be very spacious and comfortable for all of us. The house had enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all of our needs, but unfortunately, the sofa bed was not usable. Thankfully, the guest services team was quick to respond and provided us with a brand new Queen inflatable mattress on the second night of our stay. One minor issue we encountered was with the auto-timers in the bathroom and shower. They were a bit annoying as we had to keep opening the shower door to turn the light back on. However, it was a minor inconvenience and did not detract from our overall experience. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to prepare meals with ease. The only complaint we had was that all the knives were dull, which made it difficult to cut things properly. The kids in our family had a great time playing in the open space behind the house. It was perfect for sledding and we made a great snow slide. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable and spacious place to stay.

Great Multiple Family Cabin

Getting to the house was a challenge since it was up hill with snowy roads. Make sure to have 4wd or awd. Upon arrival, we had two driveways to park our vehicles. Too bad the garage was unavailable. My EV loss some range over the icy cold nights. Upon walking up the door, I didn't know there would be cameras. Check in was easy with the provided code. The cabin inside was very comfy. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make meals except the stove's buttons were not working properly. Bathrooms were very clean and equipped with powered shampoo and conditioner. The heated flooring was a plus for the upstairs bathroom. Besides the main floor, each room had its own bathroom within the room. There were two balconies that accessible from both floors. Too much snow to utilize the balconies. The bottom floor had a pool and poker table which the kids and adults equally enjoyed. Theres a nice down hill next to the house where we made our own little snow park. Overall we enjoyed our short stay and would stay here again.

Great Stay at Skislope

My family (5 adults, 4 kids) came to stay over the weekend for an easy ski day. The house is well-equipped with lots of pans, dishes, and games. The electronics are easy to use, the furniture and beds quite comfy, and we used the card table downstairs a lot more than we thought we would. It's an easy drive into to Truckee. The layout of the house is really nice. Adults often stayed upstairs to chat, while the kids hung out downstairs. The bedroom layout is also really nice, with pairs of rooms on multiple levels. We also appreciated that most of the beds are the same size, and that most of the bathrooms are en-suite, which meant adults didn't have to fight for the usual primary bedroom or over a room with a million twin beds. The bathrooms were well-stocked with soap. The walkway and both driveways were completely cleared of snow. An added bonus is the lower driveway, which holds two more cars in snow. We would definitely stay here again. My only complaints, and these are just personal preferences, not truly bad things are: -None of the outside doors can remained unlocked and opened without a code or key. That's annoying when getting luggage or kids are going back and forth. - Towels are small hotel grade, not full-body - Shower settings seemed odd. Some sprayed too hard, one pulsed hot and cold, but others were fine. -More dining chairs! This place can sleep 12, but only seat 6 at the dining table. - It would be nice if this home accepted pets, given that the owner has one

Roomy, Needs some improvement

The cabin was spacious, having 5 bathrooms was a plus and the kitchen was stocked with pans, plates and glasses, but it could definitely use some improvement. The code to get into the cabin never worked, after a couple of calls and texts we were able to access a key from a locked box to get in. If that hadn't of been possible we would of had to head home as it sounded like there was no one near by to fix it. Sofa bed was broken and not usable. Bathroom sinks drained very slow. Master bathroom did not have a mirror (not fun for a woman getting ready). There are timers on all of the bathroom lights and after only a couple minutes in the shower, the lights would turn off on all of us! Some of the windows had no screens so in a couple of the bedrooms we were not able to open them at night to get some air- it was HOT with no AC. The corners of the carpet in the dining room were being held down by blue painters tape. It wasn't secured very well and was a bit of a trip hazard. Broken lamp shade in the living room and no sponge to wash dishes. All in all it was just OK, but for for the cost, I expected the cabin to be in much better shape.

Nice house for a family gathering

My family and some extended family stayed here in Dec. Some pros: * good location within Tahoe Donner. Not too deep in. * modern TVs * good wifi coverage * great backyard with a slight hill for home made sled runs * multiple zones of HVAC that worked well * intercom system is cool. Can easily communicate between the floors * heated floors in the top level bedroom was nice Some clarifications that may not be clear from the pictures/descriptions: * main dining table only fits 8 however they provide a square card table and some fold up chairs to accommodate more * three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms! Top level, then two downstairs * the two mid-level bedrooms share a bathroom with the rest of the living space * no access to the garage

Great property for a family vacation - needs some TLC

We had a wonderful stay at this property during the winter! The space was great for a big family, with everyone having their own space. The only piece of feedback is that the property could use some TLC. There were a handful of things that did not work properly or that were in need of repair. Sent these to the property management so hopefully they will be fixed for future guests.

Great location and great property

Wonderful location and property. Close to Tahoe Donner and downtown Truckee. Had a great time there for 5 days. It snowed for the first time in 10 weeks and we got 14 inches of fresh powder when we arrived. Amazing experience for Cali.

Beautiful 5-star accomodation

I think this rental deserves a 5-star redemption review. The place looked wonderful in the pictures, but honestly I was a bit concerned when I read the 1-star review posted weeks before my reservation. I reached out to the Turkey Vacation rental service and they assured me that they have addressed the issue. Now that we completed our stay, I have nothing but praises for this wonderful unit we stayed at Truckee. Cleanliness - this place was in pristine condition when we arrived. We did not have any concern with any areas that were not cleaned. We feel the cleaning crew did a very thorough job making sure all surfaces were cleaned. Kitchen - super well-stocked with all the amenities you need from cook ware to utensils. We enjoyed using the high-end appliances. The outdoor gas BBQ grill was also in great condition. Bathrooms - we had a group of 10 in the house with teenagers and the 4 and ½ bath is truly a great bonus to have. Water pressure was excellent in all the bathrooms and no problem with hot water when many people are taking showers at the same time. I can see this would be of great importance if one goes ski and is looking forward to a hot shower. Bedrooms - 3 out of 5 bedrooms had their own bathroom. They are all very new and updated. We enjoyed the themed decorations in each room. Wifi - great reception in all areas in the house. One of us had to do a conference call for work and it was not a problem at all. We were not able to get cable on the living room TV - not sure if it was available, but we had access to the Smart TV features, so it wasn’t a problem. The deck - I can’t say enough about the beautiful deck that looks out to the woods. I enjoyed my daily morning quiet time on the deck and immerse myself in the woods. It was also a nice place to spot deer families visiting us. Service - the Turkey Vacation representative actually showed up to check on us and made sure the property was in good condition. I am so appreciative of their service. This is a good company for the home owners. Location - within 30min to the most Tahoe attractions. In fact, we did daily activities in the Tahoe area and the drive was short and smooth. In the backyard, Tahoe Donner, it is a hidden gem in itself with numerous hiking trails and water sports. We will need to come back to do more exploration of this beautiful neighborhood. Looking foward to more stays here in the future.

Worst experience we have ever had with a rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the worst experience we have ever had. The property management company did nothing to resolve any of our issues. They made false promises and told us maintenance was coming to fix the different issues and they never showed up even after we called to confirm they assured us and said they will be there in 30 minutes yet nobody came. We stayed there for 4 days and couldn’t even throw out the trash because it was full before we even got there and they wouldn’t request a pickup. I would never recommend booking through turnkey vacation rentals. They should have their license taken away. I was promised somebody would call me and 3 days after returning home am still waiting for a call. Customer service is not a priority to this company!
