Great House, Great Location!
This house is fairly small, but makes the most of every square foot. It is clean and comfortable with lots of eclectic touches. The upper bedrooms and bedroom on the main floor are very nice. The lower two bedrooms are small and functional, no real decor. Loved the wood burning fireplace in the living room and the teens loved the media room downstairs! Location is amazing - one block from Main Street. Easy walk to town lift carrying skis and wearing ski boots.

Great Home
My family and some friends stayed here last winter and we absolutely loved the home. The home has so much character and space, it was very unique compared to other Old Town homes we have stayed in. It was very very clean and well stocked with all amenities and supplies that we needed. The location was awesome with the proximity to Main Street as well as the Town Lift. The kids loved the theater room, and the adults loved the main floor with different sitting areas. Each bedroom was a good size and each had their own bathroom. Everyone truly enjoyed this home, we will be back- thank you!

Wow!
Wow! A rare swirl of antique mining home and every holiday comfort. Rare is the design team that can find and lift the spirit of an old home while building for a family's modern experience.
After 20 years of renting on the road to Deer Valley, we wanted to experience a house in town, ideally one with history and style. We wanted historic outside, but solid (structurally) and light (aesthetically) inside. While we love to ski Deer Valley, we do not long to sleep with logs and antlers. The Blue House was/is our answer. Also unique is the perfect 5 bedroom + 5 bath layout -- extremely hard to find in Old Town, let alone on the single best block in Old Town. (Other guests have noted with great detail many of the fine features of this home. We concur.) Enjoy it!

Beautiful Home, Great Location
Our family (6 adults, 2 toddlers) stayed in the Blue House over Christmas and New Years. We had an absolutely lovely stay. The house is in the most perfect location - one block behind the best part of Main Street, two blocks from the ski shuttles, easy walk to the bus/shuttle hub. Although houses are close together, the house is designed for maximum natural light as well as maximum privacy. Also, despite being lower, there is a nice view of the surrounding mountains from living room and dining room.
Some things we loved: 1.) radiant floor heating - kept us warm without all the dry air and noise. (They also have a built-in humidifier). Although the home design is modern and clean, the radiant heating is cozy. Your feet will never be cold. 2.) Well-equipped kitchen. Extremely well organized, and even has all the basics - paper products, baggies, flour, sugar, tupperware, travel mugs, etc. 3.) Hot Tub! 4.) Good use of space. Although the house is not large, the natural light and excellent design maximized every corner. Especially appreciated was the large laundry room. We used all five bedrooms and bathrooms and everyone was very comfortable. 5.) Amenities. The owners stocked all the bathrooms with essentials - great for the person that inevitably forgets something. Nice bedding, towels and bathrobes as well. 6.) Pack-n-play. So nice to have when traveling with little ones. 7.) Garage/boot warmers. Great for getting the gear on/off. We parked in the driveway so had lots of room for gear. 8.) Welcoming and kind owners. They were there to greet us and show us around and were available if we needed anything (but because everything in the home is in good working order, we never had to call!).
We would stay here again and hope to return. We recommend this property to families, groups, couples. Another recommendation: Black Tie Ski Rentals. Delivered and picked up skis/boots/helmets right to the door at an appointed time. We didn't even have to leave the house and the cost is comparable.

Absolutely perfect for our white Christmas!
Once our family had decided on Park City to spend 10 days over the Dec holiday break, we wanted to find something that 1) accommodated extended family (total of 8 adults and 2 toddler), 2) was 4/5 star in terms of comfort and amenities, 3) was close to Main Street for the non-skiiers, and 4) close enough to the local lift for the skiiers/boarders.
Thankfully, we found this house. Not only does it meet all of the criteria above, but it does so in real style! The "scandanavian modern" decor is exceptionally done, and everyone couldn't get over just how well it was designed and furnished. The living spaces are numerous, allowing for different people to spread out, and the 5 bd/5ba was enough to keep everyone comfortable. We loved using the "screening room" downstairs, and I can't say enough about how great it was having a heated garage to take off boots/gear. We also had internet access, as well as a custom surround sound system that can play off their iPod (great playlist btw!) or yours. Oh, almost forgot the hot tub in the backyard. I honestly can't think of another thing that we needed during our stay.
To top it off, John the owner was great to coordinate with. We had arranged for a service to come and set up a Christmas tree ahead of our arrival, and John made sure it went smoothly.
We hope to come back again soon!

Definitely modern and wired -- and as good, if not better than than billed!
Just returned from a wonderful holiday week in the "blue house"! We are two families who shared it for a ski holiday. The listing is accurate and the place is beautiful, wonderfully designed and exquisitely clean. The location is superb for town lift to ski area or to walk to town to browse. As well, it is around the corner from a Banksy original, for art lovers. There are many restaurants within walking distance, but we ate in and the kitchen was high end and well supplied, only missing a plug-in tea kettle (for tea lovers!). The theater room was a huge hit with our teenagers after skiing, as was the jacuzzi. The laundry room is as beautiful as the rest of the house! A 5 star hotel couldn't compete with this blue house! Thank you for sharing it and giving us a memorable holiday.
About the host
Hosted by John & Barbara
The owners moved to Park City from New York back in 1991 and have never looked back. The cliche is really true: People might move to ski towns for the snow but they stay for the summers. As designers they've restored a number of park City's historic homes and fitted them with entirely new, modern interiors. This one is the largest, and is their home during the off-seasons.
Why they chose this property
There's no better western powder than the Wasatch range, and no better place to stay than Park City. There's a communal back yard that gives a little more elbow room than most Old Town properties, while providing privacy too. We hope you enjoy your time in Park City, and if you like modern, urban spaces then we think you'll love this restored home!
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location. No matter how busy Main Street gets, we're still amazed by how quiet this house and backyard remains, and yet we're literally less than five minutes to the Town Lift and Main Street's many great restaurants and bars. And once you've arrived in Park City, the free & frequent bus system means you don't have to keep a car and fight for parking, if you don't want to.
