Very tastefully renovated/updated cabin. The renovation maintained the cabins historic interior. A new two-story addition supports a bedroom on each floor. The second floor 'master suite' is spacious and cozy. There is a nice exterior balcony off the suite. The exterior cabin and two-story addition are seamlessly blended together for a unique look. the property has a beautiful patio area and grills. I'd recommend this property and would stay here again.
We enjoyed the whole experience ~ the park & the proximity of our little hideaway to it. When we drove up, I envied the huge A-frame across the street, but once we settled in, it was really everything we needed. We would recommend it to those who, like us, don't shell out BIG $$ for a place to shower, sleep, & cook a few meals. Thanks for the memories. Susy
Close enough to access everything in the area but far enough away for privacy and solitude. Very clean, soft sheets, towels that smell wonderful, firm bed. Everything in it's place and in good working order. Would love to come back in winter.
The property was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was well stocked with high quality dishes, pots and pans, etc. The upstairs suite was spacious, with a lovely balcony and a good shower. Very quiet rural neighborhood. Good value.
Quiet and clean. Fireplace was cozy. Beds were ok. No window coverings upstairs made showering tricky. People next door In Two directions could see everything. WiFi was non existent and would not run tv for relaxing ending to the day. No cell service either. Verizon or AT&T. If you want your kids back and out of the phone this is the place for you. Bring some board games.

Cozy Stay
House was nice and cozy
Unfortunately, outside needed yard work and gas for fire pit. Other than that, everything else was nice
Property was great, nicely remodeled, and clean. Not a lot of frills but that was okay with us because we were always on the go. The only issue was no window coverings in the upstairs bedroom that brought in lots of light. There was no sleeping late or it was hard to take an afternoon nap, otherwise everything was great.

Nice place except mouse issue
This home could have been nice. But we had several mice. Owner brought ‘sticky mat’ traps.
We found traps moved to behind fridge, and no mouse in the morning. Not very effective. Owner told us it was the cool season. Difficult to communicate with owner or VRBO due to not having internet in home (which we knew) VRBO was less than helpful, during our stay or afterward. They wanted proof/ pictures of the mouse. We booked this home in April, before other renters had mouse issues. Reviews before summer were great. So dissatisfied. Also had to ask for dish towels and dish cloths. The microwave is VERY high. Seriously you have to be at least 6 foot to use it, and dangerous because you can’t see, hot food could certainly spill.
Small and cozy. Was a pleasant stay. Property manager is responsive and the complimentary pastries was a nice touch. The home was clean, but could use new carpet downstairs.
Mona rescheduled our booking to meet our schedule change. The cabin has a great location, only 12 minutes driving to west yellowstone and west entry of yellowstone park. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Kitchen is well equipped.
Addition of humidifiers will be a plus.
Mona was kind and very helpful. Loved her place and the idea of being somewhat remote from town. Beautiful surroundings. Very clean and newly remodeled property. She accommodated us to our liking. We stayed 7 days, and would have liked to be able to wash our clothing as we hiked and swam in the water at Yellowstone daily. No washer or dryer was provided. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was extremely weak and unfortunately despite the nice flat screen TV's provided, could not be used due to weak connections. As pgone connections are quite poor, having Wi-Fi with stronger signal would have been a plus. All-in-all we would go back if we get a chance to stay here.

The way West
Overall ok stay, internet is intermittent couldn't watch evening tv, thought it had washer and dryer but didn't, upstairs bedroom suite was very nice, except no window treatments made sleeping difficult. So many windows with no coverage, was hard to sleep until very late, then early morning wake up light. We had a wonderful time in the area, park, museums and all things to do.
RODENT INFESTED! DO NOT STAY HERE! We were moved and refunded by VRBO
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE! There were live mice in the kitchen and living area. There was a dead splattered rodent under the fridge, with blood and guts spilled all over. There was large accumulations of rodent feces in the cabinets and shelves in the kitchen, in corners, and under furniture. Rodent brought seed under guest room bed covers. We saw the live mouse run across the pots and pans in the cabinet. Host did not apologize for the event and offered no type of refund and was dismissive of the issue. VRBO moved us to a hotel and provided us a refund, confirming the complete disgustingness of the property. Rude host and property is infested with live and dead rodents laying feces all over the place. This is the worst vacation rental experience I’ve ever had or personally heard about. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK THIS PLACE.
Very cute cabin, great for one or two couples. Short drive to W. Yellowstone and away from the tourist bustle.

Nice but……
There was zero communication from the property manager until the day we arrived. And then they apparently didn’t realize we were checking in that day because the msg indicated we would get the code the following day! There was no fire pit as stated in the post. And we saw 3 mice in the living room. I get its in the woods but get an exterminator regularly! Also not enough towels (1 bath, 1 hand, & 1 wash cloth for each person) & no tissues or dish soap.
Great location outside of town that allowed us to get away from the crowds. Thoughtful touches from the owner like fresh flowers and pastries were an unexpected treat! Lots of windows upstairs provided great views and natural lighting...the only down side was the inability to block that light when we were sleeping. Otherwise, a very comfortable retreat.
This is a excellent place to stay located very close to all the natural wonders in the area.
This property has everything that you would need for a great stay in the West Yellowstone area.
