Our family lodge has been an annual getaway vacation spot for gathering with friends and family to relax, go horseback riding in the nearby state park, boat around on Brantingham Lake, and to gather by the campfire to tell stories. It is quiet, peaceful and serene; often inviting local wildlife such as the deer to come up to the scenic back windows early in the morning while you rest your feet just on the other side. The lodge is suited to accommodate large gatherings with 9 bedrooms and 15 beds. It has been common to have over 30 people staying comfortably all at the same time. The Lodge has plenty of other activities available, including ATV trails nearby, access to various rivers and creeks for kayaking or canoeing and even a local favorite swimming hole on Otter creek with natural rock slides that we have enjoyed over the years.

We love staying at this property. It's perfectly sized and located for our annual ATV trip! Thank you for letting us stay at your property. We look forward to next year!
Our stay was just what we hoped for!! Plenty of room for our large family. Loved the quiet secluded backyard. We lost power one night, Because of the weather. Owner checked in on us making sure we didn’t have any issues. Owner also was very accommodating letting us in a little early. We had everything we needed for a weeks long stay. Will be back.
We wanted a place in the Adirondacks for a Family Reunion for about 25 people. This cabin fit the bill and was conveniently located for all. Ken was very responsive to a multitude of questions prior to our arrival. The only small issue we had was with the bathroom situation. Two of the three bathrooms were nestled inside bedrooms with no access from the hallway. Once those people went to bed, we were down to one bathroom for the other 20 people.

Frustrating
We stayed for 3 night with 20 guests. Everything was great when we got there as check-in was easy. The first night we had no hot water starting around 10 pm. I wasn't aware until the next morning because my mother tried to shower and couldn't. I contacted Dan once I knew around 10 am and was unable to reach him until 6 pm. All the numbers in the house log book were wrong and the property maintenance individual said that the property owner changed companies. He finally sent a electrician over and fixed it around 7:30 pm The reasoning was a fried wire which he showed to my mom. Everyone showered and around 9 or 10 pm the power went out. The house didn't have a back up generator so we sat in the dark for sometime. The power didn't come back on until 6am. I am aware that these things happen but when I contacted the owner again. He told me that the house was his parents and that he was unsure what was going on. I had to pry to get him to check with national grid. We didn't know if it was something else with the house or if it was a true power outage. We didn't have much phone service and the door keypads wouldn't work. The owner also told me that the property is his parents and didn't really seem like he knew how to handle the situations that arose. The next morning we were again without any water as Dan forgot to mentioned that the water had to be reset after the power outage. He contacted his father, gave us the code to the room that the water system was in and we fixed it. We r
This property worked great for out family gathering of 16 people. Lots of bedrooms and wonderful open kitchen, dining, living room. We also enjoyed using the open outdoor fire pit. Communication with the property manager was awesome as we needed a last minute (like day before check-in) rental and they worked with us to make it happen. Otter Creek down the road from the property was by far the families favorite excursion several of the days during our stay.

Why they chose this property
The Lodge hides itself nicely in the pines of the Adirondack Mountain, where you are more likely to have deer spying on you through the windows in the morning than a slew of folks passing by. We chose this location because of its excellent location as it connects directly to the Otter Creek State Horse Park that we visited yearly. It also allowed access to ATV trails and is in the middle of Snowmobile country for those who preferred riding with a little more horsepower. While being nestled away in the mountains The Lodge is still conveniently located to a nearby town to go grab supplies and usually a mandatory Ice Cream stop at the local shoppe. It also is not a long drive off to Old Forge for some antiquing and a water park for a day outing. However, most memories are formed right at home, gathering together for a large breakfast or dinner or sitting around the campfire at night. It is wonderful in today's culture to have that simplicity of a fire while we tell stories, catch-up with friends and family.
What makes this property unique
The Lodge can obviously accommodate very large groups and the design of the space with a massive 1,000 sq ft 'Great Room' helps to make it feel comfortable and not over-crowded. As previously mentioned, The Lodge connects to the Otter Creek State Horse Park, which has over 100 miles of maintained trails for riding. Brantingham Lake is just around the corner for boating enthusiasts. There is also a drive-in movie theater 10 minutes away for those looking to go back in time and experience some nostalgia while seeing a double feature.
