Property was as described and then some. When we arrived snacks and wine were waiting. Kitchen lacks for nothing. Plenty of space in bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Wrap around deck was outstanding with a table to eat outside after cooking on a fully equipped Blackstone grill. Had one question, host responded very quickly. Murphy is a quaint mountain town with a river walk, downtown and local shops. Plenty of hiking nearby. Love our time at this cabin.
We had a wonderful time staying at the 5 acre Cabin, Myself along with my wife and daughter and our two dogs had plenty of room. The cabin was clean and has a very charming decor. The hosts Zoe and Eric had some thoughtful extras for us upon our arrival one of which was a dozen delicious farm fresh eggs from their chickens. Our dogs and us really enjoyed the daily hikes on the private trail down to the lake as well as a couple of hikes on downtown Murphy’s River Walk.. The griddle was used often for cooking meals and the wrap around porches and deck provided a relaxing atmosphere. The cabin is mere minutes from down town Murphy but feels much further away. There are so many things to do in the surrounding area you will have no problem finding something interesting to enjoy. The only cautionary thing to mention is that this is a typical mountain side retreat with a narrow drive and parking, bigger vehicles could potentially have an issue turning around, I have a full size truck and my daughter has a mid size car, and while she was parked there I had to back in or out of the lane to park or leave, but after she left it was tight but I could turn around in the driveway. All in all it is a wonderful property and we look forward to hopefully staying at this cabin again on a future trip to the Murphy area.

What a wonderful mountain getaway and secluded Murphy North Carolina
We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend with the dogs watching nature and the leaves change. We even took a hike to see the lake/ River located right off the property. It was a very rejuvenating stay and would absolutely stay there again!
We spent our Thanksgiving in Murphy and this cabin is rated an 11 out of a 1 to 10! The cabin was decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful and cozy and SOOOOO CLEAN!!! The hosts was wonderful too. If you're contemplating renting this cabin, stop it! Book it!!! You will not be disappointed!
We were looking to relax, enjoy nature and be removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and this cabin provided all those requirements and much more. The hosts were extremely thoughtful leaving us a bottle of wine, fresh eggs (so delicious!) and more. Check in and communication with the hosts was perfect. We loved the walk to the lake and the views when we got to it. The cabin's location made it easy to travel to local orchards and breweries. We certainly would love to come back and bring some family members with us.
This was an amazing place to stay. Very clean, had everything you needed plus more. The Hosts were amazing and we will be returning when we just need to relax. Our dogs enjoyed lounging on the wrap-around patio and loved taking the short walk to the lake.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin in the woods. the walk to the lake was enjoyable and we even saw a pair of bald eagles soaring above the water. Lovely, quiet place. Very dog friendly. The hosts thought of everything! It's a really great place. We would stay here again.
We enjoyed our week stay in the mountains, This cabin was furnished with everything we needed for our stay plus more! The hosts added details that just made it more special. The views were awesome and the trail down to the lake was well marked and enjoyed by us and our 2 dogs daily! It was relaxing to sit out on the deck and listen to nature! The directions were throrough and the place was easy to find! It was a challenge getting our bigger truck into the parking area but was manageable.
We found lots of hiking trails in the area to enjoy.
We had such a nice time. This was our second time staying here. This time we were able to see the fall colors beginning to show. We enjoyed a morning of adventure down by the lake and saw a Bald Eagle flying. It was so neat to see. We visited the Nottely River Valley Vineyards, went on a trail ride with Chunky Gal Stables and enjoyed a nice walk along the Murphy River Walk. We really enjoyed porch sitting, watching the birds doing their thing and grilling each night for dinner. Eric and Zoe are wonderful hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their cabin is so cozy, and we always feel at home when we visit. Can’t wait to return!
The hosts, Eric and Zoe, were amazing. To arrive to fresh eggs and a bottle of wine was an amazing surprise. The home was everything we needed - a cozy and welcoming home with access to a nature trail and lake.
If anybody is looking for the perfect place to hace family time, get away to the woods and have tons of fun, don't think twice, here is your place!
The property was simply amazing. Everything you possibly need is available and the hosts were great!
This is clearly the nicest pet friendly cabin we’ve stayed at.
Everything clean as a button, fully stocked with everything you could imagine. Great location. Very responsive hosts. We’ll be back…
We loved the cabin. The hosts really go out of their way to make you comfortable. They really hooked it up with extra goodies too. The cabin was clean. We loved the location and loved walking through the woods with our dogs to the lake bank and letting them play there. Also, we loved that it was centrally located between Chattanooga, Asheville, Greenville, and Blue Ridge. Great place!
The cabin was beautiful, and had many personal touches that made our state remarkable
