We loved our stay in this cozy clean cabin. I loved sitting on the porch looking at the beautiful lake. The location is perfect for what we wanted to do. And so close to the border if you plan on going. The hosts were great and answered my questions with kindness ( even a couple photos). And made sure we were comfortable and had anything we needed. Would like to stay again.
Cabin was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Comfortably large enough for two to four people. The view was incredible. The hosts were communicative and friendly and very hospitable. Would stay again.
We had such a great stay and wish we lived closer to know we could get back again soon! The lake was right out your door and great for paddle boarding. The unit is small but was really perfect for two people. Things I care about when I read reviews to highlight: great communication with owners, clean unit, comfy bed, thoughtful design of small space that made it feel bigger and included Keurig, mini fridge, and nice living room space.
Definitely lake life here with direct access to the water for paddling. Easy drive to Mt. Baker, Picture Lake and Nooksak Falls. Quiet, friendly and with everything we needed. Hostess’s were very friendly and asked daily if there was anything we needed.
Would return!
This was a perfect size and so cute. We loved the view and how quiet and peaceful it was. So many hiking trails nearby and such a beautiful area. Hosts were amazing.
I went here with my wife for a 3 day weekend to explore Mount Baker area. The place was very clean, easy to check in and had everything we needed. Very enjoyable and I recommend.
Really enjoyed the lake though it rained the whole time we were there. It was serene and peaceful. The guest house is attached to the owners home but had our own parking area and no problem with being attached. Hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. Would certainly stay again. Would probably bring a kayak or something so we could actually get on the lake. The guesthouse was very clean and cozy. It was good.
My girlfriend decided to book this cabin on a whim for new years and it was the best decision we could’ve made! Erik and Amber were awesome hosts. The cabin is located on the north side of Silverlake on its own plot of land. You have a beautiful view of the lake right in your front yard and great walking trails near the park. You are also conveniently located near Mt. Baker which has tons of outdoor activities to fill your time. Erik was even kind enough to give us some local tips in the area. The space itself is clean, and has all the amenities you need for a mountain getaway including coffee, beach towels and even a full kitchen! You won’t find better value in the area than this cabin. The location is literally perfect and I will definitely be returning. If you’re considering booking this cabin, run.. don’t walk!
We enjoyed our stay in the lake cabin at Maple Falls.
We skied one day at Mt. Baker but couldn't continue due to rain and warmer temperatures. So instead we hiked along Nooksack River and took a day trip to Vancouver.
The cabin was an excellent base for our trip
Perfect landing spot after a day hiking the Heather Meadows area
I stayed here for two nights over Labor Day weekend with my husband and 3-year-old. We returned after a morning of hiking the Heather Meadows area, then on the second day we visited Horseshoe Bend trail and Silver Lake Park. The cabin is small, cozy spot, but space is used so efficiently that it never felt cramped. We brought my son’s wooden train tracks, and there was space for him to play while we made dinner. The internet worked great during our visit; we were able to stream Cars on a rainy afternoon. Lovely spot and extremely accommodating and generous hosts. Would stay here again!
The property was very well prepared for guests and the property owners were in great communication. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and it was a great location to head up local trails without any issues. It was nice having a good bed and nice shower after longer hikes. I have several chronic health issues so camping wasn't really an option for me, but this allowed me to still allow out and experience nature without putting myself at any risk or harm's way. I really enjoyed my stay and the property owners were very sweet and left me a happy birthday message as I had mentioned in my text that I was coming out for my birthday.
The property is perfect and situated right at Silver Lake. The cabin is just the right size, with comfy furniture, beds with all the amenities we needed. We will be making this our #1 go to for some time away.
Wow … the lake front scenery is beautiful, peaceful and quiet.
The cabin is cozy and very comfortable … and spotless.
And sitting on the front porch in the morning was great … we couldn’t have asked for more.
We met the owner Erik … he was great … making sure our stay was comfortable.
It doesn’t get any better …
We stayed for two nights and had a lovely, relaxing stay. The TV is old and blurry, so bring some books or ipad. It is very quiet and peaceful, and the hosts leave you alone. We would stay here again for sure.
Stayed here with my son and brother-in law for some April skiing at Mt. Baker. The cabin is about 40 minutes from the ski area and located in a very scenic and quiet location on Silver Lake. The cabin is attached to the hosts home, but it feels private and is well-stocked with basic necessities. The hosts were very communicative, friendly and accommodating. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. This is a small cabin but I think it would be ideally suited for two parents with two kids, especially for summer lake activities. The lake looks ideal for paddling and fishing and is easily accessible from the cabin. While the skiing conditions were not great (rain and low visibility), we hope to return next year, earlier in the season, to take another shot at Mt Baker.
Cozy lake side cabin right at the base of Mt. Baker!
Our overall experience was amazing! Erik and his family are perfect hosts. Super accommodating without hovering. There was a perfect amount of space for two adults and two children. And if your thing is boating or fishing? Perfect place to stay! The cul-de-sac adjacent to the cabin is a boat ramp. If you kayak, boat, etc. This is the perfect place for you!

We are from Texas and came to Mt. Baker to avoid the chairlift lines and, honestly the thousands of other Texans who flock to Colorado each December. This was the perfect getaway location. We really enjoyed our time here.
The place was ideal for a weekend ski trip with my son and my daughter's partner. Erik was very helpful and had great insights about Mount Baker and the surrounding towns. I would definitely stay here again.
