Loved the porch! Beds were comfortable, didn’t use kitchen much but washing bottles and refrigerator. There was enough seating in living room and dining room. Ample parking in driveway. Hosts were extremely responsive to our questions and needs.
Home very well stocked . Spacious and lovely. Everyone was comfortable throughout our stay.
It would be perfect if closer to main part of Detroit Lakes but it was a short drive to everything.
We basically loved it.
Checked in on a Saturday, called the office to confirm some payment confusion 2x and did not receive a call back although everything ended up fine. The house was as described and worked well for us. Older home with some updates. Being an older home windows were hard to open, front door knob fell off (we just put back on), ceiling fans were noisy and looked/sounded like they were going to fall down when running. Overall was a great place to stay and we had everything we needed.
Nice house built in 1925. My wife and I are actually from Detroit Lakes and know the town and neighborhood. We enjoyed the house and our stay.
The non-copper pans do not work with the stove top-gives an error, took us a bit to figure that out, but the manual was there.
(Please share with the property Manager they have bats living where the chimney meets the 2nd floor. Didn’t affect our stay, but wanted to let him know. He is free to call me if he would like.)
The house was perfect for me and my family. It was clean, nicely done, the front porch swing was amazing.
My only recommendation is to get new beds or to make sure the beds fit in the bed frame. We felt like we were sleeping with our head on the floor and our feet straight up in the air. The mattress didn’t fit in the bed frame so it kept sinking. The mattress foam pads were too small for the beds so it was lumpy while sleeping making it difficult to be comfortable. Other then the beds you guys have an amazing property! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to my family we really enjoyed it!
