Surfside Retreat Unit A - Oceanfront Triplex

Feel all the stress disappear as you cross the beautiful Usina Bridge entering Vilano Beach and get your first glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean. It is breathtaking. You are only five minutes from historic downtown St. Augustine and just a few steps from the beach. Come and enjoy your time on the Island, the ocean breezes and a sunrise like no other. Many activities, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing adventures are nearby.


We give guests space but we're never far away should there be any questions or concerns. Call, email or message us at anytime and we'll be happy to help.


Located directly oceanfront in the heart of Vilano Beach!


Guests will have access to the north side of the downstairs of the home. Each unit has it's own separate deck space but the boardwalk to the beach is shared by all units.

The parking area is shared by all units. Unit A is allowed two vehicles max.


Please note: The home is split into three separate units.

This listing is for Unit A (downstairs, north side of home). Inquire for more details and availability if interested in renting more than one unit.

Unit B is located downstairs on the south side, unit C is the entire upstairs.


Pet Policy: One dog is welcome for a non-refundable fee of $150.

Cancellation Policy (does not apply to Airbnb bookings): If Guest cancels the reservation more than thirty (30) days before the Arrival Date, Guest will be refunded 95% of any payments made. If Guest cancels the reservation less than thirty (30) days before the Arrival Date, any payments made by Guest will be forfeited. No refunds will be given once final payment has been made. It is advised that Guest purchase Vacation Insurance through a third-party provider.

Love the place. Hope to return in the future. Thank you for being responsive to my requests over our stay. I would suggest buying a square nosed shovel and keep it in the laundry area so renters can keep up with the sand drifts on the walkway. It's very rare that rental building's are so well maintained. Thank you for a great job.

Summer vacation 2024

We had an amazing time! We were so grateful to find a cute place on the beach that was pet friendly and affordable. We usually, have yo stay somewhere not so nice because we have a pet, but not ths time!! Our souls and bodies were truly refreshed after our time on Vilano Beach. We come back to St. Augustin every year and we would definitely stay at this beach house again.

Great location for a weekend getaway!

Great view of the ocean. Easy walk to the beach since the broad walk is literally in your backyard. It was big enough since it was just my husband and I. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable (which is hard to find a lot of the times) We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Perfect Get Away

Vilano Beach is a great little spot to get away for a few days, close to many historical sites and tourist attractions but still with a secluded feel. The home is a good size for a small family. It is well maintained with a fully equipped kitchen for those who want to cook their meals. We enjoyed dinner and the sunset on the river at Aunt Kate's one night and sunrise from the house the next morning. The ocean views from the living room and front deck are amazing! Perfect get away location.

Fabulous Surfside Retreat

Surfside Retreat was the perfect beach house. Incredibly clean. Very roomy and had everything needed for the stay. Although it was a triplex, it was quiet and private. Our perfect get away. Only thing wrong with our stay was that it was too short! Going back in November. Simply awesome stay.

Great location on the beach

The location was very easy to find, close to everything. Great for our 2 dogs with a small fenced yard on the side of the house and a patio we were able to secure so they couldn’t get out. The beach was clean and just steps away. The house was just as expected. Very nice and easily accessible. Would definitely stay there again.

If I could give it 6 stars I would. First beach stay that met all my expectations. The triplex was in perfect condition. It is clear it has been updated and kept up. The location is second to none. All of the amenities included. Can't wait to book my next stay as well as the top unit for my entire family to come.

Perfect beach getaway!

The location and private walkway to the beach during the entire day was so amazing. So close to Publix. The beach wasn't really crowded at all, very peaceful and respectful. The house itself was very clean, accommodating, private for the most part. Minor things like the showerhead, door locks, appliance lights were a little frustrating but fixable. The hosts were very responsive, offered us suggestions prior to checking in to make our trip adventurous, and it was a very pleasant stay all together! Would highly recommend to anybody wanting to stay on the beach amd not have to drive somewhere with hard to park areas!!! Thank you so much for our stay!

Great Location in Vilano Beach

We loved being on the beach. Great location and close to town and also St Augustine. The property was very clean. The manager Amy was very responsive when I requested more towels. The only issue was that the water had a strong sulfur smell which required us to use lots of bottled water when cooking and showering. This issue was resolved after our stay. We would stay here again.

Roomy and clean. Had a couple minor glitches, Landlord responded immediately. Easy drive to downtown St Augustine. Beautiful beach location - only drawback is Vilano beach calls out leash laws for dogs but they don't seem to be enforced.

Simply Superb!

Wow, this is a great stay! The unit is in a great location. You can literally walk to Publix via the beach and restock with very little effort. That is always a plus for our family when look for rental accommodations. No hotels beside the unit or close by, so traffic is not a problem. Need a restaurant close by? They have that piece covered as well. The Reef is most excellent and Kate’s is also great! Downtown St Augustine is just a hop, skip and jump away. The shoreline is so close you can literally reach out and touch it! We’ve stayed in other beach rentals that are on the “beach”, but you still have to a very deep shoreline that makes the daily setup a chore, but not this unit! We rent at least 2-3 beach rentals each year throughout the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic and this unit and location has now become one of our top beach destinations!

December celebration for a Birthday and Anniversary.

Loved the location and access to the beach. Great communication. Loved all the advise and suggestions given. Need to update access for a grill with the unit A. The grill did not work at all and it was grossly covered in mold. Great to have private access to the unit and patio area along with beach towels. Will return!

Great vacation!

This is one of our favorite beach vacation spots! The small fenced in area for the dog is really convenient, very dog friend beach, everyone we met was nice and dogs were well behaved. This place was clean and is good condition. The bathroom sink water does smell a little like sulfur, but I grew up in Florida and that’s kind of normal. They have filtered water bottle in the fridge, and we bought some bottles of water as well. The washer and dryer are really nice to have. We had dry towels and bathing suits everyday. Shower right outside to rinse off your feet and beach gear! Over all I loved it and can’t wait to go back!
