This was our third time staying at this property. It's accessible to everything in Lambertville/New Hope by foot, and is uniquely situated right on the canal. It's quiet and private, yet right in town. The stairs to the second floor are narrow (the house old historic but well maintained) and may pose an issue for some. There are handrails, though.
The day before I was to meet up with my sister to visit our family and friends in the area, we booked this wonderful place. Holiday travel can be hectic, but our experience while renting this property couldn't have been better. Our first morning waking up here, we were drawn out on a walk on the towpath and were instantly relaxed. The house was comfortable and accommodating. We loved the artwork and little touches that made it so welcoming! We used it as a home base for our visits to family members in the area. The location allowed us to be close to family and in a beautiful place: We walked and enjoyed the sweet town in the mornings and then did our visits in the afternoons. The trip to and from the Phila airport was really simple. It's a great place. We want to stay here again!
My mom and I stayed for a weekend, and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a perfect location and is only a short walk to shops and restaurants in Lambertville and New Hope. The tow path makes it very convenient to walk everywhere and we enjoyed seeing all the ducks in the canal. The house was very clean. We had a little bit of trouble figuring out the heating in the living room, but Eliot was super quick to respond to our questions and even came out to look at it himself. I would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at 64 Canal St. for a couple of nights on our way to Williamsburg. The house is lovely, lots of character, very clean, well equipped for a weekend visit, fun to be on the canal path, quiet neighborhood. The location is great - easy walk into town and across the river to New Hope. Plenty of things to do in the area. Good communication with the host as needed. Definitely recommend.
Lovely historic property right along the canal path. Outstanding jumping off point for bike rides and runs and walks, as well as for walking to restaurants and art galleries. It is worth noting that if there are more than two people staying, there is an extra charge and I had not realized that initially when booking but going back and looking at the details, it does mention that for $60 a day per extra person above two people..
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the canal house. The only caveat we have is that the staircase to the bedrooms is steep and narrow. If you have mobility issues, you might want to reconsider. However, that said, it was a lovely little, well furnished, clean, and quiet venue even though it was next to the Towpath, which has a number of walkers and cyclists. The location is an easy walk into Lambertville and New Hope, which my wife did a couple of times.
We had a very short stay (2 nights), but plan on coming back! 64 Canal St. is stunning in it's character and unique interior design. The location was quiet and ideal for getting around on foot, whether it be downtown Lambertville or New Hope, PA across the river. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back.
Loved this property. It’s the perfect location with a beautiful short nature walk away from Lambertville shops and restaurants. This was our first time staying here and hopefully the first of many.
Enjoying the local charm and history of the area, especially Washington’s Crossing🇺🇸
I loved the location, and historical charm. The stairs were a bit treacherous, but we were careful and everything worked out. I’m happy we found your place on a trip that originated in Williamsburg and ended in NY.
My long weekend stay on Canal Road was a terrific addition to a busy weekend full of visiting friends. It was the perfect spot to base my time in Lambertville. I walked everywhere and the house was comfortable and had all the necessities to make my trip even more pleasant and fun
Perfect spot to relax for a few days. With the tow path and downtown areas of Lambertville and New Hope easily accessible by foot, this house is ideally situated for an easy getaway. We enjoyed staying in a house with a kitchen as opposed to an inn. The pots and pans and other utensils are nice. The backyard and second story deck are cozy outdoor spaces that made staying in fun, too! We like super firm beds, and would have preferred a firmer one, but if you don't like your bed super firm, you'll love theirs.
Location, location, location!
This was a great place directly in the canal trail; tranquil, clean and had everything we needed. Walk along the beautiful trail and you're quickly in Lambertsville and steps from the bridge to New Hope. I plan to return next summer with my bike. Wonderful experience, clean, cozy beautiful home and a fantastic host.
Beautiful location and fabulous home from home accommodation, highly recommend. Myself and daughter thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when visiting the area again. Host was always quick to respond to any questions I had. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful property
Our stay was fantastic. Place is clean and a perfect location. Steps away from restaurants and stores. Nights are quite for the rest needed after the walks and bike riding. Take in all the different species of birds and butterfly's that adorn all the beautiful plants and flower along the path. Will stay again.
We had a great stay. There’s a path along the canal that we took walks on, and some restaurants and coffee shops are walkable. There is a really great playground walking distance to the house. We took our two-year-old to the nearby children’s museum and train ride as well (those were short drives). The house was a perfect set up for us, the stairs were just very steep so we had to make sure we were carefully watching the toddler at all times.
My husband and i have stayed here before, and each time is perfect. Great location, lovely neighbors, and clean and home like. We look forward to staying with them again.
We had a great time staying on the NJ Delaware Canal Path in Lambertville, NJ. The house was as advertised and had everything that we needed. We would definitely stay here again. It was very comfortable and conveniently located for exploring Lambertville NJ, New Hope PA and Doylestown PA.
The location of the house on the canal is very peaceful and only a 5-minute walk into downtown. The A/C units in each room are very good. The only thing to know about the property is that the staircase leading to the 2nd floor bedrooms is steep, a little narrow, and curved at the top, so this could pose a challenge for elderly people to easily navigate. Other than that I was happy with the unit.
We had a great time in this lovely house situated right on the canal. The back garden and deck were private and picturesque, the house was immaculate and beds comfortable. The upstairs screened in porch was a perfect space to hang out in the morning. I hope to stay there again.
This was our second stay at 64 Canal, and we loved it! The location is peaceful and away from the Bridge Street hubbub. The house overlooks the towpath and the canal, where the only sounds are the birds, some ducks and geese, and the wind in the trees. Perfect! We'll be back!!
Stayed to help celebrate with friends and family in New Hope. Very close to many great shops and it even snowed during our visit. House was very comfortable.
