The cabin was dusty, the Keurig had molded grounds of coffee in the bottom and hadn’t been properly cleaned. The Wi-Fi didn’t work the entire time. The TV’s are connected to Frontier Wi-Fi. We couldn’t watch the news, not to mention my Pacemaker was not monitored
Property as advertised beautiful decor, hot tub worked great...an no traffic sounds. Secluded enough for privacy but close to town. Great for two people.
Place was nice and clean. Good communication. First place I’ve stayed that if location was empty they still had you wait to check in. Overall great little get away. Would stay here again
When you step into Bear-Leigh Made It, you’ll understand the title! The Bear theme is abundant, even though we didn’t get to see any real bears over our three night stay. The cabin is in great shape, with all of the amenities my wife and I needed—wifi worked well most times, but sometime videos buffered. There is one cabin in eyesight below, but there is total privacy due to the terrain. The hot tub was a nice perk.
We had never been to Bryson City, but it was a short drive and was very charming. Lots to do there and of course the Mountains are everywhere along with the park just to the north.
Note that thecabin is towards the top of a very tight and steep road, so make sure you are prepared for that. I imagine it would be tough if there is any snow or ice. Also, if you have a low to the ground car, you might want to be careful. I doubt you need all-wheel drive most days, though.
Extremely easy to check in and out. Very clean with lots of amenities that we didn’t expect. Would definitely recommend this property to couples or families with one or two kids. The community is very quiet and is close to Bryson City and the NOC.

About the host

I am a pharmacist at Duke Hospital who stumbled into the world of property management and real estate. It all began when I started renting out my personal properties as short-term rentals. I quickly fell in love with managing properties and interacting with guests, which led me to obtain my real estate license. As my passion for this field grew, I expanded my services to manage other people's properties as well. The business became so busy that I had to reduce my hours at Duke Hospital to dedicate more time to it. I am deeply passionate about traveling and exploring different properties and areas, which fuels my love for this profession even more. I am dedicated to providing exceptional service to both property owners and guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all involved.
