This property was overall great. We did struggle with the amount of noise at night and the train schedule throughout the night. The property's location was amazing, with plenty of good food and nightlife nearby. The coffee shop across the street was delicious.
I had to write and express my disappointment that I did not get the accommodations that I paid for. I chose that unit because it more fit the needs of my family. The photos allowed me to see how we could be comfortable during our Christmas stay. The open kitchen to the living room would allow us to cook and play the games at the same time like we planned. Although there was just 1 bath, because it was large with 2 sinks, 2 ladies could use the mirror at once. It was the modern aesthetic that I desired. Unlike the unit we got with having to go thru someone’s room every time we had to use the bathroom from the main bedroom, the daybed being broken upon arrival, which, even after my husband tried to fix it as best he could, fell on the floor eventually, so my granddaughter ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. The unit was always freezing cold in the main bedroom, while the rest of the unit was warm. Kitchen ( like I said before) was not ideal for entertaining and closed off. Overall, I feel like we were slighted in not getting what I paid for. I saw one place and got something entirely different. I have family here and I visit often and probably would have rented your place again, but after everything that has transpired, I would not. I feel like my family had to suffer because you called me right before check into say the previous people didn’t check out on time any we would have stay some where else.Totally unacceptable!
The place was right in the coziness of downtown within walking distance of many restaurants. There was a nice coffee shop across the street and so many things to do close by. Will definitely book again in the future. Very small town feel.
This is a beautiful condo…very spacious and updated. Lots of character that you find in historic buildings and great location. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to watch the Hammond Mardi Gras parade. Walked to PJ’s every day for coffee and Superking Seafood for boiled crawfish. We love Hammond and would definitely stay in this condo again!
This place has it all! Best location from Southeastern and all downtown Hammond has to offer. It has a cool, chic atmosphere. The apartment has so much space (bedrooms are LARGE) and is beautifully appointed. Our group of 12 met here before driving onto campus and had so much space to chat and get ready. Walking distance to numerous shops, restaurants, and bars. We fell in love with Hammond during our stay. If we ever come back, we would want to stay here again!
From the moment I unlocked the door and walked into the elegant, sophisticated, bright, happy apartment, I had a feeling of serene comfort. The care in which this historic downtown home has been restored and beautifully appointed with such style was not only welcoming but also very relaxing. I loved having the ability to walk to so many places for food, beverages and entertainment. Everything was as good today as it was 30 years ago. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this gem, located in the downtown Hammond historic district to anyone.
Thank you John, so much for working with me on such short notice. Your graciousness and understanding was greatly appreciated.
