We enjoyed our stay in this casita. The location is perfect - close to everything Tucson has to offer! The outdoor patio space was especially comfortable and welcoming!
We had a two night stay at casita 19 for our daughter’s college graduation. Starr Pass is a beautiful area and close to downtown Tucson. Debbie was great to work with and we enjoyed our stay.
This was a really nice property for a work event. I could take my family also. The only setback was the pool was under construction thankfully the Marriott allowed us to use their pool, since the convention happened to be there. We also have a property using the same software and have to randomly check in to make sure that there’s no upside down bugs, which was the only setback for this Casita. Otherwise the lay was perfect for privacy and quiet.
The casita is beautifully decorated and has very comfortable furniture and beds. Loved watching the birds and wildlife passing by. The hike up to Starr Pass trailhead offers stunning views of Tucson. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. I will definitely be back!
The location was perfect for us. Lots of trails and things to do nearby. The property was fantastic. Very clean and well stocked! Deb was great to work with. Would definitely return!
My grown daughters and I had a wonderful 2 weeks at Debbie’s home. A beautiful, quiet, scenic area of Tucson easily accessible to downtown - 10 minutes away. Lovely pool area an easy walk from the home and miles of hiking trails right out the door. We will be back! Thanks, Debbie
Property is in a great location, quiet and well equipped. The layout worked well for us with two separate bedrooms each with own bathroom. Overall very clean with extra towels etc. A few things need renewing or maintenance eg some kitchen equipment and the back door screen. The house was nice and warm but the heating fans are very noisy particularly at night!
Great property, Great location near the Marriott, Great host
This property is in walking distance to the Marriott resort and has its own nice ammenities. The place was very nice and is setup perfectly with two units that have privacy. The host was very helpful to work through some web/login issues. Thank you!
Property was great for two couples. Kitchen was fully stocked. Close to attractions. Bike trail out the door. Pool, gym short walk. Quiet location. Host was responsive and kept in touch.

This was 4 Star condon
Needs a few things done I will address with owner .
We stayed for 7 nights while moving our daughter into the U of A. The condo accommodated our family of four nicely and was just a short drive to the U of A. We loved the view of the golf course and took advantage of the facilities to play golf twice. The courses were a lot of fun! Anyone staying here should know that this area is outside of town, which is part of what we loved. Everything in the condo worked well and while some things could be fixed (back screen door) or updated (towels), everything we needed was available to us. Communication with Deb was pleasant, quick and efficient. Thank you!
Debbie’s place is impeccable - brand new counters and leather furniture, a pillow top bed. And wood burning fire place. The absolute best part is the location and the wildlife. Our friends stayed at the JW Marriott and were so jealous of our casita. We saw a javelina walk past the patio one morning, woke to the sounds of a coyote this morning, and roadrunners galore on the sidewalks, backyard etc. we even saw shooting stars one night. The birds are gorgeous and the hummingbirds come to her feeder and flowers. It is walking distance from the pool and sports bar/restaurant, walking path, with access to more strenuous hikes. She has coffee available and the laundry machine does a terrific job. Our friends stayed a couple nights in the spare bedroom which has its own little kitchen and full bath. Neighbors are very friendly. One of the best place to stay with all the comfort of home. Debbie was responsive to everything. A great host!

Old and tired
The unit was actually 2 joined by common doors inside.
It was dated and poorly lit. It was clean, barely. The inside doors were dirty and a cabinet door in the larger bath was falling off. There were opened food bags in the freezer. This unit was okay because we were hardly there. The directions were terrible. It was hard to find the unit. The parking space for the unit was not marked. The space indicated by the manager directed us to a space clearly marked up to unit 18. There was nothing marked for 19. We guessed.
Anyone with mobility issues might find the access from parking to the unit a difficult slope. The directions said to open the front door with the key from the lock box on left. There were 2 identical front doors (formerly 2 units) the keys worked on the right side door not the one next to the lock box. Things like that add up. It was average.

golf suites at Starr Pass
This property was not fun to stay in. We picked up a glass when we first arrived and there was lipstick on it! That prompted us to start looking at the cleanliness of everything, as we always do, but especially during this time of Covid. We spent the next two hours cleaning surfaces, bathrooms and kitchen, then the rest of our 7 night stay not liking the poor condition of the beds and linens (pillows were horrible), the screen door out to the patio, dirty patio furniture cushions and the clutter of all the "stuff" that was obviously brought from the owner's home and deposited there. We didn't want to hang our clothes in the cluttered closets. We even cleaned the washer and dryer around the doors and wherever we could so we could feel like our laundry had a chance to be clean the one time we used the washer and dryer, The broom handle was even so grimy feeling, I had to clean it to be able to use it. We had stayed at two other of the casitas before--one owned by the hotel (this casita was not good) and another owned by a private VRBO owner (tried to stay at this property but was not available at this time, we loved this one). We expected Covid cleanliness and this property was not even close to rental property normal clean. We weren't comfortable here.

Condo in desperate need of major repairs
At first glance the property looks very appealing, however it is in need of serious repairs and updating. Upon entering the condo the temperature was 80 degrees inside and terribly stuffy. We opened the slider door and windows to air it out. We turned on the air conditioning and noticed it took a long time for the relatively small condo to cool down. We also noticed it was very loud. Then we noticed the air ducts in the ceiling were packed with dust. It was a warm weekend while we were there so not running it was not an option. The dust from the ducts caused us to sneeze all night and throughout the weekend. We could not use one of the sinks in the master bath because the drain for the sink was stuck in the closed position and the lever for it was broken. The other sink worked but the faucets were very difficult to turn on and off. The sliding glass door to the outside porch is so old it came of the tracks as we opened it. We had to be very careful and use two hands to open it. The windows in the bedrooms are old as well and the screens have tears in them. We sat outside to have our coffee one morning and noticed one of the swivel wicker chairs was broken. When we first arrived the smoke alarm was chirping and we had to scramble and quickly buy a new battery. Finally we were unable to watch TV because the Direct TV service was disrupted and not functioning. After many attempts to get it rebooted, the representatives of the cable company said the bill had not been paid. We contacted the owner who said she did pay it,however she couldn't get anyone to resolve the issue as it was a weekend. We were terribly disappointed and miserable from the dust. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
We enjoyed our week at this property, Starr Pass is definitely a preferable location. We saw javelinas around the condo and out the back and many deer. Just be careful that you drive the speed limit or under as they will run out in front of you, and the deer may be standing in the road around the blind curves. Love the wildlife!
The condo was spacious and well appointed, all the supplies you would need. Though a bit dated in decor, we liked it and were comfortable. The property overlooks a part of the golf course as well as a full view of the Starr Pass resort, very pretty. We couldn’t get the patio heater working as per the directions and would have spent more time out there as it was cold at night (Nov). The owner was very responsive to the few issues we had which was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return there in the future!
Really nice place. Great water pressure in the showers. Nice for two parties as the bedrooms are separated by the living room area. Kitchen is nicely equipped. Fantastic walking trails that you access by walking out the back door. Very peaceful and quiet.
The VRBO is nicely located near the 7th hole of a golf course and looks out to the JW Marriott Resort and Spa. I was attending a conference at the JW Marriott but it was sold out.
It is extremely convenient to get to and from the hotel. The valet even gave me a ride to the VRBO one evening.
Debbie is a great host. Communication was excellent.

Always read the reviews
It has been a little over a week since we stayed in the “luxury” villa. I failed to consider the reviews properly when booking; my spouse just read off multiple negative points identified in previous reviews that we, too, experienced. Examples: questionable cleaning (dead bugs/scorpions, sticky cabinets, used towels, overall run down), bedding did not appear fresh/we suffered mysterious bug bites, rear screen door needs repair, one of the patio swivel chairs was in disrepair, air ducts were filthy, Direct TV was out of order, spider webs along the ceiling. Great location, beautiful scenery, but we would not stay here again.
Beautiful views and wildlife It was so wonderful and can’t wait to come back.

Why they chose this property
I have been going to Starr Pass since 1993. I owned another property there for 15 years. I love the city, the atmosphere, the people in the community and the golf course is truly the best in the city.
What makes this property unique
I love to watch the red cardinal that visits our backyard and the numerous quail as well. The view of the city lights from our patio is unique and spectacular.
