Worst stay in a VRBO-Do not recommend

We initially asked if we could do an early checkin and was told yes. At first arrival the yard had odd items scattered throughout. Looked as though someone lived there and left to go into town. After several attempts to unlock the door lock it finally worked. We inspected the house and realized the house had not been cleaned and the dirty sheets were still on the beds. There was used razors and moldy in the shower and dirt all over the floors. The beds that were made were stained and nasty looking. The stove had food dried on it and had not been cleaned since last use. Dirty pot was sitting on burner still. I reached out to the host and did not get a response for several hours the amount of dust build up was a reflection this home had not been cleaned for quit sometime. With no other options we opted to go get cleaning supplies and new linens ao we could sleep on clean sheets. The host finally responded to tell us they were out of the country traveling and had some issues with the previous cleaners and they would reimburse us for the cleaning fee and cost if linens. Needless to say i have yet to hear back about being reimbursed and VRBO has been of no help to assist with resolution. There was no wifi which means no TV or cell service in that area. We were given the excuse it was due to the storm. However, my son lives in the area and has same provider and they have service. The host was full of excuses & no resolution. There was personal clothing and mail laying out

Good Remote Experience

The previous reviews are accurate. It is truly a log cabin with lots of character. Plenty of open space along with 4 bedrooms. This is a remote private experience. Nice view of East TN rolling hills. Multiple porches were great. Property was clean. They had sprayed for insects but needed to vacuum the remnants, especially in the downstairs bedrooms. Recommend more lighting in the bathrooms and bedrooms. There is a perfect place for full length mirror in the loft bedroom which would be nice. Good communication with the host. We had a little trouble with the key and the code but got it resolved with one phone call. The driveway would be troublesome with a car. We had an SUV and truck and were fine but it is slow going due to ruts and holes. Jackson (the host dog) was sweet and got along with our dogs. The stairs were not an issue for us but could definitely be an issue with any mobility limitation. Recommend owner check all bulbs and lighting. Recommend guests bring plenty of extra paper supplies.

Beautiful Views from Porch Swing

We loved this place! It was soooo beyond peaceful and the view was just perfect. The pictures really do not do the house justice. The stairs were steep like in older post about it so if you are not very mobile, I would not stay here. The place was clean and they seemed to have everything we needed for a night stay. I could have sat on the porch swing for days. At first we thought the dog might be a problem but he was super friendly. The boys loved fishing in the pond. Will definitely go back.

Quiet 4th of July Family Stay

Enjoyed our stay, but 60+ renters might have some difficulties. Stairs are steep and the stairs going to the lower level had no hand rails. Master bathroom could use more lighting. Nice, newer appliances. Very quiet and short 10 minute trip to stores. Comfortable beds. Need to take driveway very slowly. Would highly recommend for the middle-aged crowd, not for seniors unless very active and steady on their feet.
