Great way to introduce NC to my parents visiting from CA! Enjoyed the side porch in the mornings and cozy living spaces. Very clean overall and well stocked kitchen with supplies. There’s even a crock pot, wine cooler, toys and games! The attached garage for our car was a plus too, made things easier.
The only things I will say is the air vents need a wipe down from dust and the beds maybe rotated. Other than that… I would definitely come back and stay again! Thank you!
The outside landscaping need serious attention. also the screen in porch need serious cleaning and repair. It looks like a vacant home from the street. The inside was immaculate very well decorated and well supplied with all are needs
Very well furnished, upgraded and spacious 3 BR home; we had a wonderful stay. One minor thing is: master bed has a squeak, not sure what needs fixing.
Property was very clean and spacious. Beautiful views, nice quiet location and close to everything. Had a great relaxing time. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks
We had a great stay with our two sons over the Easter break. Doug was wonderful to work with. The house is beautifully decorated and it was so relaxing to sit out on the screened in porch. The ease of getting to the property (no steep driveways or icy mountain roads) was really convenient and safe.
The location was ideal for our trips into the Smokies and Asheville. The grocery store is super close and there are great restaurants in Canton and the other nearby towns as well. We would definitely stay again! Thanks Doug!
We had a lovely stay at this location. The house was extremely clean and had all the amenities you could ask for in the kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of plugs and outlets for charging. Was able to use the HDMI cord for the tv to hook up to my computer to watch anything. Lots of great character and design in the home.
Doug was very responsive and helpful with questions I had. Highly recommend this property and would stay again if I had the opportunity!
We had a really nice stay here, but were only there for an evening due to our travel plans. There was a typo from the owner with the entry code. That's an honest mistake, but I couldn't get a hold of them when I tried, multiple times. I ended up calling VRBO support and they discovered the other message that I missed. Again, honest mistake. The property didn't look as nice as the pics on the outside. Grass was overgrown and tons of tall weeds throughout the front of the house/landscaping. The inside was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. It had an awesome cabin feel and retro/modern look! Being able to park in the garage was absolutely great as our car was loaded with a ton of items we didn't want to unload. We woke up to local roosters outside our window, which we loved! Seriously, it was cute, and they weren't too loud by any imagination. They may not be there for your stay. Waynesville is close by and has all the things ya need for a weekend. Haywood smokehouse on Elysinia Ave was incredibly tasty BBQ!
This house was so clean and thoughtfully put together. We had everything we needed, and everything was so handy. We loved that Ingles was so conveniently close.
This house just west of Asheville was really a great place to stay. It was one of our favorite VRBO experiences. The house is really beautiful with that cabin feel, but it had all of the modern conveniences that many people want. In addition, everything we needed was supplied in terms of household items. We were a group that ranged from 17 to 70 years old and everyone loved it. When we arrived, my girls literally ran from room to room squealing. They said I hit a home run with this property.
We arrived after dark in the wake of hurricane Ian. It was chilly, pouring and of course dark. As we pulled up I saw there was a garage. I ran in quick and was very happy to see the garage was clear and we could pull in to unload. Pulled the car in, closed the door turned the lights on and unloaded out of the elements.... amazing. To say this house was clean is understatement. I'd say it was even cleaner than my mom's house (don't tell her I said that). We have rented many houses and this was the most pleased I've ever been with a house for our family. The kitchen had everything you would need not only to make quick meals but complete meals too. My wife made the comment this would be a good house to rent over Thanksgiving because the kitchen was so well outfitted. The coffee maker is a hybrid Keurig pod and conventional pot in one machine if anyone is wondering. That was one thing we couldn't find prior to arrival in the listing. The WiFi is great, kids could stream their shows to Kindle no problem. There are USB charging bricks in almost every room that were really convenient. It's about 20-25 minutes to downtown Asheville. The interstate (I26 I think) was just a couple minutes from the house and really convenient to get to. There are mountain views directly across the road from the house that was a nice bonus. We weren't particularly concerned with views when we booked. We were more staying for Ashville downtown Asheville activities. We really enjoyed our stay and I'm confident you will too.
Some friends and I got away to go rafting for my birthday, the place was very homey and just far off the beaten path enough to have some peace and quiet and just close enough to everything (20-25 min) from Asheville that we can enjoy the town without wasting a good chunk of the day. We can't wait to come back and stay.
