Pet friendly with fee. Non-smoking, strictly enforced. Contact free check-in and check-out available. Two steps to access front door

NO SMOKING POLICY STRICTLY ENFORCED! Property is NOT child or baby-proof in ANY way. There is a porch with no railing. Owner is not responsible for any accidents, injury, or death.

The property is a cottage surrounded by woods. We do have a bug service, but cannot guarantee a bug will not get into the house. We have left a can of spray under the kitchen sink for your use but accept NO responsibility for its use or misuse, including as it pertains to children.

Weekend Getaway

Wonderful town, friendly people, good food, amazing Refuge with horses, wildlife. We just absolutely adore Chincoteague. Cottage was cozy, comfortable, good location. Dogs loved the nearby fog park. Hostess was friendly, very helpful with local events. Just a wonderful time

Cozy!

Loved it. It was clean and just a lovely quaint cabin. Just enough for us to enjoy each others company. Would recommend this place to my other friends and family. Thank you to the wonderful host for a beautiful Christmas with our kids!

Wonderful!!

On the island to visit family and wanted my own space! The cottage was perfect! The decor in line with the cottage theme! So clue and comfortable. It was the perfect setting. Quiet neighborhood. Even saw deer one morning!

Charming house!

First - the host was great! She responded to my numerous questions immediately! Then when we got to the house, we found it to be very clean and sooo charming. Parking was right off of the porch- so very convenient! We enjoyed the bucket of treats and information that were left for us! Definitely recommend this property!

Cute little house with everything you need for a wonderful stay

This house had everything you need to enjoy your stay. House was clean and welll stocked. The bed was very comfortable. The location is very quiet. We’ll definitely book again.

Weekend getaway

Quaint cottage in a centrally located area of the island, our host remembered that it was my wife's birthday and had Happy Birthday balloons for her. Enjoyed the stay !

Cute Bungalow

Perfect cabin for two people to stay during the summer. AC worked and water pressure was great. Easy parking and access. Communication with the host was simple and complete and the cabin was exactly as described. If I could make suggestions for improvement - please tell cleaning crew to not use the powerful perfumed carpet cleaner; the smell was overwhelming upon arrival and a less springy mattress would be ideal.

Perfect cozy rustic bungalow

This place was great. The location was just perfect - off busy roads on a quiet lane with tons of trees, making for some nice privacy and cool shade when sitting on the deck. Some other reviews mentioned mosquitoes and other bugs, we found them to be pretty average for a mid-Atlantic coastal area in July. The host was incredibly responsive and always replied to messages within 5 minutes. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Little Escape

This was a convenient nice cottage not far from Maddox and piney island / community boat ramp/kayak launch. Added bonus pet friendly. We had a very nice stay at this location. Easy check in & check out.

A time for Healing

My daughter lost Vince, her soulmate, last March. Chincoteague was their favorite place. We were able to visit many of the spots they loved during our recent stay. Sea La Vie is a lovely cottage and was a perfect retreat for a time of healing.

Lovely, cozy, affordable, and pet friendly!

- RESPONSIVE HOST: Left us some snacks! - VERY CLEAN: Prior guests left food on dishes/pans. - VERY MILD DAMP SMELL: hard to avoid moisture entirely in island locales; smell not overwhelming; some febreeze on furniture/ bed might help too. - COFFEE AVAILABLE: Keurig on its last leg. old water in it so we had to clean it. - VERY COLD INSIDE TEMP IN FEBRUARY: Freezing! Baseboard heaters on high, but you’d never know it. Walls are thin, but neighborhood fairly quiet. AC window units had dirty filters, gaps plugged w/ paper towels, other gaps that likely let bugs through in the spring/summer. - BRIGHT AND SUNNY! (Bring sleep masks!) - NOT VERY WALKABLE: NO sidewalks nearby; decent sized shoulders so not too treacherous! - PORCH SEVERELY WEATHERED: makes property look a little rundown; cottage is quite adorable. Porch is first thing you see when you pull up; try not to let it ruin your first impression. - REALLY BAD BED: surprised there weren’t more comments in other reviews about the bed! Maybe it’s just us. - NO BUGS IN FEBRUARY! HOORAY! - COMPLICATED SHOWER: Either scalding or freezing; right is marked hot but is actually cold. Told host at checkout; said she’d send maintenance. - TO DO: AJ’s (amazing crab cakes!), Daisey’s for year round boat tour (Bill was BEST tour guide! we saw ponies!), Pearl is on water and food was good! Pizza from Famous Pizza. Lighthouse. Good coffee/ delish pastries at Amarin. We visited off season; many businesses/restaurants closed / limit hrs.

mia was a lovely host and always responded promptly, especially when we had a small issue! the property was adorable and perfect for us. the kitchen was stocked with almost everything we could need! the bed was comfortable, as was the sofa. there’s adorable, private outdoor space that we would’ve enjoyed if the weather was better during our stay. we even befriended a neighborhood cat who greeted us daily!

Great Cottage Great Location

Cottage was great. Perfect size for my wife and myself. Very clean and tidy when we arrived. Host was very quick to return messages when contacted. The cottage was centrally located on the island so it only took a few minutes to get anywhere on the island.

First Stay at SeaLaVie

SeaLaVie was very clean and cutely decorated. It was a good value considering we booked relatively late and stayed during high season. Opportunities for improvement include a better mixer/regulator for the hot and cold water in the shower and a new mattress that is not so soft. We brought two small dogs with us on this trip, but this is not the best property for dogs, since Church Street has quite a bit of traffic and there are no sidewalks or shoulders to easily and safely walk a dog on until you get closer to Main Street.
