Loved this house and the view! Host was kind and responsive and recommended a great hike nearby for us to go on. House was cute and super clean. No complaints at all about the house or the host. We loved our stay.
It is on a main road that is busy but the view is worth it.
this house feels like home. it's exactly what you need it to be: cozy & stocked & with a view you can't get sick of. we stayed for a long weekend & were so sad to leave but so grateful to Heather & her family for giving us the opportunity to share in their gem of home! Heather has the best balance of being communicative & helpful while letting guests have total independence & privacy. we paddled, swam, built a fire & lounged on the dock, all first time experiences with our 4 month old! we live in Maine but this felt like being somewhere brand new. 10/10 definitely recommend. and don't miss out on the breakfast sammies from the Local Hub. or a meal at Steam Mill brewing. or a visit to Gibsons!
It really did feel like home here.
The kitchen was stocked with any basic cooking staple that we needed and plenty of cookware and dishes. I was particularly excited to see the different kids plates available. The grill was great too!
The livingroom is comfortable with a lovely view of the pond. There were beach towels available which is great, because i forgot ours. Streaming and lots of DVDs for the huge TV.
Convenient washer and dryer outside of the bathroom. The bathroom was stocked with towels and toiletries if we needed them. The shower was hot and had great water pressure.
Beds were very comfortable with lots of storage in the dressers and tons of charging ports.
The pond was our favorite part, by far. I enjoyed my morning coffee while sitting on the dock, watching the loons and fish. There were 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks available to use from their dock and we used then everyday.
The kids are very excited to go back next year!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin on the lake. It served as our home base for skiing and was the perfect spot for our family to relax at night. Thanks to Heather for her responsiveness and for being a great host.
The house is so cute and super close to Sunday River. We had a great time and had enough space for all 5 of us. The house was well stocked and the owner very communicative! Thanks Heather!
The cottage was the perfect size for myself and grandchildren. Easy to find right on Route 26 with plenty of parking. It was clean and well stocked. Had a nice outside deck with a gas grill, comfortable chairs and patio dining set with umbrella. There was a dock and plenty to do on the lake with the paddle boards and kayaks. Fire pit at night was a hit! Host very responsive and great to deal with. We enjoyed our stay, Kim
Loved our stay at camp wigwam. Lovely view of the amazing pond, paddle boards and kayaks were awesome, house was cozy and perfect for a party of three. Heather was friendly and communicative. House had everything we needed for meals including a grill. House was very close to many fun activities including grafton notch state park, downtown bethel, hikes, etc. Perfect location! Only downside was the very busy road with loud traffic and occasional train horns in the middle of the night. We did get used to it and would stay again for sure!

Why they chose this property
The lakes and mountains of Western Maine are my favorite parts of our state. Loons, bald eagles, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, skiing and everything else the region has to offer is in your own backyard at Camp Wigwam.
