Quiet Retreat and Large Fully Fenced Yard~ The Boathouse

One of Folly's Best! The Boathouse is a classic 2-story Folly Home. The house looks across the secluded street to the Folly River. It boasts a large front porch to enjoy the view. The Boathouse has a spacious and open living room and dining area that looks out towards the river through the large front windows. You will find the property has 2 queen bedrooms and 1 double room. The primary has an ensuite bathroom and looks out to the Folly River as well. The beach is a quick 3 block walk to the 11th street beach access.

Well behaved, flea-treated dogs are welcome to join in the family fun. Up to 3 pups can come along and play in the fully fenced-in yard while you relax or grill on the front deck. Inside the fenced-in yard, you will have private parking for up to four vehicles. You will also find an outdoor shower under the house and a rinse station on the porch stairs to get the sand off your toes.

Christmas Vacation

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for our Christmas home away from home. We were able to enjoy it with our 3 dogs knowing that the yard was fenced in and secure. Everyone had plenty of room and a great view. It was nice and quiet but close to everything we needed or wanted to do. It was a great place for us to enjoy the holiday.

Pet friendly on Folly

The location is pretty far off from center st but was nice and peaceful. We rented a golf cart which worked out perfect for going to the beach and out to eat. Would definitely recommend if you’re traveling with dogs. There are so few dog friendly places to rent I love that they allowed all 3 of my dogs and that the yard is fully fenced.

Wonderful stay on Folly Island

Lovely home. Very comfortable. Well equipped. Loved sitting on the porch and night skies were awesome. Quiet. Easy access to the beach. Thank you for making this home available. It served our needs perfectly. Only issue is small but important for safety i think. Right front burner on the stove only has high heat and doesnt turn down so we could only use the rear large burner. Might want to have it looked at. But otherwise perfect stay!!!

Perfect house for dog owners

We loved the house ourselves, but having a large fenced in yard for our dogs was the icing on the cake for a very relaxing vacation. The view from the house was amazing. The large sectional couch was perfect for our family to watch movies from on the two rainy days during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice and a little needy

Great house, location and plenty of room. It could use a good cleaning, the ceiling fans, etc. otherwise would definitely stay there again. Easy walk to the ocean, great views and easy drive to Folly Beach.

Nice property but needs some work

The home was conveniently located near the beach and had nice new kitchen appliances but has a lot of deferred maintenance. Light bulbs were out in every room and has not had new coat of paint in year. This is beyond their control but the neighbors on the other side of the fence were constantly yelling at our dogs for no reason.

Great location at the quiet end of the beach.

We had our annual family trip with folks from 3 different states. We loved the location and the shirt walk to the beach. The fenced in yard was great for.our dogs. There were some issues with the air conditioning, but we were notified before we arrived and the HVAC repair company came out promptly. Overall it was a fun time at Folly Beach!

FOLLY FUN!

This was a great home for the whole family to get together on Folly Beach. The dogs had a great space - we were three blocks from the beach, an easy walk. There was a view of the river & the marsh. The negatives were that while the yard was fenced in there wasn’t a great amount of outdoor space, and most of it was taken up by, a hammock on the front porch. Rooms were locked off like the back sunporch and stair access. There were 2 broken chairs from from the dining table - one was downstairs in the carport. The primary bedroom bed was a little on the small side, a queen would’ve been better and mattress was pretty old -the’ kitchen was well equipped. AC worked really well and kept the place cool in the hot summer. Place was well representative. It was clean, and for the most part well maintained

Boat House Review

Property was a good location to the beach and town. Rooms and space were clean and easy to use. Bathrooms were a bit antiquated for the cost of the rental but overall a very nice stay.

This is a great place to stay. The house has plenty of space and is very clean. Very quiet location with a comfy hammock on the porch with a great view. My family and I will definitely stay here again.

Fun at Folly Beach

Clean,comfortable and an easy walk to the beach. Beautiful view of the Folly River and quiet. We rented bikes and road to everywhere we needed to get to on the island.

The Home Away From Home

Charleston is my second home. I originally planned to come with family to visit family but due to a work emergency it ended up only being me staying at the home. I have to say I was a little apprehensive about it but overall a great stay for the price. I am looking forward to the possibility of staying here again or sharing with friends.

Great views

From the front porch first position. Loved the hammock. Great yard for the dog once you close the front gates. Short walk to the beach. Might want to bring some bug spray. Over all a great place to stay. Will come again.

Great Folly Beach Getaway

The Boathouse was the perfect find for our quick weekend visit to Folly Beach. The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the fun mix of furniture and artwork which created a super homey atmosphere. Best of all the house is on a quiet street away from the crowds, but only a short walk away from the beach. Enjoyed the great view of the marsh from the deck as well as the main living area. Would not hesitate to book this one again! Overall, we were really pleased with our stay!

Cut BNB....but the bugs aren't nice

Lovely BNB. If they could get a handle on the bugs, ants, roaches, that'd be better. Otherwise, cute little house with cabin vibes.
