About this property
Big Tree Retreat: Secluded cabin with hot tub, river views & woodstove
Sleeping 9 people, Big Tree Retreat is the perfect place for your group to escape to when you want to relax, unwind and spend some quality time together. Our energy efficient cabin, built in 2019, showcases modern décor, floor to ceiling windows perfect for taking in the forest/river views, a roomy kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a cozy wood stove for those chilly winter nights. We also have a hot tub!
The space
Our newly built cabin, located on the beautiful Salmon River, features a beautiful setting with floor to ceiling windows, stainless steel appliances and a cozy wood stove. The spacious kitchen and dining area has direct access to the porch and hot tub; perfect for enjoying the Mt. Hood forest and river views while sipping coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. Upstairs features a separate loft area where kids will love to play games or watch TV. The basement is the perfect area to spread out, play foosball or relax watching a movie on the smart TV. Both TVs have new DVD players with an extensive assortment of DVDs. And don't forget to relax in our stunning 5 person hot tub!
Step outside and you’ll find a covered patio furnished with a propane BBQ, dining table and chairs. The magnificent Douglas Fir tree on our property is 500+ years old and is considered an ecological gem. Arborists claim it is one of the oldest Douglas Firs in the area. The Salmon River is a short 1 minute walk and is the only river in the U.S. designated as a National Wild and Scenic River. While the surrounding area offers tremendous opportunities for outdoor activities, Big Tree Retreat is your personal refuge and opportunity to reconnect with friends or family.
