We loved our stay at this property. It's located in a very quiet, scenic area of Mattapoisett. The views of the ocean can't be beat and Patricia was available if we needed anything. Lots of toys and games to keep the kids entertained as well.
Beautiful home, amazing grounds, so many ocean views within the house. Set up is perfect. House is completely updated. Very comfortable to stay at. Highly recommend!
The week we spent as a family at this house in Mattapoisett was just perfect. The house was well stocked with all the comforts of home. The raised wraparound deck at the back of the house provided an incredible view of Buzzards Bay, with Ned’s Point lighthouse and lower Cape Cod In the background. The expansive lawn and private beach at the rear of the property was great for lounging and playing with the kids. Lastly, our host Patricia was very attentive to our needs and communicated well. I highly recommend this property for a nice getaway.
Our family couldn't be happier after staying in this Mattapoisett property. Everything was just right. The home is comfortable, clean and worked well for our children and grandchildren. The beach and amenities were excellent.
A+++++
Thanks and hope we can do it again next summer!
Property was amazing! The kids loves being able to play in the large yard and beach area! Plenty of inside and outdoor activities for kids and adults. House was beautifully maintained and any kitchen item we needed was available. We would certainly return!
My family and I loved our stay in Mattapoisett. The home was very clean and organized. Games for the kids and beach toys were provided, as well as sheets, towels and beach towels. It was super close to the ocean with the beach in the backyard. We had such a great time!
We had a great stay! This is a spectacular house with a beautiful backyard and private beach: what more could you hope for? There really is no need to leave the property, but when we wanted to, there were plenty of family friendly adventures close by: a bike path, restaurants, playgrounds, activities in New Bedford. The house is very large and has so many toys, games, and books. Things pop up during any stay: the question is, how does the host respond? Patricia was very quick to reply to issues. There was one thing we thought she was not addressing properly, but when we reached out again, she was extremely understanding and is going to ensure it does not come up again for other guests. So, we highly recommend this place and hope to return again soon!
I can't say enough positive about our stay at this property. Let's start with the area. Matapoisett is a magical community with a lovely character, lovely shops, and a relaxed atmosphere that draws all the stress out of you. Next you are in a very accessible area to get to many wonderful other areas should you need to travel about. You are an hour from: Newport, Cape Cod and Boston. The actual property in on a small peninsula in a quaint little community that just driving through further relaxes you with lovely cottages and smelling neighbors. Finally the home itself is situated so perfectly it is almost beyond measure. It is a private 1 acre beautifully treed lot with lovely hedges and and an expansive lawn that leads out to your own private beach. You have an upper deck with a wonderful view of the local light house, Ned's Point as well as one further out, East Cleveland Ledge. They are both gorgeous. The beach has a wonderful array of shells and you are allowed to walk the beach front along a few of the neighbors homes based on signage on the beach. Now to the home. We are complete germaphobes and the space was very comfortable. They home is wonderfully appointed with everything we could need. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 up and 2 down. The area was wonderfully quiet and we slept amazingly. Do give a "scientific" measure, I wear a Garmin watch and measure my sleep every night. My average at home is upper 70s for the past year. I was upper 80s even getting a 92!!
Beautiful yard and house. Pictures are accurate but don’t quite do it justice. Thank you to Patricia for hosting us and accommodating what we wanted to do thank you so much!
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this home. It was very clean, and super comfortable for our family holiday weekend. The kids loved the beach and all of the toys and games!
The house was clean and comfortable and had plenty of space for my husband and I, my mother, and three kids. Gorgeous views, we'll stocked kitchen, and comfortable linens. We had a fabulous time, and I would highly recommend staying here.
Lovely spacious accommodations, outstandingly well furnished and clean, extra props for plenty of beach toys and towels plus a super nice kitchen. Two big common rooms on each floor, all with ocean view and deck access, are great for a group to enjoy flexible privacy or togetherness. The neighborhood is lush and secluded, lovely for biking since it's near the Mattapoisett rail trail.
The one caveat I'd make is that the local culture is very private-beach: the house beach is as great as it looks for hangouts, swimming, kayak or paddleboarding etc, but walking along the shore below the tide line isn't an option.
Patricia is friendly and hospitable, and special features that we enjoyed are sunrise and storm views off the main deck, and plenty of birdwatching (ospreys are the local highlight!).
