Coffee and kayaks

Hurricane Helene ravaged our area in September and certainly impacted this property. However, the owner was transparent and communicative re: the progress on the repairs being made and timeline for our visit and was responsive to any inquiries we made. We were offered the opportunity to change our booking but had looked at MANY other properties in the area for our family gathering and felt comfortable with our decision to keep our reservation. We were not disappointed. It being winter, the limited access to the lake amenities was not a hindrance to our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our group. We look forward to a time in the future when we can take full advantage of Coffee and Kayaks.

Fantastic Family Fun

Our family vacation was wonderful! The house provided abundant activities for everyone. We played cards and board games. We went out on the kayaks, canoes, floats and an extra large water mat. Everything we wanted, and more, was available. We saw a doe almost daily and often saw a doe with a fawn crossing in the back yard. The view from the backyard deck was our favorite place to be. The host was easy to contact and responded promptly. The setting of the house, a bit off the road, on a quiet, easily walkable street was great. I would highly recommend Coffee and Kayaks. And, yes, the coffee options were fabulous. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. A welcoming and enjoyable stay was had by all!

Fun with kayaks and canoes!

This was an excellent stay for our family of 9 adults and 5 children! We enjoyed the boats with life jackets every day! The small beach front area was great for little ones to splash around in and play on the shore. There were a lot of extras included that some hosts don't always think of, like plenty of TP, trash bags, dish washing supplies, and a good amount of dishes and pots/pans. Nick was extremely attentive with all our questions and was available the entire stay! Super Host! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for Our Family!

Coffee and Kayaks was truly a wonderful place for our family to be together, sit on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake and enjoy kayaking! The house itself has many areas of sleeping arrangements, games to play and ways to entertain! The host was available and helpful! Our only complaint was having to clean up the deck in order to use it and having to pull up the poison ivy outside in the walkways. If the outside were cleaned up a little better, this would have been a 5 star rating.

Lake Fun

My family and friends enjoyed our stay at coffee and kayaks. The public boat ramp is very conveniently located. We were able to recreate daily on the lake. The game room was a wonderful bonus!

Great Family-Friendly Home

We stayed a full week at this house with our family for a highschool bass fishing tournament. It was everything the description said it was. The garage was full Of water toys that we enjoyed all week. The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials to cook big family meals every night. The house layout was ideal and spacious so all family members could spread out and have their “space”. The kiddos enjoyed the game room as well. When we come back to town we will surely look to rebook with Nick.

Awesome vacation

Our family enjoyed the lake experience and the amenities of this house. Tha game room was a definite hit with our family and the lake access was great! The stairs going down to the lake could be improved but wouldn’t keep me from booking this property again. The bedrooms and living areas were spacious and comfortable.

6 adults 6 children perfection.

Our bi-yearly family vacation. Three families. Spent two spectacular days in the crazy number of kayaks and a paddle board. Fire each night. Third day rented a pontoon boat and used the hot dog and float to play around the house then explored Cemetery Island. The rental was all it claimed to be and more. So many ways to make coffee. So many kayaks. At night everyone played ping pong, air hockey, and pac man. All we need was groceries and a bathing suit. Absolutely perfect.

Amazing

We had family and friends with us from ages 4-75 and everyone had a wonderful time. It was beautiful and spacious. The game room and all the amenities were great. The coffee bar was the best! The view was breathtaking. It was very clean, had plenty of towels and sheets, and the response time was quick the entire time. Will stay again.

Awesome place for large family that loves the lake!

“ Kayaks and Coffee” such a great name for this place. Coffee bar was stocked and there were several options on which way you wanted to make it. I loved having coffee and sitting on the porch just watching the water. My family loves the lake and all the toys to play on the lake. This house had several kayaks, paddle board, life jackets, floats and pretty much whatever you could think of to have on the lake. We had a couple of kids that especially loved the hot dog float that we could pull behind the boat. We had a family of 15 and the house had plenty of room for everyone. It rained a lot during our stay so the game room was great for everyone to stay busy and have fun! Nick was more than accommodating and answered any questions we had promptly. Great, great place to stay and we are already planning our stay for next year!

Great Family Retreat

We rented this home for the weekend as we moved our son back to Clemson. It was only about 7 minutes from his off campus housing so was perfect for us. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need while staying there. Coffee bar was a fun touch with every type off coffee brewer you could want and the bonus was the coffee was provided. The home has a beautiful deck off the back to entertain or just sit out and enjoy nature. The kids had a blast with the games in the basement, especially the old school video game machine. The house has a beach area at the lake which allows for swimming, sunning and easy use of the kayaks and lake equipment. Our dog loved being able to swim in the lake. Just a word of caution, the lake is downhill from the house and there are stairs and paths on the way down, but it would not be easy navigating for someone who may be handicapped or have difficulty walking. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Can’t wait to stay again!!!!

We live a short distance away but wanted a vacay away for my daughters 16th birthday!!! What a beautiful piece of property filled with million dollar lake views, deer, and amazing sunsets but most importantly…the owner is the very definition of hospitality!!! I can’t rave enough about this being the TOTAL package!!! We WILL return!!!!!

Great Family Vacation

This was a great property with the easiest access to the lake. It has everything you need for a great time. Floats to tie to boats, kayaks, paddle boards, inner tubes. Nick was fantastic helping with anything we needed and making sure our stay was awesome. The kids LOVED the ping pong table and limitless video games . Renting a boat was easy and you could anchor in the cove and just swim to the house to grab anything. the zero entry was great for the dogs as well. Would definitely come back!

Wow, I get twice as many characters to tell you about me than about the property. I guess we can start from the beginning.... I was born in small town... ok, I won't get carried away. Our family lives in the great state of South Carolina after doing stints in Texas, Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, and just about everywhere in between. We love the outdoors, coffee, and kayaking... I'm not sure if that makes the name "Coffee and Kayaks" original, cliché, or whatever the kids are saying these days, but either way, it gives us an opportunity to share our great family home with you. It's been an unbelievable blessing for us to own this little slice of serenity. We hope you enjoy it too! It all makes sense now, right?

Why they chose this property

Whether you are using a lasso to collect pine cones (a personal favorite of our son) or waking up early to get the kayaks out on the lake, this lakefront home impressed us from our first step in the door. We had been looking for the perfect family getaway for some time and knew this was the one. The location is great and the larger lot gives you a lot of privacy and freedom. The massive deck gives you plenty of excuses to get outside and enjoy the lake. We really tried to get something to catch everyone's attention. Be it the full size arcade game, ping pong, DVD library, outdoor space, kayaks, basketball hoop, etc... We truly care and want to make this a phenomenal experience.

What makes this property unique

Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city life in Carolina, Seneca/Townville is a slow-paced retreat from your busy life and a great spot to unwind with the family. Coffee and Kayaks provides a strong value add to the short-term rental space by offering a massive (its actually two lots) 200"+ of waterfront to be viewed from the large deck and, even if you get some subpar weather, there is enough to keep the family busy inside.
