The cabin is beautiful. We had plenty of room inside and out. It was fairly clean. Some garbage disposal smells, but overall it was very nice. There were plenty of towels/ toiletries and dishes. Everyone enjoyed the front porch swing and games.
our family enjoyed our time at the cabin, it was raining during our stay .There was not much to do indoors around the area the cabin is great for big groups. very close to buffalo river we will probably come back in the summer. our kids enjoyed the hot tub the day that was not raining.
Rustic and accommodating. Wildlife are everywhere and almost walking distance from canoe rentals and shuttle to the river. Side note the front porch is perfect for a baggo or cornhole tournament.
This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family trip to the Buffalo River. It’s tucked away in a great location close to the campgrounds and river. Loved that we could all hang out together and have our pups with us! We will definitely rent again!
The cabin was very nice, just what we were expecting from the pictures. It is set back off the road which was excellent for our dog, he enjoyed the property and all the hikes around the cabin.
There is plenty to keep everyone busy all day. The cabin was clean and updated bathrooms were nicely done, hot tub was great, and the outfitters store had the friendliest employees who were helpful.
You can go hiking, but there's plenty to do at this cabin!
Big Buffalo is a very clean and spacious cabin set just off the road for a little privacy. There is plenty to do outside near this area, but after a morning hike, we simply enjoyed all the amenities of the cabin itself - porch swing naps, campfire, board games, old school video games, darts and more. The cabin had all we needed to unwind and escape a little. Will certainly return!
Big Buffalo was just perfect! Our group of four adults enjoyed how clean and spacious this cabin was. My wife and I chose the basement area bedroom and our friend couple took the main floor bedroom. We had our own separate spaces and didn’t have to worry about disturbing each other if someone wanted to get a little extra sleep or take a nap. The hot tub was a great bonus. We spent several evenings soaking with a lot of laughs and enjoying each others’ company. Overall it was a great first time lodging in Arkansa for our group. Definitely will do this again!
We traveled with a large group of friends and family to The Buffalo National River for a weekend getaway. The Big Buffalo cabin had enough room and activities for everyone to enjoy the weekend. The hot tub was a big hit with all the kids. The adults enjoys the porch and sitting around the fire. Kitchen is small to prepare a large meal but it can be done. Jay communicated with all our inquiries and was a great host!
Our family spent 5 days at the cabin and enjoying the Buffalo River. We could not have had a better time if we tried! The cabin was big enough for us to spread out and provided everything we needed. The porch seemed to be our favorite place to spend the mornings and evenings. I was happy to find such a wonderful home to not only accommodate our group, but also our two dogs. They really enjoyed playing ball in the spacious yard! We hope to get back to the cabin in the future and will for sure visit Buffalo Point again.

Big Buffalo Cabin
Cabin was a great location to where we floated at. We all had a great time until rashes on the day we checked out started appearing on the kids… we did contact Jay and he was very nice. The hot tub was dirty and do think that is what caused the rashes. We didn’t have check out instructions but did let Jay know and he knew it was something he hadn’t clicked since they had put it back on VRBO and was going to fix that.
Get together weekend with extended family. The cabin worked just fine. Looks like the owners are in the process of remodeling as bathrooms look like they just got an upgrade recently! It rained the whole weekend, so we didn’t get to hike like we planned, but it gave us plenty of inside time to chat and watch football. Living area could use more lamps (overhead glares on TV) and kitchen needs more mixing/serving bowls. We had a great time.

Kristen grew up in Yellville and we both love the Buffalo River. We spend many summer days floating, camping, and hiking with our children. Kristen’s great-great grandfather Doc Dillard owned the Dillard’s Ferry before the Hwy 14 bridge was built. He also owned 100’s of acres surrounding the River which is now National Park land. The Buffalo River is a treasure we hope you enjoy.
We are thrilled to have you stay with us at the Big Buffalo cabin (a piece of family history) and make many unforgettable memories.
