My family and myself enjoyed the stay at the cottage. It was so cute and welcoming, beautiful views, in a nice secluded area. And the host are amazing and got back as soon as they could with any questions.
My family of three were able to enjoy this charming historic cottage in Currituck. The amenities are well thought out, the Wi-Fi was fast enough to allow me to put in a day’s work, and when it was time for rest the beds were extra comfy. Waking up to the sun over the Currituck Sound was an extra special experience and front porch is very inviting and relaxing. The hosts were extremely accessible and helpful. I would highly recommend Sound Shore Cottage.
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this property for a recent quick trip to the OBX. Here’s why we loved it:
1) The place was immaculate. Everything was clean and the features of the property – from the many TVs down to the coffee maker – worked wonderfully.
2) There were clear instructions posted throughout the property. Questions one might have on how to interact with the property were easily answered with helpful signs posted inconspicuously throughout the home.
3) The property is deceptively large. While just my wife and I stayed at the property, the location could have easily accommodated 2-4 additional guests.
4) The environment is incredibly serene. The property itself gets great natural light throughout the day. But because it’s nestled just off the main highway, nothing beat sitting on the large, inviting wrap-around porch each evening to listen to waves faintly lapping up on the shore.
5) The hosts were wonderful. We had a chance to engage with the property owners and they were terrific people. Not only did they help get us settled in, but they served as a wellspring of information, and helped us make the most out of our stay.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Perfect weekend getaway for my husband and myself but plenty of room if we had taken our kids or friends. Loved the decor and hints of the homes history throughout.
Minor hiccup when we got there but the owners were quick with a solution. Appreciated their responsiveness!!!
We enjoyed sitting on the porches and watching the ferry come and go hopping a ride once ourselves. Pass the Salt is a short walk down the road and a must visit for at least one meal! The old Currituck Courthouse is right across the street for a quick bit of local history.
Will definitely stay again if in the area!!!
