About this property
Cozy Home on 5-acre land with a River and Office!
Located 8 minutes from the beautiful town of Mariposa and 45 minutes from the entrance of Yosemite National Park, Riverside Retreat is not just a dwelling, it is a nurturing place for gathering at the western edge of the grand Yosemite National Park. This beautiful home sits on 5 acres of land, and has a river running through it. This is a place to experience beauty, peace, tranquility, inspirational cooking, and the kind of rejuvenation only the mountains can offer.
Riverside Retreat is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, fully climate controlled home that offers abundant natural light and views of the surrounding mountains, boulders and river. After a day’s hike in Yosemite, Riverside Retreat awaits when you are ready to return home. The place is equipped with all the creature comforts one can ask for:
1. Three comfortable queen beds with memory foam in all three bedrooms, and a fourth room that is perfect for an Office.
2. Fully stocked kitchen - the kitchen has most everyday essentials like cookware, appliances etc for cooking a delicious meal and a lovely view of the outdoors.
3. Living room has a TV, books, sofa, and comfortable chairs.
4. Separate Office if you’re in search of a private study
5. Washer Dryer
6. Abundant wildlife - you can spot Deers, Cranes, Eagles on the property and fishes and turtles in the river.
7. The place has fast Starlink internet for a perfect getaway. The cellphone reception varies by carrier, but don't expect it to be as good as you would in the city. We've installed a landline in the office that offers free calling throughout US / Canada.
8.Abundant history -
a) The road up to this secluded valley was used by loggers in the late 1800s during the gold rush. It’s paved in some places, and gravel for about a mile. It might make you nervous on your first trip, but once you do it a few times you will be a total mountain pro.
b) If you look around, you can find perfectly preserved Indian Grinding Holes on the property - some of these carvings are thought to be as much as three thousand years old and are now becoming difficult to discern elsewhere.
9. In the midst of Mother Nature, you can relax and follow your flow. Watch the stars at night, listen to the birds and the wind, sunbathe or chill in the shade.

About the host
Your host

Working in tech in San Francisco, I try to travel as much as I can between work. Being a mountain person, I've had a life dream to create a sanctuary in Yosemite that fosters an abiding connection to the natural world.
By day, I'm a data scientist. By night, I'm usually asleep :D
I'm a well travelled Airbnb guest, and my favorite countries to have visited are Peru, Cambodia, Germany and Turkey.
