The house is in a cute neighborhood tucked behind a small farm with goats and longhorns. The house is directly across the street from these animals and fruit will be available in the fridge for you to feed to them. You can walk down the street to the neighborhood park with a nature walking trail, playscape, tennis and basketball courts, and kayak ramp/ fishing platform. I'm a few houses down the road in case you need anything and all of the neighbors is super friendly. We're also a short bike ride from downtown and have many stores within a few miles like HEB, Starbucks, and more.

About the host
Hosted by Max Bartee

My name is Max Bartee and I grew up in Austin TX. After graduating from Texas A&M, I wanted to live within an hour of Austin and live anywhere on the water. After months of searching, I found a beautiful property just a few houses down from this listing. I got lucky and ended up with the property. Since then in 2020, I've been living in an RV and enjoying the Colorado River everyday! I also started dating the neighbor and we've been together for over a year now. My neighbors on the other side are deaf and have taught me sign language. I've loved living in Bastrop so close to all of the restaurants, stores and historic downtown. When I saw that my neighbors a few houses down had listed their house for sale, I knew I had to get it and share this paradise with everyone I could. My family helped me purchase the property and we're renting out the house to let as many people enjoy the river as possible. I hope you all have as much fun here as I have. I'm also just down the road so I'm able to help you with anything you need!
