Many good restaurants, for example in Spikens Fiskehamn, one of Europe's largest seaports, serve Vänern's delicacies such as white fish and pike. You can try freshly smoked fish and other local specialties such as siklöja with lard.



There are 2 different 18-hole golf courses within a radius of about 10 km. You are close to Kinnekulle, the blooming mountain, Skara Sommarland, Svalnäs with Hindensrev, a beautiful long beach and hiking trail. Also visit Lidköping with its large marketplace, cafes and good shopping. In Grannen you can ride Icelandic horses on request.
