The Fisher House is a beautiful cabin set on 2 acres in the Ausable Acres neighborhood. It's a perfect location to experience all the surrounding Adirondacks have to offer and come back to relax in peace. Hang out on the back porch or by the fire pit during summer evenings and sit around the wood stove in the winter. The cabin is equipped with anything you could need to have a great vacation including central heat and air, outdoor grill, board games and so much more!

eclipse getaway

This was the perfect place to set up for solar eclipse viewing and exploring a beautiful area. We haven't been to Lake Placid in a long time, and I'm sure we will return soon, with the Fisher House as our home base. The house was clean and had all the amenities needed for a memorable vacation.

Lake Placid vacation

This was a great house. It looks just like the pictures. I think our only complaint would be no TV in the bedroom but that is minor. Highly recommend!

Really great!

We had a wonderful stay at the Fisher House. Cozy, clean and a great place to come back to after a day on the slopes. The roads leading to the house are full of twists and turns, so definitely wanted to leave and return in daylight. Thank you for a great stay!

Nice little getaway

We had a great time during our recent stay. The house was pretty centrally located to everything we wanted to do. I dont think we drove more than 30 minutes to get anywhere. It also had everything we needed.. cleanliness could have been better. And i did not realize that the master bedroom was a loft. Maybe i missed it in the listing? Overall, it was a good time.

Nice stay near Whiteface

Spent 4 nights at the house while skiing at Whiteface. Nice place, very quiet and secluded but easy access to the mountain. 4WD important in winter as roads are not paved all the way to the house. Lives up to listing and nice living space. Would stay here again. Thanks Ryan!

Great stay

Was a fantastic property. All amenities as advertised. Clean and well kept. Very Easy check-in/out. Very comfortable. Would want to stay here again on another trip to area. Will definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in lake placid area. There is nothing negative to report. Would only add that kitchen could use a few more regular glasses, but it wasn’t an issue.

Whiteface Cabin

I travel often and have stayed at various rentals. This cabin was fantastic! If you want to be removed, but still within reach of what the Adirondacks has to offer, stay here. It’s about 15 minutes to Whiteface and about a half hour of driving through the scenic mountains to Lake Placid. The town of Jay is closer, but I didn’t venture there. I came to hike with my dog, so the trail options were plentiful. i hiked at the Flume trails and Jay Mountain. There’s also fishing, breweries and activities you could do in lake Placid or Saranac. It was raining during my stay, so I only hiked. The owners of the cabin supplied everything you could possibly need and it was super clean!! There was easy communication with the owner if necessary. Cell service can be sketchy, (Verizon) but the wifi was solid. I truly enjoyed myself at this peaceful place and my dog did as well! Thanks for sharing your home!

Awesome place!

An adorable adirondacks cabin

Loved this cabin in Jay!! It was very comfortable, homey and just adorable. We had everything we needed and plenty of space for everyone. Loved all the design touches throughout the cabin. Loved sitting on the deck and listening to nature sounds. Cabin was fully stocked in the kitchen. Highly recommend and this is on our list for a return visit. Owner quick to respond.
