About this property

Walking distance to St George with many attractions and activities

The Old Town Charming stay is a small Queen bedroom apartment that offers a cozy and peaceful stay. It includes complimentary coffee, mini fridge, microwave, essentials you need and a hand shower soaking tub for two. You'll love our digital guidebook for recommendations, simple room layout and nice walking location in a historic neighborhood. If you’re in for its history, the sound of cargo trains hauling their locomotives through the night is just magical! Hulu and Netflix are available.

Communication is the key to a great stay and we hope to fulfill that experience!
Please contact me at any time! Looking forward to your booking and showing you a bit of Saint Augustine!

Welcome to “Vintage” Florida!
We are just off the beaten path, so you may hear activity early in the morning to late at night….It is a vibrant town!
Our blue home is next to a vacant business with access to parking behind the home as well as the front.
Because you are sharing the property, it is important that guests respect each other. House rules are enforced! We are conveniently located next to US -1 (which is a busy road; apologies for disturbance ) easy parking on street or on premises.

Enter through the right courtyard through white side gate. FIRST DOOR TO THE LEFT -This is a double door to unit #1. First set of doors that has a small front-side deck.
Keypad entry for self check in. Please enter door code and turn the lock. If the light is green but does not turn correctly please give it a minute and try again. If the light is red; the number is wrong or you are at the wrong door.
Highly recommend parking in front of the home to check in then walk behind the property to see other parking options.

Unit #1 is a private queen bedroom apt with a well-crafted bathroom and soaking tub, HAND shower, not a stand-up shower. With a special perk, there is a seating area for two inside and outside on your front porch. The property has a total of five units with private entrances and is conveniently located next to busy US-1. The location is a few blocks away from the best uptown restaurants and shops, and within walking distance to downtown shopping, dining, and historical sites. It's a 10-minute walk to the fort and 15 minutes to St. George S. Free street parking is available in front and 40-amp EV charging in the back and extra spaces. The space is not spacious for those that may be packing heavy but perfect for a short and convenient stay. The shared garden has seating and tables for guests to enjoy, as well as a grill for cooking local fish. The beach is only a 10-minute drive away.

Future renters, take note

We woke up the first morning of our stay to a clogged toilet. (Not to be gross, but it's important to the tale, so I'll just say no one had done anything other than #1 since we checked in the night before.) I plunged and flushed the toilet vigorously for a few minutes, and as I did, we heard gurgling noises in the bathtub and in the sink in the kitchenette area of the bedroom. The room filled with a sewer smell, and we decided there was no way we were going to stay. As we were packing out of the room, we left the doors open so the smell could clear out. When we left, I sent the manager a text saying we were leaving and why and asked for a refund. The manager texted back that they didn't smell anything, and there wasn't a problem. They declined our request for a refund. Now, it may be that there has never been a problem with the plumbing in this room before, and there never will be again. BUT if you stay in this property and there is a problem, and you would like a refund, make sure the manager is called into the room before you plunge the toilet and clear it out and air out the room. The manager (understandably) won't believe you otherwise. I'm giving the 2-star rating for communication because even after we went through the whole back-and-forth texting when leaving after our first night, I still received a curt voicemail from the manager on the day we were supposed to have checked out asking why we were late checking out.

Not quite perfect

We love cozy little places when we go to St. Augustine and this place was exactly that. The home was lovely and welcoming. The bed was super comfortable as well. Had a small mini fridge, a microwave, utensils, a small sink for washing, and a nice patio area. Definitely no complaints about the setup, BUT there were some complaints. Mainly the bathroom. The toilet being so close to the soaking tub didn't bother me so much, but there's a water leak that soaks the floor that wets the area in front of the toilet. Looking closer, there's what appears to be black mold on the baseboard behind the soaking tub. There's very little water pressure from the plumbing as well. Lastly, there's no curtain for the tub so we had to be careful when showering not to get water all over the bathroom floor. One last thing, the stopper for the tub wouldn't stay closed to even take a bath. These are mostly maintenance issues that can be fixed, but was still a downer for me and my new wife. That would explain the musty, humid feeling when first walking into the room. We made the best of it and if the bathroom issues were corrected, we would love to stay there again next time we go to visit St. Augustine.

Location not ideal for walking to Historic District

Toilet was broken upon arrival, I was able to fix it. Electrical outlet on left side of bed did not work for us, no electrical outlet on right side of bed. Location info in listing description is deceiving in regards to walking distance to Historic District, roughly 1.6 miles to closest end of St George St. The neighborhood did not appear to be a "bad Neighborhood" but Cincinnati St is not lit up very well at night and made walking in the dark a little uneasy. The property is dimly lit with uneven walking surfaces and multi level steps and decks to enter the room that can be difficult to navigate with out lighting in the dark. Tub with hand shower as shown in the description was harder to navigate than we thought with slippery surfaces. Overall the room was accommodating.

Awesome little spot for a quick stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this rental! It was a quick walk to downtown and was perfect for a short stay. The rooms are suitable for a couple and had whatever supplies we could have needed. The host are awesome and always responded quickly.

Nice room, but small

Overall a nice, accomodations for one person or a couple for a night or two. Keep in mind it is a VERY small unit. I'm not sure I'd want to spend a week there, though. But it was perfect for my needs. The booking procedure was easy and the host provided the access on schedule. No complaints on this end.

Perfect little spot.

Great location that is with-in walking distance to the Old City Gate and all the shops. Great communication and quick response. Room is comfortable for two people and the bath tub is huge. Street parking right out front makes for easy unloading and loading. We would definitely use again when visiting St Augustine.

Great spot close to downtown

Love this cute space and that it is dog friendly. Very clean and comfortable and walking distance to downtown is a plus! Will definitely stay again! The only issue was that the AC fan doesn’t have a high speed but the temperature was fine.

Great weekend getaway

A nice property in a neighborhood with old St Augustine charm. The property looked to be a house that was converted very nicely into 5 individual units. Our unit was a very clean and perfectly sized for a couple. Not too much and just enough. The owners were very helpful with anything that we needed and responded to messages quickly. We would stay here again.

Great for a short stay for 2

A little extra toilet paper and coffee pods would have been nice along with a broom to help tidy up the small space each day 😀 It was super cute and the bathroom is most relaxing! The bed frame is a little loose/squeeky 😳 Overall a great stay!

Great hideaway

Small house had everything you need for your stay. Towels galore, many items that other properties do not offer, like washing powder & softener, throw away toothbrushes. Our 8yr old great grand child was so excited about the shape of the up stairs bedroom & it was all hers for the week. Host was extremely nice & helpful.

The good and the Bad

My husband & myself were arriving a little early and Huyen was happy to let us get in our room. The patio area was super Cute but when we got inside it was a bit small & there were hand prints and smudges all over the walls and doors. We contacted management and they moved us to another location. They were super helpful but once we settled into our new spot we realized it hadn’t been super clean either. The trash cans were full from the previous guests and no trash bags to replace in the cans for our own trash. There was also no paper towels, and only half a roll of toilet paper which didn’t last. The last night we were there we got back from dinner and the air conditioning wasn’t working. We enjoyed our stay despite the hiccups.

Why they chose this property

Right off San Marco, next to St Augustine Historic district. St. Augustine, Florida, is known as the oldest city in America, in fact, this ancient city is filled with tons of history and things to see and do; walking distance from this location!
