First, I am not giving this an overall 3 stars because it was not a nice experience. But, I generally think of 4 as good, and 5 as excellent. This place was fine.
The good: The property owner was cordial, quick with communication, and helpful with small issues. The inside of the house was clean, not spotless, but clean. The listing states 6 beds, but there are actually 7. There are two rooms with kings, one with a queen, one with two doubles, and a twin mattress and frame stored in a closet that can be set up wherever. Additionally, there is also an inflatable mattress in the laundry area. There is a working washer and dryer, with detergent and dryer sheets. Wifi, TVs, kitchen equipment, towels, sheets, etc. All the standard stuff.
The bad: The neighborhood is shady, I told my wife that I would not bring her or the kids here. I felt safe, but it is dimly lit, and there are characters meandering around throughout the day and night. There was a party going on next door until 2am which kept me awake, not the fault of the homeowner, but just indicative of the neighborhood. The house is older, which comes with older house problems, such as doors that are worn and door frames that are warped. The electrical plugs are loose, and not all of the lights seemed to work. Closet do not close all the way, and there are stains from leaks in the ceiling.
Looks like I am running out of characters. TLDR: Cleanish older house, shady hood, nice owner. 3 stars
