It was an absolute perfect location to stay for a Steelers game! It was very spacious, we felt very safe and the walk was only 20 minutes to the stadium. Super nice, would definitely stay again!!!
It was a nice getaway! The place was cozy, clean, and met our every need. It was walking distance to the football stadium, restaurants, and many shops!!! Owner was responsive and very easy to communicate with. We'll definitely book this place when we visit Pittsburgh again.
This is a lovely apartment in a very nice neighborhood. We felt safe walking to and from Steelers Thursday night game. Go to Western Street and enjoy Georgios pizza and the other bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
We were surprised at how specious and bright this rental was, and also pleased with rhe amenities and local attractions. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a home away from home, not your typical hotel experience. I look forward to my next trip to Pittsburgh and staying in such a relaxing home. Thank you!

Chose this home because it was less expensive overall than a hotel once you figure in hotel parking costs. Plus we loved the idea of having access to a full kitchen and having more than one room to spread out in. My daughter and I were not disappointed! Cleaner and more comfortable than a hotel room too! We had planned to use the pull out bed in the living room and spread out but the California king bed in the bedroom was so big and comfortable we both chose that and had plenty of space. Everything is definitely more spacious than the photos portray! Washer and dryer are simple to use and work well and some tide pods and dryer sheets are available for your use, as well as basic toiletries.
Parking was simple and outlined clearly in the instructions I received prior to arriving. It's a very short walk to the Aviary which we loved, and Randyland. The Mexican War Streets area is beautiful, but pay attention to the one way signs! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. My only word of warning is the stairs are a little narrow and slightly steeper than most, probably because of the age of the building, but they're sturdy! So might want to keep that in mind if you have mobility issues and when you're packing your suitcase!
This was a good spot to explore what the surrounding neighborhoods had to offer. Very clean and comfortable for us. Two things to be aware of when renting this second floor apartment. There is a 3rd floor apartment and you can hear foot traffic and muffled voices from above. Also the entry stairwell is of an older design and somewhat narrow. We had no issues with the stairs but just wanted to make sure renters are prepared.
We could not be happier with our stay. The apartment was beautiful and had all of the comforts of home. The owners couldn't be any easier to communicate with and check in was easy. We only stayd for a weekend, but wish we could have stayed longer, We HIGHLY reccomend this property if you are traveling to Pittsburgh. It was close enough to everything that we just walked everywhere which eliminated the cost of parking, and the stay itself cost us a lot less than if we would have stayed at a hotel. Don't miss this hidden jewel of an apartment! If I could have given I higher rating I absolutely would!
1221 Reddour was perfect! The Mexican War Streets section of the North Shore is a wonderful neighborhood with access to many adventures. 15 minute direct & easy walk to PNC Park & Heinz (will always be) field.
Kelly was a phenomenal host and 1221 had everything we needed.
